Chapter 6: Ch. 6: Cure
"Oomph." Doctor An lands on the ground with Kila lying on top of him, "thanks." She says as she stands and then helps him up. He glares at her suddenly, "are you crazy!" He asks. Kila adds the Sea Dragon's core to her spatial bag, "I may be. anyways we're almost done. We need to find two more herbs and a Wolfe Lord's tail." She says as she begins to walk. Doctor An watches after her in shock, "not possible and not happening. If you have't realized but you almost fell to your death." He points out.
Kila glances back at him, "you don't have to tag along you know." She says before turning to walk again. He must be crazy to follow after this kid, but he just witnessed her take down a whole Sea Dragon. He has got to be even crazier for missing out on what else she can do because it was clear that he just met quite the unique child. "As long as you don't ask me to help kill the Wolfe." He says as he hurries after her. She chuckles, that she could do, besides it's not like she needed the help anyways. She'll just let him tag along some more, he was a least a little useful.
The day flew by with the two collecting the last ingredients that Kila needed, it ended with the wolfe being killed and Kila holding its tail in her hand. "Well looks like I'm done here." She says adding it to her collection. Just as she planned she collected enough before the night was over, tomorrow she will create the medicines she needed to cure the Emperor. The way back to the Doctor Courtyard ended up being a much quicker journey. "I feel cheated somehow." Doctor An says as they walked up the path to the house. "why didn't we take that path there?"
"How would we have ran into any ingredients or creatures if we had taken that route?" Kila ask as they enter. He frowns, she has a point. "So what's the big deal with these ingredients, so far I see only two items here that could be used to cure medicines. But as for the others why do you need them?" He asks. Kila ignores hia question, 'I can't say, I should go back to my room and make the cure for the Emperor. I think it best if you stay here." She says leaving him standing there. "Was it something I said?!" He yells after her.
Kila closes the door pulls out all the ingredients that were gathered. She will start with curing the Mengitis, after all that was easiest to cure. Just a bit og the small ingredients and there it's done. She sits the powder she made to the side then she worked on the most difficult cue. This was going to be a tough one, expecially for her who's mana was low. Getting rid of poison used by dark magic that was where the Vortac's heart came in. It was an ugly creature, but no one in their right mind would guess that their hearts were perfect for curing dark magic. But only the weak kind. This was going to be a liquid and not exactly the tasty kind.
By the time Kila finished making the lliquid medicine it was already getting really late, it was a medicine that took at least three hours to make after all. She was not done yet though, next was the medicine to cure her burns, if this didn't work with the Sea Dragon cure then it take her a whole year or two to find something even better to cure them. She might as well find a way t o stay awake, this was going to take some time to make.
Next Day....
The color of the medicine for herself was a bright and sparkiling orange, thet is how one knew the medicine had been made properly. Because even thought the core itself was orange if used improperly it would turn a brown and unnatural color. Also thanks to the help of the Wolfe tail she aquired. This was it and it has already reached daylight, the sounds of commotion outside the Doctor's Courtyard caught her attention as she made her way to the front. Doctor An was sitting drinking tea and staring out the window at the guards waiting out front. "Think they are here for you." He says taking a sip.
Kila looks at him and rolls her eyes, "You came sooner than I had expected." She says to General Obi. "The Emperor must not wait any longer, follow us." He says. Kila nods and follows right behind the guards who led her back to the Emperor's palace. "Tell me how it goes, that is if you come back alive." He says waving at her. Great the last thing she needed was that, but she wasn't worried in the least. They didn't call her the best doctor for no reason, it takes her back to a time in her life she didn't want to remember.
