Chapter 2: 2

It was pouring out Iris said it was normal this time of year. James canceled our reservations at the inn to pleas Iris. Frank glares at Iris as she serves us tea and warm food. It was her homemade soup. "Thank you Iris for having us. Also congregation are in order. How did you two meet." I asked trying to ease the tension. She looks up at James who was looking down at her lovingly. "I got a call about a pub fight. The person said that the bar keep asked two lads to leave. They wouldn't and tossed their drink at the poor man. Well the person who started to engage with the two drunk fools tour them a new ass. The sorry lads had to be transported to a hospital immediately. The bar keep told me what happened when I arrived. Men had her sitting on a stool questioning her. But when I saw she and our eyes met it was like time stopped. I couldn't breath to be honest I thought I died and this was heaven." He said pulling her close. "The next few weeks we saw eachother and talked on the phone. After a month we decided to date five years later here we are about to get married and a child on the way." This floored Frank and me. "A child thats amazing news" I said standing up to hug her. "So thats why you are marrying her poor man didn't wrap it good enough." Frank joked James glares at him. "We planned it actually. Iris and I wanted a baby and we are getting one." He said crossing his arms. "Iris we may need to make room in the shed for our brother inlaw. I don't take kindly to disrespect as you can tell nor does my soon to be wife. So keep at it lad ya find yurself in a hospital bed." James said again that serious tone appeared. The pair of them were a force I could tell.
