Chapter 4: Chapter 4 - Side Missions
Miyuki looked at a new building in Holy Orchid Institute as she walked towards it. It has been a year since City Lord announced Foundation Cultivation Art.
There was a great uproar regarding it. In this year many things have changed drastically in Glory City.
The number of people who are bronze fighter has drastically increased. If the ratio was around 1/1000 before then now it was 1/500. Although it said that Foundation Art was for those before 12 but that didn't mean adults couldn't cultivate it.
Since the City Lord wrote it on huge steels and made sure everyone could read it. Even Common people started cultivating it.
Although most of them might never be able to become a silver fighter for many being a Bronze fighter was enough. They had many new options in front of them.
When she looked towards the practice ground she could see many people punching or kicking. She thought and chuckled over how Tatsuya created a fake book and mixed it with the books in Institutes Library. Then he translated and forwarded the Hakuda they had just bought and popularized it.
Oh, When the foundation art was released they got a huge influx of Contribution points.
They were also able to figure out the point system. A child gives 1 point, An adult gives 10, A bronze fighter/spiritualist gives 50, Silver gives 100, Gold gives 200, Black Gold gives 300 while Legend gives 500.
Although a single person didn't give many points if our contribution helps the whole city we get many many points.
Although Tatsuya only got about 10% of what Miyuki got. Since Art was her reward she got the most credit because that only she had enough coins to buy the Hakuda she was the only one who got contribution points from it.
But she wasn't worried since Tatsuya translated so many books in the past year that is affected by Glory City. To the point that City Lord had to come down and ask him not to translate more books for now.
6 months ago Holy Orchid Institute went through a big change. The new buildings were built and with them, Alchemy and Hakuda departments were created.
The new policies from City Lord and few novels motivated many children to apply. It would have been impossible for the Institute to take so many students.
Miyuki pushed open the door of her class. There were around 30 to 40 students in this class. She soon spotted Ziyun and a small girl with brownish-orange hair sitting beside her. Her name was Xiao Ning'er she was from a winged dragon family and was her and Ziyun's first friend outside family.
"Goodmorning Ziyun, Ning'er," Miyuki said with a smile as she sat beside them.
"Miyuki!! you are finally here. Did you hear we are getting a new teacher" Ning'er jumped up excitedly but also a genius at cultivation?
She was the first of the few children to become a Bronze fighter. Ziyun became a 2-Star Bronze fighter in the past year.
Although, she seemed to have settled down and became much more peaceful and smarter in the past year.
"I know, I even know who is our new teacher," Miyuki said with a mischievous and happy smile.
"Really? Who is it?" Even Ziyun asked she was also curious.
Miyuki shook her head "Not telling just wait and find out"
Miyuki looked around as she saw children talking with each other. It would be a lie if she said that this didn't remind her of Erika and the others.
"Quite"
When she was lost in thought she heard a loud yet soft voice and soon an airwave passed through her body.
She hurriedly looked toward the podium and soon her eyes fell on a Tatsuya who was standing at the podium a huge smile appeared on her face. Soon, the whole classroom became quiet.
"GoodMorning my name is Tatsuya I will be your New Alchemy Teacher. Do not talk until you are asked to. If you want to ask a question raise your hands. We will be starting with the revision of what you learned in the last semester before that if you have any questions then raise your hand."
Most of the children in the classroom looked scared after a while no one raised their hand.
Tatsuya looked over and then turned around "Since there are no questions we will start with the basics of Alchemy."
Miyuki chuckled when she looked at the scene. In the past year, she and Tatsuya became a 3-Star Bronze demon spiritist. Normally it would have been hard for them to become demon spiritists but they brought HP Materia from the store. It increased their vitality which made it possible for them to become a demon spiritist.
Although as a side-effect they could not take out the accessories otherwise they might get hurt. Since there were many healing items we didn't have to worry much about slight injury.
At one point we even debated if we should merge with some bloodline but we decided to wait until we were done with few more missions.
When we became demon spiritists we were able to use our spells again. Although we were able to use only basic spells with some modifications they became usable.
Like Voice amplification that Onii-Sama used he also added very slight pressure in his voice to generate fear in everyone.
Since City Lord asked him not to translate more books for a while Tatsuya became free but since the institute was lacking teachers he volunteered we wanted to observe the students and find talented ones to invest in.
"Miyuki, Ziyun is that your Tatsuya-gege that you two always talked about," Ning'Er whispered. She had heard a lot about Tatsuya from both of them but never met him since he was always so busy.
Ziyun nodded with a proud expression which Miyuki found funny since Tatsuya and Miyuki arrived at Mansion she was really scared of Tatsuya"Yeah, Tatsuya-gege is the youngest Alchemist Apprentice ever."
"Then do you know what he did at the beginning?" Ning'Er was curious about what just happened.
This was the first time she ever saw someone do something like that. Even though his back was turned towards the class she could hear him talk as if he was standing right near her.
"That is a soul technique. Tatsuya-gege said anyone good at controlling soul force could do it."
'That is technically true' Miyuki thought to herself. Demon Spiritists were able to use their soul force very flexibly even more so than a magician.
But at the same time, they were more focused on Demon Beasts and their skills so the techniques or skills they normally used were severely lacking. Although we were only able to some basic spells according to this world standards this was already top-class soul force control.
We also decided that we shouldn't use advanced spells until we know more about the world. It might attract unnecessary attention.
"I wonder if I can learn to do that"Ning'Er stared at the space dreamily as if imaging herself using soul force like that.
"Tatsuya-gege teaches us how to control soul force in the evening. Ning'Er can come and learn too. I am sure Gege won't mind."
'Ning'Er has great talent. She is Ziyuns best friend too. It shouldn't be a big deal as long as we make sure she keeps a secret' Miyuki thought while looking at the system screen.

'Since I didn't get system skill I don't need these but this would help Onii-Sama a lot' Missions were hard to come by. How and why they appeared seemed completely random. Sometimes they appeared at a particular instance like this one while the other times there was no mission even if we try to train people.
'Anyway, this should be enough for now. We should be able to enjoy our childhood now. Together.' Miyuki thought as she looked at Tatsuya back with a warm smile on her face.
