Chapter 1: Prologue
Classes are over, and Ella is on her way home when it rained. She forgot her umbrella, so she ran to the big tree for shelter. When she sheltered at the big tree, her hair and uniform are partially wet. Ella is standing behind the big tree and wait for the rain to stop.
"Why did I forget to bring my umbrella today,"
"Here. Wipe your hair with this"
Someone handed Ella a towel. When she looked at who it is, she immediately had a crush on him.
"He is handsome," Ella thought.
Ella stared at the guy.
"Uh, are you going to get the towel?"
"Ah, haha, sorry. Thank you"
"You're welcome,"
Ella grab the towel and wiped it on her face, hair, and uniform. She looked at the guy again. She looked at his uniform, and they attended the same school.
"We attended the same school. My name is Ella Collins, 16 years old. And you?"
"My name is Aden Reed, and I'm 16 years old, from Section A,"
"Oh, you're smart. I'm from section B, so our classroom is just beside each other"
Ella and Aden talked, and they got closer immediately.
"Oh, the rain has stopped already. I got to go home because I have errands to do. See you at school," Aden said and ran away.
Ella looked at the towel and smiled.
The next day, Ella went to Aden's classroom to return the towel.
"Is Aden around?"
"Wait, I will call him. Aden. Someone is looking for you,"
Aden is inside the classroom when his classmate called him. He went to the door and saw Ella.
"Ella. What are you doing here?"
"Here. Thank you yesterday. By the way, I already washed it"
"Oh. Thank you"
"I got to go,"
"Ok"
When classes are over, and Ella is going home, she saw Aden playing with some kids. She went with them.
"Can I join the game?"
"Sure. Tag you're it"
All of them played tag.
When Ella is running, she didn't see that Aden is in front of her, so the two of them bumped into each other and fell to the ground.
Ella is above Aden.
"Are you ok?"
"I'm ok,"
The two of them stared at each other for a minute.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Ella said.
Ella and Aden got away with the awkward position, and they continue to play tag. After a few minutes, the kids said their goodbyes, and Ella and Aden are the ones left.
"That was fun,"
"I agree. It's like your back to being a child again,"
"Yup"
"Are you going home?"
"Yes. I am on my way home when I saw you playing with the kids, so I tagged along,"
"Where do you live?"
"At the subdivision nearby,"
"I also live there. Let's walk together,"
"Ok"
The two of them walked together and talked.
"This is my home," Aden said.
"Oh. Mines at the next block,"
"Let me take you there,"
"No need, it's just at the next block,"
"Ok. See you at school then,"
"See you,"
The following days, Ella and Aden got so close. Ella also developed a liking for Aden.
One day, Aden told Ella to meet each other at the park at the subdivision on Saturday because he has something to tell Ella. The thing is, Aden likes Ella wanted to confess to her.
It's the end of class, and Aden is going to Ella's classroom when he saw Ella and a guy talking.
"Can I court you, Ella?"
When Aden heard it, he got jealous and sad, so he didn't go inside. Instead, he walked out and left.
Saturday came, and Ella went to the park and waited for Aden. Minutes became hours, and Aden didn't show up, so Ella went home.
Weeks had passed, and no sign of Aden. But one day, Ella found out that Aden transferred. She felt sad because the boy didn't even tell him that he is transferring. Ella wanted to confess to Aden that she likes him, but she didn't have the chance because Aden transferred. Ella also went to his home, but there's no one around. She asked the person who lived next door and the person said that the family living there moved out already.
Even though Ella felt sad and down, the memories of her and Aden remains in her mind because there are moments that you can never forget, and those moments are memorable and precious to her.
