Chapter 3: Going Home

Jake looked at the scripts in his hand, he had just gotten back from the post office to get his script to find all of his stuff outside his apartment.

It wasn't really surprising considering he was almost three months behind the rent. He wasn't that upset as now he could finally go back to his mother's house. The only problem is with what to do with most of the stuff.

Jake had already thought of selling or donating them after all most of this stuff he didn't need anymore besides his clothes.

Over the next few hours Jake was sorting out things he would donate and things he would take with him, he was left with two suitcases and a big trash bag filled with all sorts of stuff that he was going to send to a donation center.

Looking at his wallet Jake could now say that he had no money to buy anything but a bus ticket to his mothers. Jake's mother actually just lived all the way on the other side of City G, when he had moved out he hadn't contacted his mother since.

This would probably be the first to she would see her son in two years, she probably wouldn't recognize him as much because of his change.

Jack packed up his suitcases and went to go donation center to donate his undeeded stuff. After all that he spent all his money on a four-hour bus ride across the city.

On the bus ride, Jack couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. In his last life, he was only able to stay with his mom for three months before she passed and he had to take care of his little sister since then.

'This time I will make sure she never has to work again' Jake thought as he looked out the window. His mother's death had really hurt him more than he thought it would ever hurt.

Taking care of his family is one of his life goals, and be able to do all that he would need to first get the role of Nicklos in the TV-Show.

Looking at the script in his hand Jake couldn't help but feel that he already knew some of the emotions he had to display.

With his 64 points in acting, he already mastered his expressions the only thing left was putting more emotion into it. Jack already had some ideas about how to add emotion when acting.

He still had about a month until the audion starts it wouldn't be hard to learn how to add emotion into his acting by then.

''Last Stop of the day, everyone is required to get off,'' The bus driver said in a ruff voice

'I'm finally here just a couple more minutes and I'll finally see my mother and sister'

Jack got off the bus and started walking down the block, the houses here weren't good and most of them looked broken. Some even had the windows broken and there was litter everywhere.

Looking at this scene Jack couldn't help but feel worried for his mother and sister

'How come I never noticed how bad the living situation here was?' He thought while rushing home.

When he turned the corner he saw it, his house the place he called home before he moved out.

Jack was now standing right in front of the door, he was hesitating whether to knock or not it was around 3 am in the night right now. He knew that his mother was exhausted from working and there was no way she could be awake at night.

Knocking gently Jack waited then knocked again a bit louder this time.

"Mom it's me, Jack, I'm home," Jack said with emotion in his voice

He could now hear steps coming

"Jake is that you?" A tired voice said

The door opened and there was his mom in a robe she looked tired as if she hadn't gotten any sleep in a while, she probably hadn't this neighbor really isn't the safest and you never know when someone can just break in one day.

"It's me, mom, I'm back home now," Jack said hugging her he could practically feel her bones when he hugged her.

'Dam just how couldn't I notice all of this in the past' I couldn't help but keep on ridiculing myself.

"I'm sorry mom, I should have come sooner,"

"O, don't worry son all you have to do is just live your life the way you want to," She said I could feel her shaking a little.

"Don't worry mom I'm here now, it all going to change soon," Jack said while guiding his mother to the old couch.

Looking around it looked like most things still haven't changed, everything was the same.

As Jack looked closer at the window he could see that someone had tried to force it open. A bad promotion rose up in his heart, the reason why his mom looked so tired and was shaking.

Someone must have tried to break a couple of days ago but failed.

'I really was a fool in my last life, how couldn't I notice all these small details' Jack couldn't help but think that even though nothing happened in the future if he came even a week late something could've happened.
