Chapter 8: Some Mindless Rambling
Bei Bei then nodded his head in affirmation, and said, "Ten thousand years ago, the first generation sect master of Tang Sect relied on his blue silver grass spirit essence to forge a path to glory for Tang Sect. Afterwards, he ascended and become the Sea God, and then left us."
Huo Yuhao and Li Yan's attention was piqued, as they both thought. 'The first generation sect master of Tang Sect managed to reached the pinnacle of spirit cultivation, and ascended to godhood.'
However, Bei Bei's expression then suddenly took a ninety degrees turn, disheartenly stating the obvious facts. "However, he didn't leave behind any descendants to continue on the lineage of the Tang Sect. For the sake of remembering him, the future later generations of the Tang Sect stubbornly glorified the blue silver grass spirit essence when choosing the next sect master."
'What?' Huo Yuhao was quite surprised at the sudden turned of events, but something was not right.
"Did the first generation sect master of Tang Sect ever left behind any sort of inheritance or something of worth, valuables like a heavenly spirit treasure in order to assist the future generations of the Tang Sect members who joined." Li Yan curiously asked an important question, which Bei Bei then immediately denies.
Bei Bei then shakes his head slightly and said, "Sadly, but no. The first generation sect master only left behind the knowledge of how to make hidden weapons and the Tang Sect secret arts, and nothing more."
Upon hearing this, Huo Yuhao and Li Yan's opinions of the first generation sect master of Tang Sect changed, differing from initial first impression.
'The first generation sect master of Tang Sect was being extremely selfish, after having established a long standing sect with hard blood and effort, and slowly bring it to its glory days...' Li Yan thought so to himself.
He then continues with that train of thought, 'But when it is no longer convenient to manage it. He just up and left, ascending into godhood, whilst leaving everything behind that is deemed not important.'
Li Yan thought to himself, 'For the many Xianxia cultivation novels that I've read, given the chance of becoming an immortal and live forever, or become a mortal and die happily with the people you know. Most would often choose the first option.'

Bei Bei then continues on with the explanation without being interrupted, "In addition to that, the future generations of Tang Sect would then put in alot more effort into nurturing spirit masters who possesses the blue silver grass spirit essence..."

'I refused to believe that within the span of ten thousand years that nobody was able to reached the pinnacle of the first generation sect master of Tang Sect with a blue silver grass spirit essence, or much less not being capable of cultivating the blue silver grass spirit essence.' Li Yan then thought so to himself.
'With the first generation sect master of Tang Sect being proven as the best example of hard work pays in the long run. Li Yan thought, 'Whilst, the scales, bones, and the exoskeleton of the thousand years old datura snake can be used to make armour and protection equipment.'
Huo Yuhao was a bit hesitant, but nevertheless said, "Are you planning on forcefully feeding your spirit beast familiar its own kind."
However, Li Yan immediately rebuked Huo Yuhao's inquiry. "Sun Wu, is in no ways related to the wild wind baboons, as he is a yellow vervet monkey. They are not even the same species."
"Just because they are the descendants of primates, just not mean they are related. Wild monkeys will kill and even eat their own kind that is not part of their tribe, similar to how most spiders are cannibals." Li Yan was stating the truth, which obviously terrifies Huo Yuhao at the concept of cannibalism.
The Daydream Ice Silkworm that was hanging around on his shoulder, suspending in midair then answers, 'The boy is telling the truth. Just like you humans not everyone is born an equal, and sometimes you must trampled on over the weak in order to survive as long as I have.'
Daydream Ice Silkworm has suffered many hardship and difficulty going through his life as a spirit beast, being used as a cultivation furnace, tortured, and possibly almost eaten alive.
Being the underdog of story, Daydream Ice Silkworm would obviously understand what it means to be a spirit beasts better than Li Yan, as he is one.

"Sun Wu, go and fetch me all of the corpses of the deceased wild wind baboons, and gathered them here." Li Yan instructed Sun Wu to go and carry the corpses.
'Whilst, I go and collect the thousand years old datura snake's carcass.' Li Yan thought so to himself.
Li Yan then unhurriedly walks on over towards the carcass of the deceased thousand years old datura snake, with the spirit grimoire wide open and held within his right hand.
With the clear intention of storing the thousand years old datura snake's carcass inside his spatial storage, Li Yan then squated down and places his left hand over the thousand years old deceased datura snake's corpse.
'Store.' Li Yan issued a command to the spirit grimoire.
The spirit grimoire then responded as the deceased corpse of the thousand years old datura snake vanishes, thereby becoming particles of light, which is then immediately sucked into the inventory space of the spirit grimoire.
Huo Yuhao was certainly a bit curious, as he then asked Bei Bei, "Eldest senior brother, if that years was truly Tang Sect as strong as they say, as depicted in the legends, then why are they heading on the road to rapid decline."
Bei Bei smiled slightly and then replied to Huo Yuhao, "You will gradually learn the answers to this question onced you've arrived at Shrek Academy."

The hundred years old Sun Wu then carried the deceased corpse of the wild wind baboons, by grabbing onto their tails, and dragging them along the ground.
