Chapter 3: SENSES AND FEELINGS.
Smara stares out the window looking at the sky as rain falls down with some snow even tho it is the middle of spring . Of she told someone no one would believe her . But the boy from next door (Cole) he would . They smile at each other then he goes and reads a book or listens to his music . Smara likes seeing Cole but she keeps feeling uneasy like something inside her isn't right , as if it's not human . She can't help but watch the sky , wishing that she could fly . Later that night the moon is out a full bright stary night , the stars shine in the sky Smara knows they are too far away to reach but she dreams . The moon is a off color tonight she thinks , what was once white is now a dark shade of grey . She looks to see if Cole is watching from his window . He doesn't come out side much , nor does he come over to smara's house . She notices his window is covered by something , was this the first time he's don't that? she thinks .
She gets a headache , she grabs her head and winces softly in pain . She blacks out -.
Smara is held by her mother . "Shhh it's okay " her mother says crying .
Smara smells her sadness "Mommy ...why are you crying" her mother holds her tightly . "Nothing sweetie it's okay" her mother rubs her head and kisses it . Smara passes out .
She wakes up in a room , It looks like her's but it's different she stands up only to feel shorter . "Mommy?" She calls out , her mother opens the door and tears fill her eyes as she stares at what is now her beautiful daughter . "Honey it's okay this will need some time to get used to " she says calmly to smara trying not to upset her. "Get used to what mommy?" Her mother tells her to look in the mirror in her room . Smara listens and stares in disbelief at herself .. "m..mommy" she says stuttering . "It's okay smar-" smara smiles and turns to her mother "I'ma dragon mommy !" She calls out happily . Her mother cries and smiles , she hugs her daughter tightly . "My little dragon " she says as she cries and smile's .
Smara runs and jumps out her window and spreads her golden and purple wings . She hears her mother calling for her but she can't help it , her dream was to touch the clouds above . "SMARA!" Her mother calls for her , smara keeps flying higher and higher until she does it . She reaches the clouds , she's here where the clouds rest during the night . She takes a tiny bite only to giggles at her thought from before . She turns around and plunges down threw the air tucking her wings behind her . She then moves them like a parachute and glides down saftly and runs into her mother's arms changing back into a little girl "mommy !" She laughs and smiles . "The clouds taste like air " she giggles and hugs her mother as she cries and hugs her daughter smiling knowing she's okay .her mother picks her up only to find a tail on her daughter's back . "Smara " she says alittle cunfused . Smara turns around to see her tail "oh my..." She hugs her tail . "Mommy look ! " Smara giggles and tries way her tail , . "Smara time for bed " her walks in after hearing and seeing his daughter flying in the air . "Tomorrow we need to talk about this ." He says while kissing his daughter gn and grabbing his wife's hand and they close Smara's door together . "We must accept this " he says to her mother softly in a whisper . They cry and hug each other .
Smara stares out her window and See's Cole watching her , she goes to wave but he quickly leaves his room . Cunfused she looks down at her pillow and hugs it and cries softly . Am I a monster? She thinks . Then she remembers what her mother said , " no I'm mommy's dragon I must protect them " she whispers to herself . Smara falls into a deep sleep only to be watched by Cole . He sits by her window , watching her, admiring her tail. He puts his hand on the window as he spreads his coal-black wings
And fly's away feeling a arura forming from above . A snow white dragon boy slowly aproches Smara's window
He watches her and moves his hand in a circle only to hear Cole sniff the air . The white dragon darts off into the night sky .
Fearing he is being followed he posses as a star in the sky and watches the ground below he See's Cole gaurding the girl's house . He snarls and fly's off . Cole goes into his house and rest's . He's gonna need it , in fact every dragon needs it at this time . At this time dragons will sleep for 2 days in order to age again . This is normal for them but for Smara and her family this will be, New . Every dragon will remain in their teens for more years then humans . But will smara ? . And who was that white dragon boy ?.
