Chapter 3: One Year Old
Shen Ling had started walking when she was around 8 months old and the first word she said was neither "mom" nor "dad'... It was "Jiao Jiao" when she was 1 year old.
Even Jiao Jiao has started walking after seeing her. Jiao Jiao was quite a persistent girl. She'd do anything she was determined to do. When she saw her twin walk easily, though she had to try a bit harder, she did it in the end. She hasn't started talking yet. Well, she'd say some simple words, but not like Shen Ling who could talk like a normal person.
Shen Ling decided to speed things up. After all, no one would suspect a 1-year-old. They'd just be surprised and categorize her as some genius girl who could talk when she was just a year old. At the max, they'd say that she's a demon. But her parents would never allow anyone to hurt her, even if she was different.
Quite contrary to what she expected, her parents were not surprised at all. Sure, the outsiders were surprised. But not her parents. They had expected something like this to happen as she was just too mature and well behaved for a baby.
Not that she minded it. It would be quite convenient for her actually. She can speed up her plans even further because of this.
Ever since she could walk, she would always follow her elder brother around. As he was in the learning stage, he was provided with tutors and their father personally trained him in martial arts. So, she would try to hold the calligraphy brush and write the characters, but in the end, it would end up as some scribblings. She would also just pick up a wooden sword and wave it around, imitating them.
Even though she was quite seriously training, those who saw her didn't feel like that. They thought that it was adorably funny. Who would consider a one-year-old seriously, even if she was a genius?
But for Shen Ling, it was definitely serious. Because she could feel the qi around her. But she definitely wouldn't tell anyone about this. Yeah, her father could sense it if he observed her seriously. But he definitely wouldn't consider it. Even if he did, so what? He wouldn't restrict her or anything. Her family pampered them sisters quite very much and would do anything they wanted.
To round things up, everything went quite well according to what she had planned.
According to the novel, her father, mother and brother should leave them with the Shen family and go to the border. But since the two twins were quite young, and both of them were so adorable in their own ways, they didn't have the heart to be separated from them this soon.
Shen Ling would definitely let them leave to the border. Because the capital is a dangerous place for them.
And she would remain in the capital city, so as not to miss the most important incidents happening and to work through her plans. And for that Jiao Jiao too should remain here along with her.
Jiao Jiao had her role to play and she definitely had to tie XJX with someone. Or else, he'd end up as quite a headache for her plans. Not only that, as she was a shipper of this pair, she couldn't bear to separate them. And from what she'd read from the novel, no one else other than Jiao Jiao could tie him down.
She would even cooperate with XJX if she had to. But that would happen only if it was inevitable. Who'd provoke a demon without any reason?
Even if all went well, it would be quite the headache to make her family hate the Fu Family. They are loyal to the core after all. So, there's no other way than letting them suffer quite a bit in the hands of Fu family. Even if they suffer a bit, it would serve as the final wake-up call that would change them.
But, she was quite confident in changing Jiao Jiao, if she had enough time. She'd make her sister the most qualified Empress there'd ever been. At the same time, she'd have to prevent her falling for Fu Xiu Yi that idiot.
After safeguarding her family and tying up Jiao Jiao and XJX together, she'd buy a mountain for herself, and live a peaceful life there. That's what her plan is.
The first ones that have to suffer should be the Shen Family, and then comes the Fu Family. But before making them suffer, she has to have a strong background.
Hmph, What Feng Xian Pawn Shop? She'd make an information network, which is even more powerful than that. And what does ruling the world compare to when she can control the whole Jiang Hu? She'd like to be the mastermind behind the world, not rule the world. She'd make this world a better place to live in.
After doing all that, she'd leave all of it to somebody to manage and she'd be peacefully sleeping in her mountain 'Villa'. Who'd do all the managing work when she can enjoy her days peacefully?
For all that, she needed loyal servants. Yeah, that's the most important part.
So she was planning to ask her parents one of these days about it. She has planned to get several 5-year-olds, 16-year-olds and 20 year old. She also needed a teacher who would teach all of them.
But until then, she'd just enjoy her days and play with Jiao Jiao. Well, she'd practice too, but she'll still play around with her sister. She never had a normal childhood in her previous life, so she wanted to enjoy it this time around.
