Chapter 3: Exploits from Another World Ch 3. (The Timid Beauty... And Her Sisters)

The Timid Beauty... And Her Sisters

Kingdom of Esseavast, Ingtasia

???

After about a 10 minute walk down the hill, where the school was located. Along with another hour's walk through the city. We made it to the alluring castle in the middle of the kingdom. And damn was I tired. The heat here is comparable to California in the summer.

I looked around, drenched in sweat. Mostly everyone else was wheezing except for a few notable students. Looks like I wasn't the only actual human around here. Well my stamina was never great. The Princess on the other hand seemed fine. Lucky her. Adapted to this heat must be nice.

I gazed up from the entry of the castle. Around the castle stood about 20 towers in the front , each being about 1,000 feet tall. As for the main castle, it looked around twenty hundred feet tall. As for how wide it was going in, I couldn't tell. Hell, I couldn't even see the sun.

"Amazing," I said under my breath as we walked into what resembled a throne room. Well, it had a throne so that's probably what it was.

Terensu looked at me then turned back ahead.

"It's alright, I guess." He said, scratching his cheek. Still maintaining a rather bored expression.

On the throne at the front of the room sat a blonde girl, who looked fairly similar to Eleth. I couldn't see much of her since my eye sight is shit. But it looked like she was grinning, or something of the sort. Next to her was another blonde girl. She looked about our age and held a worried expression as she looked at us. Knowing how this usually goes. They were most likely the siblings of Eleth.

Both of them were wearing ball gowns, with darkish red colors as the main theme of both dresses. Cliché if you asked me. No one wears a fucking ball gown every day. Especially if you add the sadistic color scheme they chose.

"Cliché..." I whispered, rolling my eyes.

As we slowly approached the two girls. Emphasize slowly by 100. Eleth began smiling and ran to them. Cringe. Very cringe. How could you do that in front of all the people here? Do you not have shame as a princess.

"Sisters! I've brought the people who will do away with The Demon Lord." Eleth yelled to the front of the room, as she approached her supposed sisters.

Ha. Did ya see that? Sisters. Just as I thought. See kids? This is why you read a lot. Just in case you're just so happened summoned to some weird ass world.

We reached the throne soon after Eleth. The room was wide enough where all of us could gather around the throne and still be able to see the Princesses.

"This is... a lot of people, sister...." The girl on the throne said, standing up. She looked a bit older than us but was still not as old as Eleth.

She walked up and bowed to the nearest person to her. Eh, he's a sixth-grader I don't know. The other guys in our school though looked envious.

The girl raised her head then smiled blatantly. "Nice to meet you heroes. I am The 2nd Princess of Esseavast. You may refer to me as Princess Lachlia." She said, winning the breaths of mostly everyone. Well like her other sisters, she was definitely beautiful. But I could tell. She was some sort of masochist. She had that crazy look hidden beneath the facade. The long hair added to it as well. I heard claps beginning to form throughout the crowd. Until everyone excluding a few, such as yours truly, began to clap.

"At ease... Thank you. As for this little girl." Lachlia said, smiling and patting the other Princess on the back, as the girl our age walked up next to her sister, and bowed.

She raised her head, but unlike Lachlia, she had a reserved, diffident expression. Quickly hiding behind her sister after bowing.

Ah. Well. I can't say it's cliché... But a timid princess? It's not uncommon per se. She doesn't seem anything like her sisters at all.

"H-hello... I'm The 3rd, youngest Princess of Esseavast. Luciana Esseavast. N-nice to meet you."

The short haired beauty shyly said.

Yep. Nice to meet you too princess, but can we please just get done with this babbling. I'm quailing more and more by the second just listening to these fools talk.

"(Sigh) Can this kidnapping, short, cliché, shy, unconfident, probably no friends, bitch looking ass princess just shut up...?" I groaned impatiently during the rounds of clapping from the idiots behind me. I'm not a rude person, I'm really not. But I hate this... It's so fucking predictable. To the point where it's not entertaining. But trust me, I'm a gentleman in and out.

