Chapter 42: Over And Over

As we get closer to the city I can feel my body getting even weaker. Breathing becomes even more difficult than normal and my normal is difficult as it is. The plane finally lands and I struggle to get out of my seat.

I have asked Frank to meet me at the arrivals gate because I know that I am going to have to lean on him when I want to get to the car. I can barely take my hand luggage with me and just as I am about to stumble and fall, Frank catches me.

"You are a lifesaver"

"Yes, sir. I have many names. Have you been foolish again, sir?"

I get a smile on my face as I think back to how I sat in a restaurant next to Mikayla. It was truly the best time of my life and I wish I could have ended the night with her.

"Oh, I have been very foolish, Frank. I have been foolishly in love"

I hear how Frank is laughing at me but the laugh is drenched by heartache.
