Chapter 3: Chapter 3
4 days have past and MK has been sticking around Angel's temple catching up with the missing goddess or sleeping beauty and hearing about some of her old stories about the goddesses before her.
"So the powers you have are related to the others god and goddess's before you!" MK said shocked and full of surprise as his eyes glittered of excitement from the ancient stories Angel had told him while King took a trip somewhere for a while before coming back later that day.
"Well, I most have the goddess's powers that died 10,000 or was it 11,000 years ago?" Angle said to herself trying to remember what happened to theist goddess and when she died since it has been that long.
"I believe it way longer than 10,000 my dear" a voice said girl behind her as MK's expression changed from happy to confusion causing Angel to turn around seeing a familiar black fur coat and black purplish glow spikes staff as she kept her composure.
"What are you doing here?!" MK yelled standing up as Angel stayed on the floor looking at him hoping that it wasn't but it couldn't be him he was taken out by MK and monkey King before.
"You know for the damsel in destress, I wanted to catch up where we left off" macaque seemed to smile but also give off a bad vibe while acting all innocent in front of Angel making her unsure of what to do or even say in this situation. "Looks like sun isn't he to help you stop me like last time is he?" He said teasing MK in her temple as Angel grew low on options to chose from and fighting isn't going to be one or someone will end up being seriously hurt or dead.
"Just go away macaque, please" Angle said while standing up in front on the black monkey as he kept the smile on his face.
"Sorry sweetheart but I can't do that I have unfinished business before can I take you" he replied as he went for MK In her temple but she wasn't having it so so went in front stopping macaque from going any further causing him to growl angrily. "Why are you protecting the kid! You can't even use your powers to stop me!" he growled before using his hand to aggressively shove her out of the way causing her to drop into the floor.
"That's not a way a goddess should be treated!" MK yelled before he idiot his staff causing macaque to go through the roof of the temple bringing more light in while MK went after him.
"Kid!" Angel yelled seeing the poor kid go after someone as dangerous as macaque growing worried for the kid so she went after them but wasn't able to tap into the power she did 1,000 years ago.
"You will pay!" Macaque yelled sending the kid flying into some rocks at nearby mountains seeing his staff fall off the edge before noticing how far away she was while macaque was ready to kill the kid.
"Stop macaque!" She yelled as he looked at her with a evil grin before bringing up a familiar monkey looking shadow monster which seemed to trigger something inside of her causing her to use the power she has collected for 1,000 years bringing out her wings that glowed golden catching his attention turning towards her seeing how brightly she shined in the sunlight not noticing that she was ready to blast off and collide into him.
"What is supposed to be? A light show!" Macaque said mocking her as she grew impatient and zoomed at him as fast she could colliding hurt them both while a random jolt of light came out of nowhere hitting the two causing them to crash into different parts of the mountain while MK was left speechless not realising that monkey king saw everything and was about to intervene before Angel collided onto him.
Monkey king was able to bring back the staff to MK before quickly catching Angel who was about to falling from the mountain she crashed into. He wasn't happy about this or how badly hurt she was. he was guilty for leaving them without checking the surrounding area near the temple where macaque could've been hiding until he left this morning.
"Is she going to be okay? That looked like it hurt her a lot" MK said as they went into the temple while king held Angel in his arms who was currently unconscious and seriously damaged.
"Of course it hurt especially with all the power she used. She wasn't ready to use that much power yet her body wasn't able to withstand it during the collision with macaque" king said as it sounded like the every first time before MK first met macaque I'm the first place.
"I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect her" MK said feeling like most of this was his fault.
"It's not your fault kid, it was mine for not checking around the temple before I left. If I hadn't stopped when her wings came out I could've stopped this" king said as he began to patch up her wounds and scratches and try to tend to her bruises.
"All we have to do now is wait" MK said as king slowly and carefully climbed the statue as he was able to get to the bed that was held by the statues hands not wanting to knock anything before laying her gently down onto her bed that was directly covered by sunlight a perfect place to heal and keep warm.
"We'll keep check time to time making sure macaque does return. Plus to see if Angel would wake up" king said he looked at Angel before getting down of the statue ti MK as they left the temple in silence giving the goddess some time to heal.
