Chapter 41: 40. Cavalry Battle
After all the contestants made it to the finish line. The audience made a mad cackle full of vigour. The stadium was vibrating from their enthusiasm. They got to see something more interesting than the usual Sports festivals from all the previous years. All the Heroes sitting in the stadium had their eyes trained on Vegeta's figure.
There was fire burning in some heroes eyes. They were thinking of having Vegeta under them in the internships. Just the publicity that he gained today will be a huge boon to them as well. They could push their rankings up just by announcing that Vegeta will be joining them in their Hero agency.
"Ne-Ne, Kamui what do you think about him". Mt Lady asked Kamui woods who was sitting next to her in the seats prepared for the heroes. You could see intrigue in her eyes. She was looking at Vegeta's figure with a heated gaze.
"It's too son to think anything but all the power that he has shown. We can say that he is more powerful than some Pro-Heroes already. Just his constructs that he made from that Blue energy could be used really well for rescue work". Kamui Woods gave his reply with a serious face. He was squinting his eyes trying to analyse Vegeta, who was standing in the waiting area."
Hmmm, Interesting". Said one hero sitting there. She had a toned body with a nice figure. She was a real eye-candy for people who liked toned girls. She had a healthy Tan on her body that made her look particularly good.
'This boy could be a problem for Shouto. I have to look into him'. Said the guy with a flaming beard and a blue suit. He was the guy after AllMight's chastity. He tormented his own family just to get into AllMight's pants.

I was waiting near the girls for the race to finish. It was fun to mess around once in a while. It refreshed my mood. A really good way to relieve stress. I still remember every participant looking at me like I killed their lover or NTRed them. It was hilarious.
Even Todoroki looked at me with a cold fury in his eyes. He came up to me and looked straight into my eyes, standing just 1 feet away from me. " You are making me angry... You wouldn't like when I'm angry". He said to me with fury full on display in his eyes. His voice was frigid cold.
"Hmph, So. Go hide in yo Daddy's pants, who traumatised you so much that you can't even use the fire that you have". I said to him in a mocking smile. I was trying to grate his nerves further but he is a tough cookie. Nothing like Bakugo, this guy can keep his anger in to fully erupt later. That is the impression, I got from him.
"Alright Folks, We are done with the race. It was a very interesting race! This was the first time that someone changed an event in sports festival so much!" Just then, Present Mic spoke up announcing the end of the event. He had his signature grin on his face. Looks like even he enjoyed the change in the event a little bit. The audience also showed their support by giving a loud cheer.
"Now it is time for the second event of the day! The Cavalry Battle! Only first 50 participants will be advancing to the next round". Listening to the first part everyone was really excited but listening to the second part of the speech. Some participants showed downcast looks. They were the ones, who didn't come in the top 50.
"Only 16 participants will be able to advance into the next rounds!" Listening to this everyone there showed a serious expression. Them getting into the next round depended on this thing.
"But worry not folks!! You still have the chance to snatch victory! The headband of the number 1 spot is worth 10 million points. So get ready to snatch the prize!!" When everyone heard that, they forgot that number 1 spot was impossible take from. Because it was with Vegeta.
"Momo, Toru. What do you guys want to do. Partner with me or someone else". I said to them with a serious face. I did not want to bind them to me and influence their decisions in any way. If they want to team up with someone else, I will not mind.
"Me and Toru will be partnering up together, We want to do this on our own". Momo said to me in an equally serious tone with Toru nodding on the side. I just a small smile and a nod in reply. I did not mind their decision. I just gave a quick peck to their lips which made them turn red with embarrassment. Since a lot of people ere watching right now.
Then everyone paired up into different teams and the show was finally about to go down. I was getting giddy just thinking, what kind of trolling I will be doing to everyone now. When everyone got into their positions. Present Mic announced the start of the event.
I just sat down with my cannon fodder team, I made sure to levitate us a bit higher than the ground to make sure no one was touching the ground and made an invisible dome surrounding the place.
"Die!! You Bastard!" Just then Bakugo came running, sitting on his team's shoulder and jumped towards me. He struck face first in the barrier. Sero quickly caught him and bought him back to the team. His face was red from having struck the invisible Ki barrier.
As he was about to continue. Alarms started blaring in the stadium. There were alarms going on around the city.
"Attention Everyone!! A report has come that there is a monster rising from the ocean floor. There have been reports of other monster sitings around the globe!!!" Present Mic's urgent voice rang through the stadium. Every person except the heroes started panicking. Even the students that were participating.
"Everyone is advised to head to the Emergency shelter near to the stadium!!" Came another announcement. Heroes took charge of the situation and started escorting everyone towards the shelter.
