Chapter 14: Skypiea
The one-piece world was huge, from Sora's memory there were a lot of details and foreshadowing for how the one-piece anime would end. Living in this world and although I didn't travel much, I had a good understanding of how things would go.
This is the main reason why although I was powerful, a life-and-death battle would best help me improve my power. I didn't attack the world government as even if I won, I would lose in the end as the world would be greatly shaken.
So, it was best to wait for Joy Boy aka Luffy. After all, my enemy isn't the world nobles, it's the Marines. So, I didn't mind taking down the Marines while Luffy took on the world government... what if I have the Marines join my side? Well, now that I think of it, it doesn't sound so bad.
Skypiea in general is located on a gigantic mass of fossilized clouds known as an Imperial Cumulus. This cloud seems to wander around the skies near Jaya and happens to be so dense that it manages to blot out sunlight almost completely, instantly darkening the portion of the Blue Sea where it floats by and giving the impression that nightfall has instantly arrived.
Skypiea is composed of numerous areas, such as The Heaven's Gate. At the moment, I was on a ship and was sitting back with my eyes closed. Meanwhile, Reiju along with the many crew members of the sun pirates were looking around, stunned at the world in the clouds. while we looked at Heaven's Gate ahead.
"reading it and seeing it yourself is completely different," Yamato screamed while jumping on an oddly bouncy cloud. she wasn't alone as pretty much everyone became a kid, jumping on the thing.
"Are you not going to join them? it seems fun." Reiju said with a smile, to which I looked at her with a blank look. She just shrugged before reaching down and picking up clouds to play with.
"if you fall again, i'm not coming after you," I said calmly, Yamato froze slightly at my words along with everyone else. When we arrived here, she had thought these were clouds she could swim in, so she jumped in... well, she quickly realized she could sink, and yes, she was a devil fruit user now.
They all came back, as I was the only one who could fly. So, we moved on through Heaven Gate before our eyes landed on someone, an old woman who was walking out with what looked to be a camera. She took pictures of everyone, before going on to speak, introducing herself.
She was Amazon, the gatekeeper that resides down here with her Vision Dial-powered camera, collects entrance immigration fees, and immigration for those who are leaving. pay 1,000,000,000 Extol per person to enter.
"..." The ship went quiet as everyone looked at each other for some time before a few of the man burst out laughing while some pulled out a few of their swords, ready for battle.
"Listen old hag, we are pirates. Do you think you can rob us? we do the roby here." A man with a scar running across his face said with a cruel smile while looking at the old woman, who just shrugged.
"Wait, how much is 1 billion extols in Belly?" Yamato not wanting someone who was just doing their job to get hurt, stepped forward.
"10,000 to 1. In other words, 10 trillion Belly if you wish to enter." the old woman said calmly, making everyone on the ship's face twist at those words.
"What if we don't have the money?" Yamato said a vein appearing on her forehead
"Then you may still pass." The woman said calmly, leaving everyone speechless. they looked at her, thinking it might be a joke.
"The choice is yours, I will not stop you. my job is to come here to ask for your reason to be here, not guard the gate." She said to which everyone looked at each other weirdly, but they didn't think too deeply about it and quickly had her point them toward Sky Island.
this caused a huge shrimp to appear under the ship, grabbing the edges of the ship, before taking us toward Sky Island. The shrimp took us up the waterfall at extreme speed, forcing everyone to have to hold on or else they would be blown away... all but me who was laying back in the seat, while Yamato held on to the chair leg for her life.
While everyone was busy screaming their lungs out, my sharp hearing was busy listening in to the old woman who was speaking to some god about heaven's judgment. This caused my eyes to turn cold, which led to my conqueror haki leaking out, but it was for a split second before I regained my calm. but enough for the chair, I sat on to almost shatter.
Sky Island was far away, it took some time for us to arrive. but when we did and burst out through a layer of clouds, we all saw the island in the cloud, which was Angel Island. Angel Island was Skypiea's main residential district, composed entirely of island clouds. Bisected by the famous Lovely Street, it contained a wharf, houses, and many shops, and was usually patrolled by the White Berets.
"Yamato, go to the upper yard. defeat the so-called god of this place and bring him to me." I said calmly, causing a vein to pop off Yamato's forehead.
"I'm not a member of your crew, so stop trying to order me around," Yamato said with a snort,
"I'm pretty sure the deal for you coming here was for you to follow all of my orders right? With that attitude, no wonder you remain single all your life." I said calmly, causing Yamato to nearly explode in rage.
"I remain single because I have more important stuff to deal with like freeing Wano." She said
"THats what all of the single people say," I said lightly, causing Yamato's face to transform in all types of colors, before in the end she went to the side of the ship, where she led a few elites off to go find this so-called god.
"Why must you mock her when you know she wants to be with you?" Reiju asked softly, Yamato had become her friend, so Yamato was pretty much the only friend she had. So, she was not happy seeing her friend be picked on like this. That was even more so when she knew Yamato and I slept with each other, yet Yamato didn't hold any ill will towards her.