Macaque was back at his island injured as bad as Angel was but awake he growled at how pissed off he was for letting her take him out like that I'm such short amount of time.
"You all will pay!" He growled even angry he was before being defeated by the kind and not by a girl. "Sun wukong just you wait I will take back even if it means liking you and that stupid kid!" He yelled before going back into the ancient relm he once held Angel's staff to bandage himself and rest before trying to make anymore reckless stunts again.
2 hours have past since macaque's defeat and king was still concerned for Angel who hasn't yet woken up from her injuries.
"Will she wake up?" MK asked as he and king stood in front of the statue looking up at Angel's bed seeing her tail that was hanging out not moving.
"Some day she will or..." he said before stopping himself before thinking for the worse but it has only been 2 hours. "You better not be dead Aurora!" He yelled as nothing was seen moving as they were still on the floor thinking that she's still unconscious.
"Is she dead?" MK said feeling a bit of panic fill up inside of him as king before to noticed that something seemed off about this so he made another check up and climbed up the statue again back onto her bed.
"I know you're awake Angel or should I say... Aurora" he said as he saw her open an eye before closing it again before finally seeing the game that she was playing. "Aha! So you are awake you cheeky little monkey!" King said with a smile as he stood above her as she opened her eyes looking up seeing him smiling at her.
"You've got me! Also um....I've been awake for 30 minutes if you're wondering when I woke up" she said still laid down as her tail twitched as it wrapped around his leg catching his attention.
"Aren't you too old for cuddles?" He said knowing her tail movement by heart as she grinned before giggling at him.
"No one is too old for those not even you! And I know you've wanted one from me ever since we ate dumplings a few days back" she said as he froze in surprise of how she was able to find out that quick.
"Fine only for 5 minutes" king said as he laid down beside her as he was the one to pull her into an warm embrace. "I haven't had a hug like this in years" he whispered as Angel hugged back not letting her tail go off his leg.
"So what should I do?" MK yelled still on the floor of the temple with his staff.
"Do whatever you normally do" king replied as MK was heard quickly leaving the temple as they hugged for old time sakes, but quickly realised that they were there for a quite awhile then they both fell asleep due to the sun's ray of light beaming down on them.
Angel was able to wake up first realising that the moonlight shining on her as she slowly sat up on her bed seeing sun still asleep before looking back at the full moon that went through the hole that only the sun and moonlight shine can go through.
"Wake up... or not" she said trying to wake king up by shaking him but it wouldn't work he was dead asleep so she placed her chin on his Stomach before feeling a hand on her head.
"You could've waken me up in a better way than shaking Aurora" king said as she faces him seeing his face looking tired before he realised how late it was. "Great, 5 minutes turned into hours" he said as she received her chin allowing king to sit up while Angel looked at the full moon that shined down at them.
"I always liked the moon especially when it's as full as this" Angel said as king sat beside her looked up at it before seeing that her white coat was glimmering a little bit.
"You're sparkling" he said as she looked at herself before looking at her arm seeing the glimmer he was on about. "But I've always liked being by your side especially being separated for over 1,000 years what a bummer" he said again as Angel got into her feet again before climbing onto the statue again but was actually able to go through the hole that allowed the sun and moon to go through.
"Are you coming or not?" She asked as he look dazzled before smiling accepting her invitation meeting her at the top roof of the temple seeing the full moon again and stary sky.
"You could've hurt your injuries doing stuff like that" king said scolding Angel a little bit but she knew the risks. "You can't fight injured like that" he said again a bit more worried as Angel the owner a little bit.
"But I'm not as amazing like you though, especially when you were able to have years to control your powers and be super strong as I just slept in my stupid temple" she said curling her knees up to her face as her arms and tail wrapped around her legs showing how insecure she was.
"Hey, that's a work in progress. We have a lot of time to help you control your powers but if you haven't noticed, you are extremely strong you just took out macaque he was quite a challenge for me and I needed The kids help to take him out" king said as he patted her back before placing his hand on her shoulder pulling her closer to him comforting her.
"I want to become stronger and have more control of my self like macaque does of his shadows" she said as the his name being mentioned was enough to turn king's mood around.
