Chapter 16: Treatment - Part 1
Soon it was new morning and Ryuu was still sleeping on the roof because he hadn't got enough rest yet.
But that's to the sunlight which flashed directly over his face, he had to forcefully open his eyes no matter how heavy they were.
"Waaa, looks like it's already morning.", he yawned and then looked here and there only to find that it was 'Early morning'.
"Man... I woke up too early and that too because of the sunshine!", immediately after he told that he rubbed his eyes and then sat there for a few moment because he was feeling lazy.
He took a look at the pouch and was relieved that the pills were alright and the core too. The only sad thing was that he couldn't sell the extra herbs to earn money because someone took them.
He couldn't even search since his Qi sense didn't cover a large region and it seemed as if the person had escaped too far!
He was just enjoying the view of the sun rise and the beautiful sky when suddenly he heard coughing sound
*cough cough*
*cough cough*
"Huh...!!? This...", the sound was coming from the hole on which he was sitting.
He almost instantly understood that it was his mom's cough and thus rushed down and knocked the door.
'KNOCK KNOCK'
"Uncle! Are you there?"
"Uncle!!?", he called out to his uncle to come and open he door which he rushed to open.
"Ryuu! You are back!", he smiled when he saw Ryuu.
Ryuu too nodded his head and then immediately rushed to see his mom who was still cough a lot of blood.
"Mother...", he could barely even see her and it hurt his heart a lot each time she coughed blood.
"That's weird... she is coughing an unusual amount of blood...", he said this while he looked at her clothes which had blood stain.
He took a look at the things that had been brought to his home but many things weren't there here either.
"Uncle, did you bring all these?", Ryuu asked.
"Yes, I just brought because she told to do so...", he replied.
"Ryuu...? Baby? Is that you?", she slowly opened her eyes and looked at him.
She slowly reached out her hand which was about to touch his chin when suddenly she started coughing blood due to which she had to withdraw her hand again.
"Mom! Don't worry... it will be fine soon.", immediately after telling that he asked his uncle to get a bowl full of hot water with some ginger and garlic.
He even asked him to put some salt in it and bring some black pepper too.
His uncle did everything he was told and brought them over to him within 10 minutes.
"Uncle, did you feed her some medicine or something?", he asked because of the excess amount of blood.
He shook his head and said, "Not at all! I didn't give her anything."
"Then why...", he slowly sent a small amount of his Qi inside her body in order to check her properly.
"Huh? The heck!!? Mom, did you eat some sort of hot stuff or anything!!?", he asked with a surprised face after standing up immeditely.
Her mother while coughing nodded her head and said, "Not food in particular, I drank some hot soup which he had made."
Ryuu immeditely turned his gazes and looked at his uncle.
"Uncle!!? You gave her Hot Soup to drink!!?", Ryuu shouted at his uncle because it was really dangerous.
"Y-yes...", he said with a cowardly voice.
"Do you even know that you have pushed her close to death!!!?", his anger increased threefold and he wanted to scold him even more but his mother suddenly grabbed his hand.
"Baby, don't be angry. It was me who asked him to make the soup.", his mouth said this with difficulty while coughing.
Ryuu's anger didn't calm but now it was directed towards her mom and he said, "Mother!!? Why..."
But then he couldn't possibly scold her because he loved her a lot and the respect that he had for her was unparalleled to anything else.
She said, "I'm sorry baby... I was a bit thirsty so I felt that it would be best to drink that."
His aunt was also present there who was patting his mother in a timely manner.
Both of them kept a good care of her but the only mistake of providing soup was their fatal mistake.
But Ryuu couldn't possibly scold two adults right now because he was actually indebted to them.
In this useless place, it was a great thing that they were even ready to help him. If he had asked others, they would have just spat on his face and would have chased him away.
His anger just disappeared when he thought about this and then immediately apologised.
"I'm sorry... I lost my composure and...", he was continuing but his uncle and aunt immediately stopped him.
They said, "We understand that you love your mother a lot and it was legit for you to be angry. Don't worry, we aren't sad..."
Ryuu nodded and then said, "Thank you... buy I want another small help from you both."
Both of them asked with unison, "What help?"
Ryuu smiles and said hesitantly, "Actually, could you both perhaps go out for a bit until I finish the treatment..."
"Oh! You found a cure!!?", his uncle asked to which he just nodded his head.
"Dear, let's leave them alone for a while...", his aunt said to his uncle and both of them moved out after which he locked the door from inside.
"Ryuu... baby, what are you doing? You don't have to worry...*cough cough* I'm perfectly fine.", she said this while smiling which was clearly fake.
"Mother, how are you able to say that when your expression has become so dull and you have been coughing blood?", he asked this because he knew that she didn't want Ryuu to waste his time on her and be troubled.
"That...", she immeditely averted her eyes because she knew that she had a disease which was uncurable.
She didn't have the money to consult a doctor but she knew about the disease very well since her mother too had died the same way.
Ryuu looked towards her and by flashing one of the pills he said, "Mother, I will definitely cure you! If you believe me then just swallow this pill and close your eyes until I tell you to open them again."
She lowered her gazed and thought for a bit then she did what he told.
She immeditely swallowed the pill and closed her eyes tightly.
"Good! Now turn back and remove the back of your clothing a bit.", was what he said.
She did as she was told when suddenly Ryuu thrust her back with both of his palms at the same time.
"No matter what happens, don't open you eyes nor speak a single word!", he gave exact orders which she had to follow or else anything could have happened.
She just nodded her head and sat in the same position.
"Now... I just need the pill's energy to start flowing freely after which I need to direct it there..."