I looked at the 3rd Princess irritated. To my surprise, she was staring straight at me, looking like she was on the verge of tears. I fabricated a disgusted face unintendedly. Realizing the face I made, I quickly disposed of it and looked down.

Wuh oh. Did she hear me sigh? Impossible. But... Did she…? I said those things half heardetly. She shouldn't take it seriously if she heard me. That's fucking hilarious though.

I composed myself and looked back up at the three princesses. Keeping my head down could raise suspicion, and we don't want that, now do we?

Well, Whatever... It's not my fault she's a sheltered brat who breaks down from someone merely groaning. It wasn't even an insult. It was constructive criticism.

"L-Luciana?! Why are you crying? Which scumbag hurt your feelings?" The Second Princess, Lachlia, said comforting her sister before turning to look at the crowd. The clapping ceased and everyone dropped dead silent. My classmates began looking around anxiously.

Oh shit. This could actually be kind of troublesome. Third Princess you bitch. Don't you even dare throw me under the bus.

Luciana peeped at me before turning away. My eyes widened and my heart dropped. She obviously didn't intend to turn me in from what I could see... But what the hell bro...? She was making it so painfully obvious that it was me, who made her "cry".

She peeped at me again. This little bitch... Was she doing this on purpose?

I looked back at her and mouthed "Stop looking at me." She didn't seem to get the note since it was only another couple of seconds from her peeping again before The Second Princess started looking at me too.

You've got to be kidding me…

The people around me began to turn their eyes into my direction. I was looking to keep under the radar for the most part. But… Oh well, whatever.

"Is that the bastard who made you cry?" Lachila asked her in a tone you would talk to a newborn in. In a matter of seconds, the entire school's eyes were on me.

"You idiot. What did you do?" Terensu whispered to me keeping his head facing the princesses, and his figure stiff.

"Bro, I swear. All I did was sigh. I don't know why that bitch has her buttons in a knot." I replied. Though I probably shouldn't have said that. The room was completely silent after all. And having a conversation like this. Well, it would be best to wait to be frank. I don't really care though. This is fucking just plain annoying. I'm innocent! All I did was sigh your honor!

The Second Princess had her hands in a fist. Seems like she didn't take criticism to her sisters very well. She began walking across to where I was standing.

"Bitch? Do you dare call a member of the royal family a bitch? Let's see if that vocabulary of yours keeps up on the gallow." She said, gritting her teeth. I held my hands up.

Damn... The gallows? Talk about a medieval execution method. Well, nows not really the time to think about that. This is probably the end for me. So let's just hope that when I'm executed, I'm reincarnated into another world or something lmao.

"Woah there you little shi-" I began just before being interrupted.

"S-sister... I'm fine! Let's just continue with the speech..." Luciana said, looking down avoiding everyone's eyes. She wiped tiny tears off her eyes, all the while grasping her sister's arm with her other hand. Lachila turned back to her with a concerned look.

"B-But sister. That man cannot go unpunished after slandering your name! I won't let him!" Lachila returned, pleading with her sister to reconsider. Kind of weird how Luciana has more control over Lachila than the other way around.

"S-sister... Let us not keep the heroes waiting." Luciana said sliding back behind Eleth, ending the quarrel. She still had tiny teardrops on her face. but it didn't look like it was anything to serious.

"A-alright..." Lachila said smiling at her sister before walking back next to their eldest sister. I stared over at her. She glared back at me. Staring bullets indirectly into my eyes.

Eh... Scary... Well, I'm glad that's over with. Nice clutch Third Princess. You may not be as bad as I made you out to be.

Eleth began talking again, and everybody's attention had gone back up to her. Thank god though... I doubt many people in my school even knew I existed. So suddenly getting that amount of attention... Would've made my ego shoot up higher than it already was. And that's saying something.

I looked back at the front over to Luciana. Hmm. She has a different kind of beauty compared to her sisters. She wasn't that short to be fair. Maybe a bit shorter than me. She had hair that stopped at her arm sleeves, and a petite build. She was cute to be blunt.. Almost like a puppy you want to protect. I couldn't care less for dogs though. I was more of a cat person. But the statement still stood. What a fragile personality though.

