Chapter 10: CHAPTER 10
CHLOE'S POV
When I came out of the dorm I immediately saw them liana. By the way, I'm just missing everything here.
"Hurry up Chloe! You're so lazy to move," liana nagged at me
"I'm sorry, okay? I didn't know you were such early birds" I said
"Whatever Chloe. You just got a love life, you became too slow on moving. If I know you're just making yourself so beautiful for troy." Liana said causing me to blush. I felt troy walk over to me.
"Is that true babe? How sweet of you! Don't worry even if you don't make yourself beautiful you are still the one I love." said troy while smiling I quickly kicked his side.
"Awww!" he moaned
"Shut up!" I said annoyed trying to mask my embarrassment.
"Let's go. We're going to be late in our class." Brent said
So we quickly went to the classroom. But as we walked we noticed that everyone was making a fuss.
What's up?
"Royalties!" we heard someone shout so we looked in the direction where the voice came from and we saw a student running towards us.
When he came across as he was out of breath.
"What's the matter?" Brent asked
"Someone saw a woman's dead body." the student reported
Our eyes widened except for Zach.
"What?! Where?!" liana shouted
"In the forest, your highness," the student said
"Let's go quickly!" said troy we quickly ran into the forest.
When we arrived we immediately smelled the slimy smell of blood. Eventually, we reached where the corpse was. I saw a lot of students around. Gossip and gossip. We walked quickly to the corpse and the students leaned over. I quickly looked at you and I quickly sat down when I saw who the corpse was in front of us. Troy hugged me quickly
"Beatrice," I said and I covered my mouth.
I know she did something bad to me but to be killed in such a brutal way? I don't think she deserves this. Whoever killed her was a demon. Whoever did this is ruthless. Her whole body was stabbed. Her other body was also severed. Hideous. Dreadful.
"What's this?" liana asked
I looked at her and looked at what she was looking at I saw a white rose resting on top of Beatrice's corpse. Liana was about to touch it when someone suddenly shouted.
"Don't! Don't touch it!" we looked at who was shouting when we looked at one of the students who were here and curious.
"Why?" liana asked
"It's dangerous," she answered
"Huh? How come? It looks like an ordinary then it looks so nice." liana asked confused
The student approached the rose and quickly cut her palm. She dripped her blood on the rose. Our eyes widened from being a white rose to blood-colored.
"It's the symbol of Queen Raven. She always puts something like this on her victims. Yes. It may look beautiful and ordinary. But you should not let in its appearance deceive you. That rose is unusual. When blood is shed from being white it turns red. When you touch that rose you will die. It has a very strong poison on it. And the only cure is in the hands of Queen Raven because she made the rose herself. She is also the one who made the poison." the student explained
"But why? Why would he kill Beatrice?" I asked completely confused
"We also don't know Chloe. We even wonder." Troy answered
"We need to resolve this as soon as possible," Brent said
I looked at him and saw that he was supporting raven who looked startled and scared at what she saw. Poor raven. She is not used to such brutal things. It will be a nightmare for her.
Soon the medic arrived. They carefully removed the rose and tried to burn it so that it would not hurt anyone but it did not work. It is not consumed by fire. So what they did was carefully placed in a plastic container for experimentation. Beatrice's body has been taken to the police station. Beatrice's family has also been called.
A few days later, Beatrice was buried. Everyone mourned especially Beatrice's family. Her mother even fainted from severe depression.
We saw Beatrice's parents walking towards us with sadness is evident in their eyes. When they approached us, Beatrice's mother held my hand.
"Please bring justice to the death of my daughter. Catch the one whoever killed her. I know she has committed many sins against you and other students but she doesn't deserve to be killed like this. My daughter does not deserve this." Beatrice's mother said while crying I hugged her to calm her down
"We will do our best to catch Queen Raven," I assured her
"Thank you. Thank you very much" he said then his wife supported her away
"What are we going to do now? We have no clue who and what Queen Raven really is" Liana said
"Right now we need to rest. What was has happened in the last few days is so exhausting. Tomorrow we will continue to discuss how we can capture Queen Raven" Brent said
A few days have passed but we still can't think of a way because Queen Raven never showed up again as if she knew we were looking for her. We are here now in the cafeteria and eating. We are eating quietly now as if we were all thinking of each other when suddenly someone spoke.
"Students please go to the quadrangle the headmaster Rei was going to announce some important things"

"What does headmistress Rei want to announce?" troy asked but we just shrugged because even we had no idea.
When we got there we saw a lot of people so we just stayed behind.
"I called you all because I want you to know that next week the power leveling will be held. You just have one week to prepare. In this fight, you will also find out which group you belong to. We will announce who will be your opponent at the time of the fight." The headmistress announced then disappeared like a bubble.
WTH ?! One week?! Then how is that? How is Raven? Her senses are not that strong yet! Looks like she also doesn't know how to fight? Raven will be damned!
"What now? What are you going to do Raven?" Liana asked with a trace of concern on her face.
"A week of training alone will not be enough to make you better in fighting! You will be damned!" brent said frantically
"Maybe we can ask the headmistress to move the date of the duel even just for a few days," I suggested
"Right! Let's go to the headmistress!" Troy agreed
"Don't!" I heard raven protested
"Huh? What do you mean raven?" liana asked
"Don't do it! Maybe I'm not as strong as you are. Maybe my senses are not that strong as yours! But I can protect myself! I'm a genius! I can fight on my own. So please don't make me feel weaker than I am. Don't ever underestimate what I'm capable of. Don't take care of me like I was as a fragile thing that can easily break anytime." Raven said that made us stunned. She's right. We are very skeptical of her abilities so we still do not know what she can do.
"We're very sorry Raven. It's just that we're worried for you." Liana apologized.
We saw her bow her head
"Why? Why did you care for me that much? For Pete's sake, you don't even know me! How can you easily trust me with just one snap?" she asked
Was it just me or did I really feel like her voice changed? Whether I imagined it or not, I was still terrified.
"Because we felt that we could trust you and you helped us to be complete again," I replied
"Chloe's right Raven we trusted you because we're friends right?" liana said
I saw her smile sweetly at us. She really smiles like an angel. But despite that, I still feel strange in her smiles.
"Thanks. I'm going home" she said and then walked away but even though she was not far away, she spoke but she still did not look back.
"Sometimes feelings can be wrong. Don't you ever think that maybe it's the other way around?" she said and turned to face us while still smiling sweetly.
Then she completely walked away. She's weird.
"What's with her?" troy asked
"Maybe she's just nervous about the fight that will be held next week," liana said then shrugged
Then we walked away to go home to our respective houses.
I noticed that Zach was just staring at the road that raven had taken as if he was deep in thought.
"Hey, Zach! Is there anything wrong?" I asked but instead of answering me he just shook his head then walked away while smirking.
What's with the people here? They're being weird this day.
