My jaw dropped on the floor at the scene in front of me. King held a girl in his hand. She was not any other girl she was Bria Maxwell. The girl who was fool enough to irritate the hell out of King. Who enjoyed getting on his nerves. Who dared to challenge him and threaten him to punish for his deeds. Who brought chaos with her the moment she entered our lives. Who was naive enough to think that King would not kill her or her family before the contract period of three months.

I watched as he held her in his arms, but he was not calling her name or trying to wake her up. He was only staring at her face and the blood that now had covered half of her face.

"Let me take her to her room." I offered.

"No. I will take her to her room. Go call the doctor."
