Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Enhance and Create
"Well let's see what I've got to work with here." said Madison as she put the pillow in her lap and focused on her evolution choices.
'Hey Aiko, do I need to sleep first for every evolution?'
[Only for the initial change and the first evolution, after that it happens immediately.]
'Glad to hear that.'

"Seems I only get two choices instead of how many you got Marcus." said Madison with a slightly dejected look but she wondered what the difference between the two were. She knew a bit about how Mechas from manga but since this was now real life she wanted clarification. She also wanted to know the difference between her current version of Machina and this ExMachina.
[Mecha - A Class where the user becomes more in tune with their machine side. It allows the user to switch between a machine like form and their normal form, however their body becomes more machine like than the original. Please note that after a certain point in the user's evolution, this class becomes integrated with other classes.
ExMachina - The upgraded class from its predecessor, Machina. The ExMachina class is able to become more proficient with any tool or device that the user utilizes. Along with this, the user has far greater control over their nano-machines and can create much more for much less cost.]
"Okay well if the first one will automatically be used later than that leaves the second one...ExMachina."
[Class 'ExMachina' selected. Beginning Evolution]
A second later there was a flash of blue in the room and then a swarm of nano-machines surrounded Madison. There were small flickers of electricity in the cloud but not much. After some time the cloud picked up in speed and so did the brightness of the cloud. Once the evolution was complete the swarm of Nano-machines slowed down before being pulled back into Madison.
When everything settled down, Madison looked a bit different than before. The most notable changes were that her tail grew even longer, her ears grew a bit larger(Mechanical cat-like ears), and her red and blue eyes looked illuminated in the room. However these were not the only changes to her. She now had the body of an adult. She was originally around 5'7" or 170 cm, but now she was 5'11", her bust also grew a substantial amount and her mechanical features along with her hair now had much more blue in them than before.
When she reopened her eyes, she saw Marcus staring at her. At first she thought it was because of her evolution changes but then when she looked down she realized she tore her clothes and she was very close to revealing things that she would rather not show.
"Uhhhhh..." was all that came out of Marcus' mouth.
"GET OUT!!!!!!" Madison yelled and threw her pillow at him before he ran out of the room in a full sprint with Madison chasing him with another pillow to smack him.
"*sigh* That was annoying." said Madison putting her back against the door. She didn't think this would happen but considering how her first evolution gave her mechanical cat-like ears and a tail, she wasn't that surprised. She headed to the bathroom and looked at the mirror.
She realized that the mirror looked terrible in its 'ruined' state and so she assimilated it and rebuilt another one that was a full-body mirror so that she could look for any other changes. She saw how much her second evolution had changed her and sighed since she had to make another set of clothes, and also because she had gotten used to fighting in her previous state that fighting this way would be more difficult if she was forced into a close quarters fight.
Since she didn't like to stand out much she made a simple dress that was black and deep blue with a hint of red. She then made some long socks and combat boots that were dark blue. After looking in the mirror she felt like she still wanted to wear her custom hoodie so she made one that compliments the rest of her outfit and put it on top of the dress.
"You can come back now ya pervert." said Madison knowing that Marcus was standing on the other side of the door.
"Sorry about that." said Marcus scratching the back of his head as he walked backed into the room. "So do you want to talk about your changes versus mine? Because mine seem a lot more...subtle...than yours."
"I evolved, what more is there?" said Madison nonchalantly.
"Even though I haven't met anyone other than you so far, I think your abilities are going to cause trouble in the future. I mean you can literally create things out of thin air and your strength is incredible."
"If someone has a problem with me then tough. I might be kind but I'm not going to be a pushover for everyone out there." said Madison with a look on her face that was a mix of nonchalance and determination. "Ah, that reminds me, we need to check our status."

"This looks good." said Madison with a sly grin on her face. "I'll add those later."
"Seems like you changed a lot but what else happened?" said Marcus staring at the floor after sitting back down on the desk chair.
"My stats are more than double what they used to be and now I can choose how they are applied. So that's nice."
"So now that we have gotten our classes, what's our next move?"
"Finding a new place to stay. I can detect monsters nearby and those absurdly strong monsters are closer than they used to be. They've been slowly getting closer to my house so that means that soon they will attack, and I don't think we want to stay here when they do."
"Any ideas? Since they're already out there it's not like we can do much right now."
"They aren't close enough yet, as there's still some distance between here and them. Tomorrow I have a plan for a new place to stay, just need to leave town to do it."
"Alright...well if that's the case, any prep work that we need to do before tomorrow?"
"Do you have armor along with your sword and shield?"
"No...why?"
"What kind of armor do you need?"
"Heavy armor. After I got my Paladin class, my stats are heavy in the STR and INT departments."
Madison then stood up from the bed, glanced at Marcus a couple of times, then closed her eyes. She raised her hands in front of her while facing her bed and set her nano-machines to work on creating an armor set. Deep blue lightning appeared in front of Madison's hands as her nano-machines began working on making the armor. She made a chest plate, shin guards, shoulder guards, and gauntlets. When she finished shaping them she made them [Heavy Grade] and used her new [Nano-Enhance] skill to tether some nano-machines to the armor so that the armor would repair itself when damaged, though it was slow to repair it was better than doing it manually.
"Here you go, it repairs itself with my nanos so don't worry too much about it. As long as you don't use your armor as a weapon it should be fine." said Madison handing over the armor to Marcus who put the armor in his inventory while nodding in thanks.
"Nanos?"
"My nano-machines. The cloud that you see when I use my powers, those are my nanos. Don't worry about it too much. You'll be seeing them a lot in the coming days. Well if there's nothing else I'm going to catch some shut-eye. See you in the morning. *Yawn*"
"Alright, see you tomorrow along with whatever house plan you have." said Marcus slightly chuckling while walking out to the other room.
