Chapter 10: Chapter 9

Katherina Blackwood's POV

I woke up with the sound of shower running in the bathroom. The room was bright with sun rays evading through the window.

When I tried to get up, my body ached dully and my eyes fell on my naked body which had bruises. I walked to the long mirror in the dressing table and I flinched when my eyes found my reflection. My hair is a tangled mess, marks and bruises all over my body, some of them were an ugly shade of red, some in deep red and green, swollen. My eyes were bloodshot and dark circles adorned below it.

I couldn't help the tears that threatened to fall. I don't recognize the girl in the reflection, and it's only been three days since he kidnapped me. When the bathroom door opened, I immediately stiffened, and watched him walk out with a white towel wrapped around his body. He looked at the empty bed and immediately looked around, finding me in front of his dressing table. He relaxed and walked towards me, his eyes never looking down at my body.