"Look! You are amazing, wonderful and very strong! Don't let someone like macaque Make you think any less about yourself! You are enough and I couldn't have asked for a better companion up these hills" king said grabbing her shoulders face her to him seeing how dull she was. She still felt guilty for the lose of her kind on the island failing to protect them or have any control of her powers at all.
"You don't understand how I feel inside" she replied as the night comfy atmosphere changed to hurt and anger.
"I may not know how you feel but I promise you we can help you" king said as the moonlight brightened above them as Angel fur began to glow while her eyes turned to golden as king watched her transformation with both worry and amazement. "Calm down you don't want to hurt anybody! You want to get control of your powers and help get back at those shadows that destroyed our home!" He yelled as the glow didn't go down it was still bright but if this continues she could use up all of her energy and collapse of exhaustion.
"I didn't want this, I never wanted this!" She exclaimed as golden electricity swirled around her body the more angrier she got.
"I'm sorry that you had to go through that alone but you have to put your past behind you and move on if not you'll never gain full control over your power! You'll have to embrace your new life!" king yelled as the glow dimmed a little bit but the electric didn't seem to disappear.
"I don't want to forget my mother or my brother!" Homage yelled back looking a king with her eyes that were now glowing completely white with electricity escaping from them.
"You don't have to but you have to put the last behind you and try make a future that is nothing like the horrible life you had back then! You have to keep moving forward focus on who you want to be as a goddess not what people expect you to be!" He yelled still trying to convince her as she was finally beginning to calm down as her glow dimmed down back to white the electricity slowly vanished and her eyes turned back to normal.
"Who I want to be?" She said still a bit uncertain of what to think but wasn't as bad as she was seconds ago.
"Yes, who you wanted to be. Make your own legend and become the greatest immortal goddess to ever exists!" King said with a smile seeing that he was actually getting through getting macaque's negativity out of her.
As the evil left Angel's body their was hardly enough energy for her to keep her Balance causing her body to collapse into the smooth but hard surface but king was quick enough to catch her to not bring her anymore wounds that could possible affect her mentally or physically.
"I am sorry i didn't know what came over me" Angel said exhausted as king carried her back into the temple laying her back down to rest under the moonlight to regain most of her strength before the sun rises again.
"Rest you need to regain your strength" he said before leaving her in the temple to not bring anymore tension to her as she already had. Monkey king was able to go back to his little home that was in front of the temple and rest til the sun rises once again.
The next day!
Angel was awake a bit earlier than king when she snuck out of the temple to see the island and the adorable little monkeys.
"Shhh, don't tell sun. I'm going to see what it's like in the city for a bit" Angel whispered to one of the monkeys as it looked at its friends before making shoot noises making her think that she's safe until she comes back sneaking into the temple later one without sun (monkey king) knowing.
Angel was going to head through the same way she entered to get to the temple and if she succeeds she could see the city without getting in trouble unless MK catches her in the act of escaping. She managed to get through the water fountain without waking sun up or being spotted by MK who normally comes round to see her.
"I could actually get away with this" she said to herself as she quickly went on all fours to get out of view from the path where some people walk on to see the views of the mountains. The city could take over an hour on foot unless you had a ride there cutting it short but a ride is what she hasn't got.
"Wait I have my wings... but that'll waste my power but the sun is still.... out for now" she said thinking If she should use her wings or not to travel the city and try the many things MK told her about. Arcades, restaurants and her favourite food dumplings. The though about the dumplings and wanted to get there making her decision final so she focused on her thoughts and was able to bring her wings out but without the glow making her less likely to be spotted by the humans who live in the city below while she hover there hoping to not bring any unwanted attention.
After 7 minutes of flying away from monkey kings home that was upon the huge mountain which many have to climb thousands of stairs before noticing the city emerging into view the closer she got to it.
As she got to the city she managed to Land on to one of the roofs as she removed her wings leaving her to climb down fork the building into the dark alley while people walked past ignoring the goddess that hid inside of it. She needed to find a way to hide herself from being noticed by anyone in the city so anything like a cloak and mask would do to hide her hair face and tail while walking among oft her creatures not knowing what their intentions are when they notice her.
