Chapter 39: TRUTH OR DARE I

For their first day and first night, they didn't do much aside from swimming, eating, chatting, and play board games. They were mostly enjoying their time before the second day, wherein they will play games with hefty prizes.

The moon was slowly rising to light the dark sky. The stars were very much clearer in the suburbs compared to the city where buildings and light posts would obstruct your sight. In the middle of the camp, they made a bonfire and everyone was sitting around it, chatting, drinking alcoholic beverages, eating snacks and doing other stuff. They just took few photos of themselves and the place before keeping their gadgets away.

Hana was sitting on a log that Liam and Jacob found. Since they were pretending to be lovers under Rio's eyes, Jacob had to be attentive towards her. "Sorry for dragging you in my affairs boss." Hana whispered her apology.

"You don't have to. I was the one who chose to step on this landmine."

Hana could only squeeze a small smile for him.

"Why don't we play a game?" Lily suggested full of enthusiasm. "In camping like this, it is best to play games like truth or dare."

"Right!" Liam jumped in happily. It was clear that he was thinking of mischievous things again. "Let's put a twist on to this game."

"What twist?" Alex asked while taking a seat beside Marvy.

"A twist of King's game. Each one of you will get a card and whoever gets the King will ask two people of his choice. Then the two people will decide either it was truth or dare for the opposite." Liam mentioned full of smiles. He removed the other cards that will not be used and shuffled the remaining cards. "Come and get one. No peeking."

Hana felt a little nervous in this type of game, she knew that there will be mischief and she didn't know what to do.

"And by the way,…" Liam caught their attention once again. "Anyone who will refuse to do what the other wanted you to do or refused to answer the question truthfully, will drink this specially made drink by yours truly." He even made a bow but it made Hana clenched on to her card even more. She can't drink any liquor!

"I got the King's card." Marvy raised his card and sure enough, he got the King of hearts on his hand. "I want the 5 Spade and 7 Diamond to come and stand up."

Two of their colleagues stood up and when they found that they were both girls, they breathed a sigh of relief. They didn't want to deal with men. It would be awkward even if they were co-workers, specially that some of the women were already taken. The two women didn't make things difficult for each other, they asked the opposite to do a sexy dance and the other was asked to sing.

Next round, Lily got the King of Hearts and picked up her choice. This time it was Alex and Theresa who she picked. The two may not be outspoken but they actually liked each other. They have been dating for quite sometime already. Alex didn't say anything but he picked up a Pocky stick and gave Theresa the other end.

"Let's do one task at the same time." Alex mumbled, even though Theresa blushed, she still did it and ate the other end until they got closer and closer. Hana was curious and she watched them attentively, her heart was hammering in her chest when she saw their lips were centimeters away from each other.

They were just in the heights of their game when Rio and Joselyn came, together with other two men and women. "Hi! Can we join you? Your game looks fun." Joselyn shamelessly sat beside Lily even though no one agreed for them to join.

Being the good people, even though they didn't want to, they still welcomed them. Liam eyed Hana and Jacob before he let the new comers picked the card. All of them knew that their boss and Hana were wary of these two people, a bastard and a bitch.

Jacob went inside his tent and pulled a large scarf from his bag. Since his things were still inside his tent, the one that Hana was occupying, Rio thought that they were staying in the same tent. His eyes darkened and Joselyn noticed it, too. After the recent round, the card was shuffled again and this time, the one who got the King of Hearts was from the new comers. Hana clenched her hand on her card but fate was going against her.

Queen of Hearts and Jack of Hearts, she was holding the Queen while Joselyn was holding the Jack. She wanted to believe that it was planned but since they were sitting on opposite side, it was impossible for them to tamper the cards. Rio looked at Hana before shifting his gaze to Joselyn. He knew what she was up to but he didn't want to stop her. He wanted to know something and it was up to Joselyn how she will do it.

Hana stood up and Jacob squeezed her hand as if to give her courage and support. If they didn't know that their boss and Hana were just pretending, they would really think that these two were in a relationship. Even the expression of their eyes said so.

"I really want to make things interesting for you but I only have one chance so, I will make it easier." Joselyn's smile was fake and it made the other women tear her fake façade. "I dare you to kiss your boyfriend in front of everyone. Your former classmates won't believe that you found a new boyfriend. So, why don't you show it to them?"

Hana clenched her fists and looked back to Jacob. She didn't want to implicate him even deeper than how much he already did at this point. Hana opened here mouth but no words came out.

"And why should my girlfriend do that? Who are you that she needed to prove herself? Our relationship isn't for some insignificant people. Either we show it off or not, it is for us to decide." Jacob pulled Hana beside him and took the drink that Liam made and drank it. It was clearly to show that Hana will forfeit the round and he was the one who saved her from drinking the awful drink that Liam made.

"Tsk! What a mood killer." Joselyn went back to her seat since Hana didn't give her a task or a question.
