Chapter 24: Incineration Cannon !
It is easy to understand why Genos became an S ranked hero. His handsome face and smooth superhero moves has even earned him a fan club. His success is not without a reason. The main reason of Genos's success is because he looks good.
Genos has movie star looks although his face is actually made out of leather and his hair is a wig. But hey at least he looks good.
Genos incineration cannon attack even looks good.
As for Saitama, he can't beat Genos in terms of looks. And Saitama's attacks are normal punches, multiple normal punches and serious punches. In terms of attack power they are impressive but in terms of looking cool or in terms of the attack sounding cool... well it falls short. That's why Saitama is a C ranked hero. He just doesn't look good. And Saitama definitely will not get a fan club like Genos.
"Teacher please advise me...", Genos said as he got ready to attack.
Genos electronic eyes began to lock onto Saitama's body, the conclusion processed by Genos's computer brain was that Saitama's posture was full of flaws, he could be attacked anytime.
Genos activated the thrusters at the back of his body as he moved at an incredible speed and lifted his legs up against Saitama's body. The air around him burst into flames.
Boom !
Saitama avoided Genos's kick by just tilting his body slightly to the side.
Genos who was still in his kicking posture locked onto Saitama's body with his electronic eyes. Genos's engines on the back of his shoulder pads activated. Genos's arms spurted fire as his whole body moved in the air and Genos tried to give Saitama a flying kick.
Saitama still bends down slightly and just avoids Genos's kick. Saitama's face had a bored look.
Genos's body was not upgraded in vain, he is indeed stronger than before. But when facing Saitama it does not matter how strong you are unless you are Duke.
It was still another missed attack for Genos but Genos was mentally prepared for his failure. Genos moved at an incredible speed away from Saitama's shadow as he utilised his thrusters on his metal body. Genos was flying faster and faster as he prepared to attack Saitama again from the air. Genos's thrusters caused the air around him and Saitama to kick up a storm of smoke which covers the vision of both parties.
Smoke rose up from the ground from Genos's use of his thrusters.
The smoke in the air would cover Saitama's vision, in this way Genos hoped to interfere with Saitama's perception of the fight.
In Genos's electronic eyes he looked at Saitama and calculated his movements to the left and right. Moving up high in the sky Genos prepared to fall down and give Saitama a spinning kick with his metal legs enhanced by the thrusters in his body and legs. Genos converged all the power into his leg and kicked down on the ground where Saitama was standing there with a stupid bored look on his face.
Boom !
A heavy spinning kick hit the ground where Saitama used to be. Genos's kick caused the ground surface to have a spider like crack. The cracks from Genos's kick expanded from his position around him. In the end, Genos's kick was like a bomb hitting the ground causing cracks on the ground to spread around him. Large amount of small rocks, soil and dirt flew out from Genos's kick. The impact caused dust to spread around covering both fighters vision again.
"Incineration Cannon !", Genos shouted out as he used his strongest attack on Saitama.
The dust covered up the sky and the area around Genos and Saitama making nothing visible, only Genos's shout of incineration cannon could be heard.
In the cover of the dust, a red flame light could be seen. High energy temperature suddenly appeared from that area covered by the dust.
Boom !
The stream of energy beam from the incineration cannon hit the ground totally missing Saitama causing the ground to become scorched earth.
"Ah !..... My clothes were almost burned by that attack !", Saitama shouted out as he patted his clothes for fear he would have to buy new clothes. Saitama does not have enough money to buy another superhero outfit again (the last time he destroyed his costume was the fight with Duke).
Genos's face became stiff as he spit out smoke from his mouth. Genos clenched his fist as the power in his body began to rise. Electricity began to envelope his body causing his metal body to shine even during the day time.
"Acceleration On !", Genos shouted out as all the engines on his body began to activate the thrusters on all his body causing Genos's speed to increase exponentially.
"Oh ! He's getting faster.", Saitama said with a bored look on his face. Saitama moved his body so fast that his figure disappeared from the spot where he was standing.
The speed that Saitama and Genos was moving was so fast that both their bodies were not visible to the naked eye. You can only hear the sounds of explosions and loud noises, you can't see anything at all of the fight between Genos and Saitama. The shock waves extended the dust cloud around Genos and Saitama who were fighting. The energy beam released by Genos caused large pits to be formed in the desert ground where they were fighting.
Monsters ! They are all monsters ! Fubuki thought to herself as she observed Genos and Saitama fighting. (Actually it's Genos fighting and Saitama trying to avoid accidentally killing his disciple Genos).
