Chapter 6: Chapter 10 (Mutants)
An A-grade Body Refining potion is around 2M-2.2M; it depends on where you are buying. Fortunately, there is a branch of Life Nutritions in Sky City, and their prices of potions are lower than any other company selling potions out there.
An A-grade Body Refining Potion sold by Life Nutrition is 2M, nothing less or more. They have a base price for every single potion. E-grade potions are between 100-300K; because some potions are more valuable than others. Like Body Refining potion, it is one of the most expensive potions.
A-grade potions are between 1-3M; as for S-grade potions, they are 1-8B. But these are the prices that Life Nutrition sells potions for; some companies sell for a far higher price.
But Life Nutrition is a company of Holy Spirit Empire. They don't have many branches over the world. They have 3 in the US, 2 in China, and 1 in the Holy War Empire. And the Empire of Ice never allowed anyone to step foot on the Elemental Continent; same for the company.
Alex already knows all this; that is why he was trying his best to sell the store for 2M. If not for the fact that the whole world about to take part in some crazy Race War, and money will lose all its value soon. Alex wouldn't sell his store even for 3M.
"So, Mister James, should we proceed with the paperwork?" Asked while casting a glare at the man who came with James. At first, he thought he was the real estate agent, but now Alex is having second thoughts. This man wasn't acting like a real estate agent at all; instead, he seems more like James's relative.
Seeing Alex look toward the man behind him, James's serious look disappears and once again start smiling, "Eh! I completely forgot. Alex let me introduce you; this is my son Billy. He is just a few years older than you, but he is already CEO of New Techs."
"Nice to meet you, mister billy." Alex extended his hand while thinking, 'Did this old man just mocked me? What good about being the CEO of New Techs? Wait, isn't that one of the top 100 companies in the country.'
As Billy handshake with Alex, a look of contempt appeared on his face, which he quickly hides. But since Alex was busy in his thoughts, he didn't see anything.
"It's good meeting your son, Mister James. But what about the paperwork; you know I need money quickly. If not for that, I wouldn't be selling the store for what you are offering me." Alex was a little surprised knowing that James's son is the CEO of New Techs, but it has nothing to do with him.
"You don't have to worry about that; the real estate agent is already on the way with all the necessary paperwork." Said James while taking out his mobile and dialing someone's number.
"*blingbring* *blingbring* *blingbring* Sir, I am stuck in traffic it will take me some time to arrive at the store. But Sir, don't worry, I already prepare all paperwork. We now only need the owner to sign and hand over the property papers." Voice sounded from the other side of the mobile.
"That fine! try to get here as quickly as possible." Saying that James hangs up.
'Why the hell it sounds like they are doing me some favor buying the.....' Just as Alex started thinking about why they were like this, full of arrogance. James spoke while looking toward his son Billy. "Since it will take some time for the agent to arrive, why don't we look around the store."
"Why not, dad; I also want to see what's in this crapy store is worth so much." Replied Billy, as he started looking around the store. Both father and son acted like they already own the store; this left Alex dumbfounded.
Right now, he really wants to drive them out of his store. But he stops himself beacuse he wasn't sure if he can find another buyer in the next few days.
'Calm down! Why am I getting angry? Aren't they just acting arrogant and nothing more.' Calming himself down, Alex looks at the father and son duo with great interest, as if watching some clowns.
He did nothing to stop them, nor he followed behind them. Instead, he waited at the counter of the store, waiting for them to finish. Before long, both father and son return holding some beers and snacks.
"Dad, you were right. Although this store doesn't look much from the outside, it something else from the inside. 1.9M is a good price for the store." Said Billy, while enjoying the beer he took from the store.
"What! did you think my judgment was getting clouded as I grew old. Eh! this beer is good. Although I prefer coffee over a beer, I think I can get addicted to this flavor." Both father and son acted like Alex didn't exist at all. But this time, instead of getting angry, Alex merely smiled.
Looking at Alex smiling, Billy sneezed with contempt. Although Alex saw this, he completely ignored him and said to James, "Mister James, you seen to enjoying yourself. Anyway, it's been for more than 20 minutes...."
Before Alex could finish speaking, he heard someone's voice coming out of the store. "Jone, you were right; the best thing about this store is its location. The only other convince store from here is 1-mile away; if there was a gas station here, then this store can generate a lot of cash."
"Didn't I told you, Sir. The owner seems to be in a hurry to sell the store. He is willing to sell it for 10% less than the market price, although our appointment was at 11:00 am, it doesn't matter if we arrive an hour early. I am Mister Alex will be happy to see us." Another man replied as they enter the store.
The moment James and Billy saw them enter the store, a look of panic appear on their face, but it quickly got replaced with a smile. But Alex saw all this and started to wonder what exactly was happening.
But before he can figure out what exactly was happening, James spoke, "I think there no need to waste time anymore. Ral come out; we have to capture him quickly."
Suddenly a man appears in front of Alex and tried to grab him.