Clothes hung above her giving a good amount of choices to choose from to hide her so climbing on the wall with her hand a feet using the window sils to get the limes that hung clothes while a long cloak was within her sights and close enough for her to reach so she grabbed and swung on it allowing her to get a better grip pulling it down off its pegs before getting back onto the ground the same way she has gotten up.
"I guess these will do for now" she said covering her entire body with the huge cloak that she has just stolen. It was either steal a cloak or getting found easier by macaque or any other evil forces that lurk the land and underground.
15 minutes later King was beginning to wake up as he stretched and yawned on his cloud waking up firm his nice little slumber rubbing his eyes seeing that nothing has been touched in his little hut as the cloud moved going towards the door he slightly left open last night allowing him to open the door with ease as he got off the cloud and towards the temple seeing that the door was slightly open bringing suspicion to the monkey god as he walked closer and closer to the doors of the temple before entering inside.
As he walked down the corridor silence was met with him as only little cracks of light shined through guiding him through the temple before pausing seeing that he wasn't in her bed.
"She must be on the island with the little monkeys" he said to himself as he quickly went up the statue and onto the roof seeing them playing but Angel wasn't there. "Hey, have you guys seen Angel anywhere? she isn't in the temple" he asked as the little monkeys looked at each other and then back at him as he grew suspicious by the way they were acting, sweating nervously not wanting to speak.
"Ooo ooo" one spoke telling a little something about Angel but not her proper where abouts not wanting to tell him everything since they made a promise.
"A promise? You promised not to tell me where she's going" king said crossing his arms seriously mad as the little monkeys couldn't break a promise.
"Oo o" the monkey said again as king looked shocked from the response he got from his monkey friend.
"She made the promise? Oh no" king said shocked before sighing disappointed a bit that she kinda ran away somewhere. "Can at least say where so I can see if she don't in trouble or causing any trouble?" He asked as the little monkeys huddled with one another discussing what to do Becker looking back at monkey king.
"Ooo oo ooo o" another little monkey said as king hummed at the response while they gave him little clues on where she would be not spilling anything.
"Big and over populated?..... the city! Thanks little buds go back to playing and eating bananas I'll be right back!" He said finally getting the clue they told him so he got his cloud and flew to the city in search to find Angel while she hid with her long cloak that covered her entire body and head.
"Dumplings..Where could you possibly be hiding?" Angel said to herself liking around while walking past the huge crowd of people hoping not to bump into anyone familiar.
She has been walking around the place for 10 minutes now and no Hope was found in search for the dumplings as her stomach growled due to hunger but Angel wasn't watching were she was going when she accidentally bumped into somebody knocking her back a bit before looking at them seeing macaque.
"Watch where you're going" he said before going past her like she was some other being causing her to sigh with relief before carrying on to walk but only came across a dark alley which was weird before getting a strange sensation that she was being followed so she looked around seeing no one so she quickly legged it down the alley not taking any chances while taking different turns before coming across a street that led to a strange noodle place as a pig was seen yelling at a kid that seemed to look like MK so she quickly went over there seeing what the problem is.
"Excuse me?" She asked as the log turned around to face her seeing her cloak before panicking in though if being robbed.
"Get away you thief!" He yelled pointing at her as MK grew familiar to the voice so he got closer to her pulling the cloak of her head and sighed glad that it was her before gasping of shock before looking around dragging her inside while the log went after him.
"I can explain! But we need to keep her inside until I am able to find money king" MK said as the other of his friends grew confused as he took the cloak off her revealing her temple wear shocking them all.
"Is that Angel? What is she doing here!?" The nerdy one yelled knowing the many consequences of a goddess being on the loose especially without being protected.
"I wanted to get some dumplings" she replied a bit shyly and innocent as he tummy growled.
"Only this once and once only but I'll give you some dumplings on the house!" The pig said as he sat her down on the front table before he started to make some fresh dumplings.
"Make sure that macaque does see her" MK as she quickly left to go find money king knowing that he'll be floating around somewhere nearby.
Mk was able to run countless miles exhausted and out of breath beside noticing money king on his cloud looking above the city for someone.... Angel.
"Monkey kings!" He yelled quickly catching standbys attention before money king was able to come down to MK noticing that King was panicking.