Luciana glanced back, lightly smiling once she noticed I was looking at her. Did she notice me looking? Her intuition is real sharp. Still... Smiling at me after making her cry? She's... She's... AN ABSOLUTE IDIOT WOW! It's kindness like this that lets people take advantage of people. And to be fair. It was her fault for being too soft.

"Bro. That Third Princess is such an id-" I whispered comedically over to Terensu who shoved me mid-sentence. I remained gazing at Luciana while Terensu talked.

"Ouch…" I blatantly said.

"You're so dumb...! She can obviously hear you. Even you could recognize that her sense of hearing isn't on the same level as ours..." He complained to me. In a voice so quiet, I could barley hear him. I put my attention to Luciana again, who was smiling back still.

Wait… What? She can hear us? Really... At least I didn't say anything too impulsive...

I stared at Luciana.

"Oh... So you can hear us huh?" I asked, waiting for Luciana to give some sort of confirmation. Terensu looked over to her as well.

After I finished my sentence, she gave a slight nod. Weird... Aren't you supposed to be the shy beauty of the kingdom? Ah, I get it... She thinks that just because she saved me from being executed. She can go walk all over me. I looked over to see if any of my classmates could hear me… Apparently not. Good.

"Third Princess. Listen here. I'm really sorry about what happened earlier. I didn't sigh because of you or anything. It just so happened that today was actually my mother's birthday. And well, I missed the party being here. So I just wasn't feeling up the task of the demon lord shit... Uh, you know?" I whispered, lying so obviously through my teeth. I looked down and tilted my eyes a bit towards Terensu. Coming up with a straightforward lie on the spot, that's just my thing. Could this be considered a lie though… It seemed more like a joke.

Terensu looked at me with a disgusted face. I know... Me apologizing? I'm disgusted at myself for giving in. But depending on how Luciana reacts. This may just be the first best decision I've made in this world.

I looked up back to the blonde princess. She was smiling brighter than she was before and nodded again.

I raised both my eyebrows.

Wow. Is she actually fine with forgiving me just like that. There's no way a human could actually be this easy to deceive. I'm starting to feel bad… Not really. . Here's a tip to everyone out there... Forming connections is the single best thing you can do. Once you do it, you'll see the abundance of benefits it holds.

"So... I hope we can be good friends?" I whispered, cringing to the side for a brief second. I smiled and held my hand out. Not like she could shake it. But it makes a good impression. Terensu looked terrified from hearing me say that. Fuck... I hate forcing a smile. I only smile when one literally pops up without me noticing. It's better to not discuss when those real smiles actually pop up... Not funny...

I stared at Luciana, waiting for her response. Why… Why the hell does keeping the smile on take so many facial muscles...?! It… It kinda hurts keeping it on for this long…! Come on princess... All it takes is one nod.

Within a couple of seconds. Luciana's face beamed into what looked like to me, a genuine smile. Wait a minute... Pfft! I began grinning as well. Not because I was happy or anything. But because I just realized how stupid the princess must look. I hope no one else is looking at her. Cause to everyone else, she appears to just be smiling and nodding for no reason. LOL.

Well, that's settled. Luciana turned away to look at her eldest sister who was still talking. I turned over to Terensu, not saying anything. He nodded. I shrugged and pulled the collar of my shirt down a bit.

We can't say anything... Considering how she heard us... Luciana's able to hear any and all conversations in this room. Which is about...

I shrugged Terensu moving my eyes at the walls of the room. Terensu held up two fingers. He then held out his right index finger and pointed it up. Finishing it by holding out another eight fingers.

Alright... Luciana's able to hear in at least a radius of 2^8 meters. Which is... Ah... At least 256 meters...

That's quite a lot... And that's just the bare minimum. Meaning we probably have to hold off talking until further notice...

"Now... The moment you've all been waiting for! You may be wondering how you're going to even defeat the Demon Lord in the first place." Eleth said, catching my attention. I wasn't really paying attention to what she was saying. But this sounded important, as she was talking in monotone for her whole speech except for this part.

Finally... The part I personally was waiting for. Waiting for more than anybody else. Here comes The Power System.
