Chapter 2: Alisandro Gonzalez (1)
The night was still young. The full moon glazed across the huge lake in the mist of the jungle. From where am standing. You could see most of the animals across the lake, doing what I guess animals do. But for some reason tonight. It was pretty quiet. I could hear things miles away. It was like the
animals knew something was going to happen.
Oh, I almost forgot. My name is Alisandro Gonzalez. Ten years ago when I was nine. I got separated from my dad in these very same neck of the woods and I have been here every since than. I know you are thinking how can a young boy survive all alone in the jungle. First of all. I was not alone. My best friend was with me the whole time and even now. His name is Jet. I named him that because he always in a rush. In case you haven't known yet, Jet is a swift fox. He taught me how to survive in this jungle. I know you have so many questions you want to ask, but after what I am about to tell you will answer most of them.
Am not like other people. I am very unique. You see when I was younger I noticed that none of the animals in the jungle will never attack me, or ran from me. Then I met Jet. I heard his thoughts and I was able to send thoughts back to him. That very moment I realized that I was able to talk to animals. Jet and I became very close. We are like brothers now and almost the same age. As years went by I begin to move, see, hear, smell like Jet. It was like Jet and myself were becoming one but I was stronger, and faster. Jet natural abilities became my abilities but ten time more. I soon was able to synchronize with any animal I see or near by. I was becoming the king of jungle.
As Jet and I sat by the lake. We heard a loud explosion. We quickly stood to our feet. My eyes change to owl eyes. When my eyes changes, that means that I have synchronize with a animal. With the eyes of the owl, I was able to see far in the darkness. Jets looks at me with a look that says, what are we waiting for. My eyes quickly changes to fox eyes. The explosion was about an mile or two away. I do not know how long it takes a regular person to run two miles but as for me, I can make it in four minutes. While rushing through the woods with Jet. We both notice that there were only six people up ahead. I like I said before, Jet and I are one and we can smell anything. We even know their genders.
When we got closed enough to them we stop and hide ourselves. As I begin to look at them. I seen the most beautiful person ever standing in between the jungle and five other men. She have long black hair and her skin was as gold. For what I see, it looks like she loves my home while trying to protect it from those guys. As I continue listen to them talk about my home. One of the men around them pulled out a gun and pointed it at her. Without any hesitation, I quickly ran and jumped in between them. You already know my ride and die partner Jet was standing right beside me.
"Who is this freak Jason?" A man name name Daylan said while now pointing the gun at me.
As they where yelling and screaming at me. I didn't understand nothing what they were saying. But I did know that it wasn't good and I will never let them enter my home without a fight.
The same man with the gun looks at at girl saying, "Do you really want this caveman looking dude to die tonight? You know I will do it Elissa!"
When Elissa tried to moved me, she cover her nose. I could not blame her I was really stank. What got me the most is when her small cold hand pressed against my chest. I lost my synchronize but I quickly came back to my senses as I pushed her hands away from my chest.
Without notice. The other man name Mark came rushing at me. I was so surprise to see him move so slowly. Well maybe to me he was slow, but I quickly moved to the side while grabbing his shirt from back. I was thinking to myself should I kick him or throw him in the bushes. To late, I did not waste time, so I throw him in the bushes. Right after that, the other man A.k.a the leader Saul came and punches me in the face while breaking his wrist. With an blink of an eye Jason pulled the trigger and shoot at me three times. Once again it seem as time slowed down. As I was looking around. I seen a Armadillo running past us, and immediately I synchronize with it.
By the look on Elissa face, she thought that I was going to be killed. Not tonight!
After Jason shoot me, they quickly jump back into their truck and drove off in a hurry. Am not going to lie but those gun shots hurts like hell! Anyway as I was lying down on the ground. Elissa fell to her knees trying to find the gun shots wounds that wasn't there. She quickly jump to her feet and was lost of words. I would have said something back to her but I had fainted. That was the first time I tried to make my body like an armadillo. I did not think that it will work, but it did.
Two hours later I found myself lying down on some kind of soft ground. I never laid on nothing like it before. Don't get me wrong the leaves and grass are some what comfortable too. But this soft thing out do it all. But i came to my senses real quick and jumped up to my feet. Before I could have ran out. Elissa and two other people came walking in. My heart was already beating fast, but when I seen Elissa. I begin to calm down. But the other two people I didn't trust them. But it seem as Elissa did. So I stood there waiting for them to say something or do something.
Elissa walks up to me slowly and begins to talk to me like I can understand what she is saying. Am not saying I didn't know anything, I didn't know alot. She pointed to the taller oldest man and said that he was his father Raheem and than she pointed to the youngest and said that he is her twin brother Theo.
