Chapter 24: Attack on Taiyi Academy- Part 2

The phoenix which appeared in the sky startled everyone there. Shui Jin was all ready to fight against the water demon, Suimu who had an evil smile on his lips. Ying Yue could not take the source of energy that emanated from her a moment ago and lost her consciousness when Shui Jin caught her in his arms. He looked at the pale face of Ying Yue.

"Fire Spirit has finally shown up. Shui Jin, do you really want to fight against me? Last time you lost your people. This time you will lose again," muttered Suimu. Shui Jin glared at him. "This time no such mistake will happen from my end. I will protect the people and will defeat you."

Suimu laughed at Shui Jin's words. "You are no God, remember. You are just a mere cultivator who is beneath me. The girl who is in your arms will be mine now following your death," Suimu asserted and looked at Ying Yue who was lying unconscious. Shui Jin embraced Ying Yue closer upon hearing Suimu's words. He stretched out his arm which was holding his sword. Looking around him found that Suimu's water beast was creating havoc in the entire Mt. Lunebase.

"Shui Jin, be prepared to lose again," said the water demon, Suimu, and in the air made some sign which pushed Suimu far away from them. Suimu balanced himself but the impact of the push was so large that it blew away the bushes and trees along with it. Seeing the powers of Shui Jin, all the Taiyi sect disciples were startled. Suimu was marched towards Fu Shui Jin when Rui Hongchan the Taiyi Sect leader stood in front of him, ready to fight with him.

Suimu threw a giant splash of water towards Lord Rui when he blocked it using his earth element. Yes, Lord Rui has mastered the earth element and air element which makes him one of the greatest cultivators on the earth realm. The water element that he used using the spell absorbed the water splash thus saved the valley below Mt. Lunebase which is home to many people.

Qiu Si and Zhangsun Shan also joined Lord Rui to fight against the Water Demon, Suimu. "Sun Shan, you should take care of the disciples. I will take care of this demon," stated Lord Rui.

"Master Liko is taking care of that. Young Lord Fu is fighting with the water beast so we should fight together against this water demon," suggested Zhangsun Shan. Qiu Si agreed with her husband and pushed him towards Suimu to attack him. Suimu laughed at their conversation when he saw Qiu Si marching towards him.

"These humans!" muttered Suimu with a smirk and then using a spell which was unknown to mortal people, directed it to Qiu Si which could have killed her. But Qiu Si dodged the spell and the next second she appeared before him with her sword. She pierced it through Suimu's body. The sword has used her Qi too which made the impact huge and could damage the body gravely but to all of them, it was unknown that Suimu is an immortal Demon. Suimu's body disappeared from there which startled her and at the same time Lord Rui and Zhangsun.

"Qiu Si," shouted Zhangsun Shan as Suimu pushed her using another spell which threw her miles away. Zhangsun Shan flew in the air and then caught her but the impact was heavy which made them fall out of Mt. Lunebase.

"Hongchan, do you want to die like them or surrender yourself in front of me?" Suimu asked.

"I will never surrender in front of you. The fight has just begun," muttered Lord Rui.

On the other hand, Fu Shui Jin was fighting with the giant water beast. When he saw Suimu use his powers on Qiu Si, it made him worried if she was still alive or not. He looked at Ying Yue whom he was holding on one of his arms. Using a spell he attacked the beast which made the beast scream and he threw the water splashes towards him. Shui Jin easily dodged them when he observed that the water beast was more interested in the fire bride.

"Miss Yue's fire spirit had just shown earlier so it seemed that the water beast wanted to harm her. I think I should ensure her safety first but then if I will run away from here then what about the people here. Suimu is in a higher realm than all of the cultivators here. They will not stand a chance against him," Shui Jin thought when Master Shen reached there.

"Young Lord Fu, protect the fire spirit first. Miss Yue's safety is of utmost importance. I just communicated with Lord Rui and he told me that he had trained himself for a golden core state which will help him destroy that water demon. I will take care of this beast. You should take away Miss Yue from here," asserted Master Shen.

"Master Shen, I have faith in you all but Sumiu should not be underestimated," said Shui Jin and recalled his battle where he lost to him. Master Shen had created a shield around them using his Qi which protected them from the water beast attacks.

"Young Lord Fu, I know your fear. But trust the Taiyi sect leader. The golden core state has immense energy and whoever achieves it reaches crosses the earth realm and opens the door to the heavenly realm. Lord Rui will end this. You should not delay anymore as the presence of fire spirit here is dangerous. Please take away Miss Yue from here, now," stated Master Shen. As soon as his words were completed, the shield broke down. Shui Jin used the distraction spell to distract the beast so that it would not chase Miss Yue and him. Using both hands, he embraced Ying Yue firmly in his arms and ran away from there.

He reached the valley of Mt. Lunebase and saw the valley was completely destroyed by Suimu. "I cannot leave Miss Yue behind. Suimu again came back and made me helpless," thought Shui Jin. He saw a hut there and went inside it. The hut was old and was not used by anyone in the long run. There was a bed on one side inside the hut. Shui Jin gently put Ying Yue on that bed. He then put his index finger on Ying Yue's forehead and found that the Ying Yue's Qi level had decreased several fold.

"How is it possible?" wondered Shui Jin. "Is it because of the Phoenix that was being conjured by Miss Yue unknowingly?" Shui Jin thought. He then placed his two fingers slightly above Ying Yue's chest. A white flame surrounded his fingers. He was transferring some energy to Ying Yue so that she could gain consciousness as unconsciousness could endanger her life.

Once he was done, he pulled back his hand, and then using another hand he touched Yue's forehead. The body temperature of Ying Yue was back to normal and thus Shui Jin was relieved. He waited for Ying Yue to open her eyes before he went back to resume his fight.