"Angel, do you know where Angel is? Tell me!" He said grabbing the kids shoulders before floating a bit back from him before he coughed to go back to his normal state but MK could tell that king was still worried about Angel.
"She's at my work place at the noodle restaurant eating dumplings" MK said as king sighed relieved that she was somewhere safe but that quickly changed as something exploded seeing from a distance a huge shadow monkey monster demon emerged showing that macaque was present. "No!" MK yelled knowing that his friends are in danger as kin grabbed his wrist before taking off in his cloud near the monster.
"That bastard better not laid a finger on Angel or ill—- sorry I'm very overprotective about beings that belong to me" king said as a little bit of tint appeared onto his cheeks embarrassed rubbing the back of his next.
"I get it you like your long lost friend, but we need to get rid of macaque again before he hurts anymore people" MK said sounding like an actual hero for once as king was snake to get off his cloud allowing it to go away as he and MK got ready to get the shadow demon and save MK's friends.
Angel was seen tripping over nearby caching king's attention as she tried to get up but she couldn't her leg seemed to be hurt causing her to limp.
"Angel!" He yelled seeing her badly injured and limping as he rushed towards her.
"Don't!.... it's a trap!" She yelled stopping king as macaque emerged from the shadows beside her with a menacing smile chuckling.
"You better listen to her if you know what's good for you" he threatened as he foresees under her chin as she moved her face away not wanting him to touch her as he 'tch' not happy. "If you had given her up this wouldn't have happened Sun.... and yet here she is trying to fit in like she once did centuries ago before my demons accidentally ended all of that" he said again removing his smile but it wasn't long as it came back on to his face again.
"Leave her alone macaque!" King yelled as MK quickly went to help his Friends while king kept macaque busy as he held Angel's arm tightly causing her to flinch.
"Aww, are you still injured when you collided into me" he said in a teasing voice before getting closer to her face as his face grew inches away from hers making king watch from a distance.
"Get your disgusting face away from her!" King yelled as a very began to boil inside of him uncertain of how long he'll be able to hold his anger in for much longer.
"Oh,and what are you going to do about it?" Macaque said as he laughed as he kissed Angel forcing his lips onto hers as she squirmed but failed he was too strong.
Angels PoV:
Macaque had the stronger grip in this situation as my eyes were open seeing that his horrible scene wasn't a nightmare it was real and I wanted it to stop. I closed my eyes tightly scared wanting Sun to help me.
"You're gonna pay!" Sun was heard yelled as macaque's lips separated from mine losing his grip on my arm too as I opened my eyes seeing sun tackle himself in macaque with the most pissed off expression ever. "Have your parents ever taught you how to treat a lady!" He yelled as they both took the fighting into the sky to prevent any damage to the city and its people. I could feel my legs give out as I fell onto my bottom in pain from the explosion the shadow demon macaque used to try and hurt MK's friends but failed. I had to use myself to Save them or they'll be dead because of me coming to this city for some stupid dumplings.
"Angel!" MK yelled rushing towards me seeing my injured state as I sat on the cold concrete floor unsure of how long I could keep myself awake for especially with the endless sounds of macaque and king colliding with in another.
"I'm sorry MK" I apologised knowing that it was my fault that this happened today and nothing could ever can he my mind on it. Mother will be so disappointed in me if she found out what I have done when she's away.
As I spoke the pain grew even more painful which eventually was unbearable for me to take causing me to blackout not seeing is sun was going to be okay or not.
No ones PoV:
King was able to win against macaque just nearly as the last time they fought was when he took MK's powers making him more stronger than before but he made it coming out injured but healable.
"Next time I see you near my Angel again I will make sure you are stuck sealed under a mountain unable to touch her ever again!" He threatened him before making his way back to MK seeing Angel is his arms injured and unconscious not a good sign.
"I'm sorry but please take it easy on her she's already feeling guilty for what happened with macaque" MK said as he handed Angel to king allowing him to get back into his cloud to take her back to the mountains.
"First before I go could I place an order?" King asked before telling MK what he wanted And left to go back home, definitely to have a chat with Angel when she wakes up and to order her daily dumplings to keep her from escaping to the city and getting taken my macaque or anyone else who try to take her again.
