Chapter 14: Fox
Ling Han absorbed spirit stones as he waited for the flower to fully grow.
Slowly the flower began to open up every few minutes. Ling Han opened his eyes as he looked at the flower slowly revealing itself.
Feng Yang also came over to watch as he stood respectively behind Ling Han to watch. Slowly after a few minutes, the flower had completely opened up, revealing a baby fox that had 3 tails.
"fuck." Ling Han said, seeing it was a spirit beast, but how can a spirit beast be birthed from a seed?
The 3 tail fox slowly opened its mouth. It didn't waste any time as it began absorbing the flowers energy after the flower dried up and then stood up as it looked around.
But its soul seemed to almost jump out of its body upon seeing Ling Han and Fang Yang watching it. Ling Han smiled after seeing the fear in the fox's eyes. He instantly understood what was happening here.
"you must be a 9 tail fox which was greatly injured for a second chance at life. You used that flower to give birth to you, the flower of rebirth. I believe that what that flower is called evolved from a normal flower of after it absorbed Phoenix blood." Ling Han said with a smile, shocking the fox and increasing the fear within its heart.
"no need to worry, little guy. by the looks of it, you were young when you were injured. and I can guess a human is the one you injured you." Ling Han said as he waved his hands as a golden apple flew from the tree he planted.
He held it before him to let the fox come eat it, but the fox was hesitant. But with sensed that Apple was pure and could help it fully recover. plus Ling Han gave off a pure aura which made the fox want to trust it.
After some hesitation, it walked forward and slowly ate the apple while still on guard.
"you only have 3 tails. You haven't fully unlocked your bloodline." Ling Han said softly. The 9 tail fox was a powerful demon beast. Those with it's bloodline were born much stronger than others of the same level.
For each tail, their strength would increase. Plus, these foxes were born with a unique ability after gaining all 9 tails. As for what ability it could be, it's different from fox to fox.
You may ask what is a unique ability. An ability is something that gets stronger as you get stronger. If you had the ability to breathe flames, then that flame would get stronger as you get stronger. Unlike techniques which you throw away, once said techniques get too weak.
As to how you can get an ability, it's through your bloodline, those you mastered a Dao, that Dao they mastered would be passed dao through their bloodline as an ability.
Master a Dao means writing said Dao into your genes. Making it simple as breathing to just use the Dao, those children of yours would gain that Dao and be able to use it in different ways.
But as they reached the level you were when you passed down your bloodline. that ability would become useless unless you evolve it.
Of course, there were other ways to gain an ability. Simply create a technique. Creating your own technique is almost like making ability, as you would know that technique best.
That technique would grow as you grow. That technique would not be held down by grade, as the second you get stronger. That technique would also get stronger.
The 9 tail fox is a spirit beast that gains the ability of the mind. It had a high comprehension ability and could even control other's minds or cast illusions.
The 5 tail fox let out a cry. It currently had no cultivation. It had to restart its cultivation from nothing. It even lost the ability to speak,
Ling Han looked at the flower of rebirth, walking over. he cut it open and grabbed 3 seeds from it. Every herb would leave behind seeds to allow them to not die out. All races want to survive. Be it herbs, spirit beast, and demon beast.
They all would want to give birth to make sure their race or species would live on. Even herbs like the flower of rebirth will leave behind seeds.
"Brat. Go and plant these seeds. They are most likely from the immortal realm." Ling Han said calmly as Feng Yang quickly ran over to get the seeds and left to plant them.
Ling Han walked over to the 3 tail fox before placing his right hand on its head.
"how about you become my pet?" Ling Han asked with a smile. The fox shook as it stepped backward. It was as if those words brought back bad memories.
"Someone attacked you to take you as a pet? Don't worry. If you don't want to be my pet, you can become a friend. I'm not one to force someone." Ling Han said with a smile
The fox seemed slightly relief at Ling Han's words. It nodded in agreement at the friend parts. Ling Han smiled as he rubbed the fox head and used the sky poison pearl to improve his talent while he purified the fox.
The fox eyes were widened as it quickly turned its head, there it saw 2 transparent images of a tail began appearing.
Tears almost ran down his face. It looked towards Ling Han with some tears. Ling Han rubbed its head as more apples flew over.
The fox sat on its two legs as it wiped the tears from its eyes before eating. Ling Han turned his attention towards Feng Yang.
"Feng Yang, come over." Ling Han said calmly. Feng Yang quickly ran over before falling to his knees before Ling Han.
"you see, you have achieved the state I was speaking of." Ling Han said with hands behind his back.
"will you take me as your disciple?" He asked as he looked up at Ling Han with eyes filled with hope.
"yes. from this day on, you shall become my first disciple. I don't have much requirement on what my disciple should be or should act." Ling Han said calmly
"Just follow your heart and do what makes you happy, but I will not accept you going around killing the innocent and random people for no good reason. but if you dare ever betray me..." Ling Han didn't finish, but a powerful aura that almost made Feng Yang faint fell upon him.
"master. I Feng Yang promises to never do such a thing. if I shall do so, then may I be struck by lightning and turned to ashes without a complete body, and never to reincarnate again." Feng Yang said seriously as he made a promise on his own life
Unlike earth, where promises were like farts. Here in the cultivation world, making a promise on one's life and breaking that promise meant death.
Ling Han nodded with a smile. Putting his hand on Feng Yang, he purified him while boosting his talent.
"go and eat some rank one herbs to cultivate." Ling Han said calmly as he left Feng Yang, who was looking at his hands with widened eyes.
"... master. there is something this disciple should tell you." Feng Yang said quickly
"speak." Ling Han said calmly.
"master. I'm from the Feng Clan, one of the four large clans. My father was an elder from the Feng Clan about a week ago. He found a strange metal that couldn't be damaged by even a sky realm cultivator or even be melted by the hottest flames." Feng Yang said through gritted teeth, which made Ling Han eyes widened slightly
"The elders of the clans soon found out and took it away from him, to make sure news of what happened doesn't spread... they... they killed my parents. my father exploded his lifespan to increase his lifespan to allow me to run away as he held them off." Feng Yang said as some ties fell down.
"and you are telling me this why?" Ling Han asked with a smile
"because I believe master is a powerful cultivator, you have such a powerful storage tool which could hold life. Plus, you purified me just by touch my shoulder. I believe master is unmatched. if you so wished, you can go and get that item." He said with a bow.
"This isn't a storage item. I just teleported you here using a technique." Ling Han said calmly. he of course, wouldn't tell anyone of the black tower.
"a teleportation technique?" Feng Yang's eyes were wide as he looked around.
"yes, a technique I stumbled upon long ago. as for this metal, I will go personally look at it in a few days." Ling Han said with his hands behind his back. He looked like a middle-aged mam right now, so Feng Yang believed he was an old export he had lived for hundreds of years.
"after you done cultivating, go and continue to look after my farm. when I return, I shall give you a technique." Ling Han said as he disappeared, leaving the black tower.
Feng Yang nodded before looking towards the fox which was eating the fruits. He looked towards the garden and went towards the herbs, which were at rank 1.
