Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Departure and Arrival!

Seven months had passed since he witnessed Paragus storm off. Theo, now calling himself Arlic had turned a year old one month ago. Arlic had learned a great deal more from the pod, however it had stopped teaching him a little under a month ago. He knew what that entailed, especially since his 'mother' had visited him three days ago. She had explained that his power level only qualified him to be a low-class warrior, as such he was to become an infiltration baby.

Arlic was going to be sent to Planet Kreme, he was to cull it of all life. Arlic had never killed another sentient being before, he felt a little hesitant at first, he soon overcame it though. If was to kill another, then so be it, but it would be his choice, not something he would do on command. Besides, this world was doomed anyway, and he wasn't planning on changing that. Arlic only planned for what happened after he left this world. He needed to learn about what he was capable of and Planet Kreme would afford him the opportunity to find out.

That was the only reason he was going at all, he could simply change his ships destination, he owed nothing to this world, after all. Thinking of what would secure his future, Arlic smiled, this was going to be an interesting life. The pod soon called him to slumber for what was to be the last time. Waking as his mother 'Luffa' carried him to the launch platform, he was both grateful toward the woman who had visited him weekly and slightly apprehensive to finally be starting his journey.

Reaching the platform, his mother placed him inside his very own [Space Pod], soon after, she pat him on his head, saying something before turning around and walking away. "Grow strong, my son. Never abandon your pride as a warrior!" Arlic carved her image into his mind, this was the second mother he had to say goodbye to.

As the engineers where prepping to launch Arlic's Space, some were unnerved by his calm look on his face. Most children would have been crying at the top of their lungs, this child however was observing their every movement with a studious gaze. Finalizing their launch prep, they cleared the area, but not before noticing the child's sudden laughter. "Something off about that kid." Shaking his head while sighing the lead engineer approached a nearby console and triggered Arlic's launch.

When the ship took off, Arlic who was sitting in the oversized chair of the [Space Pod], began to sing in a small childish voice. "She packed my bags last night pre-flight…" Strumming an air guitar as the [Space Pod] left Planet Vegeta's atmosphere, Arlic stopped to peer out of the small round window at the front of the craft. Arlic went silent when he saw an ocean of stars before him through the window, leaning his head back, eyes suddenly filled with resolve, he put his arms on his seat's armrest and tried to relax as the craft shot forward at maximum speed.

"This is only the start." Arlic pressed a small red button at the end of the armrest. A small humming noise resounded throughout his spacecraft as its suspended animation function activated. His destination already set; he knew the craft would wake him shortly before arrival. Stasis kicked in quickly, he fell asleep with little resistance, as the craft continued its way through space. Just over three weeks passed in silence when the stasis ended. Arlic awoke slowly as he neared the planet he was going to be spending the next few years on.

Standing up and stretching after his three-week nap, he looked out the small round window. What he saw was a half white, half greenish-blue planet which looked simply stunning from space. Realizing he was about to enter the planet's atmosphere he reached to his right side, pressing a sequence of buttons on the wall of the pod. The sequence opened a mid-sized compartment that could be found in nearly every [Space Pod]. Held within were three things, a remote control for the pod, [Saibaman Set], and a green lensed [Scouter].

Smiling, he placed the [Scouter] on his left ear, it acknowledged him by flashing three yellow numbers over the green lens. These numbers were his own power level, they read >157. Smiling again, "I can work with that." Arlic grabbed the controller and closed the compartment, sitting back down he waited. Entering the lower atmosphere, his craft slowed its descent only slightly, putting a small crater on the greenish- blue side of the planet's surface. As the front of the craft lifted open, he turned around in his seat pressing a small latch at the top. The seat leaned forward as he reached behind it, pulling out a black under suit alongside old style green and brown [Battle Armor].

Arlic put on the stretchy, yet sturdy under suit, alongside the armor with arm bracers and boots. He only had trouble with his tail, it was tender to the touch. Grabbing the [Pod Controller], which looked like a calculator, he placed it in a stretchy pocket near his hip.

Once he stepped out of the ship, he wrapped his tail around his waist like most Saiyan's would. Looking around at his surroundings he noticed mostly moss-covered rocky terrain. Looking into the distance at what looked like large grey trees, his scanner lit up with multiple numbers. More than a few >90's with one >110 in the mix.

Looking back at his pod, he thought it would be unwise to leave it here. Stepping back, he took out his controller, pressing a few buttons the [Space Pod] began to float before shooting into a stationary orbit. Watching it leave, he quickly began searching for the basics required for survival. Food, water, and shelter. Without those he could easily end up in a tight spot.

Closing his eyes, Arlic recalled his time in the incubation pod, within those memories, he began to remember what it taught him about harnessing his own energy. With his eyes still closed, he began circulating his [Ki], air began to churn around his feet, shortly after his body was floating nearly five feet off the ground.

Though he was a bit unstable at first, he quickly got the hang of it, opening his eyes he shot straight up into the sky. When he reached the edge of the troposphere he stopped, taking in not only the joy of flight, but the sheer majesty of the world stretched out before him.

Looking down, he spotted a few lakes among the trees. Numbers yet again lit up his [Scouter], "That's food and water, now I need shelter." Grinning bitterly at the thought of eating the locals he realized he should probably inspect his potential prey. Shooting down, he landed on top of one of the large trees, laying eyes on one of the creatures triggering his [Scouter].