Someone Like Linlin wanted to kill Ruiju, along with the many children she had as they couldn't stand Ruiju having me all to herself.
"This is my way of pushing her away. I have no interest in her having false dreams about us." I said calmly,
"so you have to be a jerk? there are other ways to go about this, and I know your mouth has no filter... but still, she is my friend." Ruiju said to which I sigh
"You sound like you want me to have a harem," I said to which Ruiju hesitated slightly before looking towards Yamato for a moment.
"If it's her, then yes." She said leaving me sighing, I thought for a moment before sighing once more about all of this.
"let's just enjoy this time, we can talk about that later," I said to which Ruiju nodded lightly. At that, I gave my orders to everyone to behave as we were not here to cause trouble as this would be my land in the future, So, we went to Sky Island, and we and Reiju went out to explore as this was pretty much a date for us...
"That stupid, annoying jerk." Landing on the island, which wasn't made out of clouds but dirt, Yamato headed off while mumbling to herself, while everyone else remained quiet as they didn't want to get a taste of her rage.
"Split up, we will meet in the center of the island. avoid killing if you can." Yamato said while looking at everyone behind her. these were all elites, they all had the 2 basic Hakis, as they would not be known as elites if they didn't
A total of 12 of them, each of them being former captains of their crew and had a bounty of 500 million before they joined the sun pirates.
They all went their way, while Yamato went straight ahead toward the center of the island. This island was known as the Upper Yard, This is the other half of Jaya, blasted up by Knock Up Stream 400 years ago. It is much larger than Angel Island. Jaya Island is an island below Sky Island.
As a great amount of Vearth highly valued this island, it went on to be titled, the "holy land". Vearth was the name given to those who lived on Sky Island. Of course, a war broke out between those who were brought onto this island by the knock-up stream and the Vearth who wanted the island for themselves.
It had become the residence for rulers of Skypiea. The trees and animals on Upper Yard have grown to huge sizes, due to the decrease in the atmosphere. At the moment, the ruler of Sky Island called himself god and was of course the person who ate the Rumble-Rumble fruit
His name was Enel, and indeed he was pretty much a god. Thanks to the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, Enel was pretty much all-knowing. With the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, Enel can pick up electromagnetic waves from the air, allowing him to overhear conversations and everything around him with extraordinary range. this has extended the range of his Observation Haki to cover roughly all of Skypiea
Yes, I can spread my Observation Haki for miles, but to get the same level of quality as Enel was something else. Enel senses, plus the power of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit gave him the power of a god.
Skypiea was huge, over 200 miles. to have your senses this sharp at such a huge range, and pretty much on at all times was scary... it was wasted on Enel, and I wanted it. Plus, it would be stronger in my hands.
At the moment, Enel lay lazily on a bed, while he was observing the newcomers to his land. As he watched, his eyes couldn't help but narrow as one of them managed to cut himself off from his senses, making him frown deeply.
there were now 13 ants running on his holy land, but he had ignored them to worry about the person he couldn't sense. but in the end, he realized no matter how much he focused on the spot the person should be, he couldn't sense him, and the thing around him.
'Who are these people.' Enel thought while looking towards where Yamato was, her speed while she ran through the forest was quick, even in his lightning form, he might have a hard time outrunning her.
Raising his hand to the sky, lightning shot up, and moments later, above Yamato and the 12 others who were running around, a lightning beam fell from the heavens, as if god was trying to punish sinners. everyone stopped instantly, and looked towards the sky in shock at this... but it was too weak.
Channeling their Haki, they clashed with the incoming lightning beam, some were injured, but none were left unable to fight, which caused Enel's eyes to almost pop out. he didn't know what Armament Haki was, so of course he was shocked.
Yamato who wasn't injured from the attack looked around for some time, wondering if the enemy knew if they were there. but no matter how she spread her observation Haki around, she couldn't find the person. that was until she sensed something coming towards her at the speed of lightning. She looked up, and there stood Enel on a tree branch.
"Just who are you? How were you able to nullify my power?" Enel asked. armament Haki did have the power to nullify the power of devil fruit users.
"Are you the god of this place?" Yamato asked while pointing her kanabo at Enel,
"That God Enel to you," Enel said arrogantly, Yamato didn't waste any more time and shot toward Enel who just looked at her attack near him with an indifferent look. Why should he dodge or even block? He was untouchable.
But that was a huge mistake as it went on to slam hard into his face, sending him shooting backward while shooting through countless trees, and leaving him knocked out.
"You seem to not know what Armament Haki is," Yamato said with a shake of her head. She guessed as much, so she attacked quickly to make things easier for herself. Someone who could move around at the speed of lightning although not super fast in the new world, was still troublesome to deal with.
She was sure she could still win, she could clash with Kaido and get back up each time. She could keep up with those fighting at the speed of light, much less lightning which was far slower compared to light.
She sighed as she picked up Enel, and went to search for the rest of the crew members who had gone their own way... which proved to be far harder than defeating Enel.
"That was fast..." I said lightly while walking down the streets. with my super hearing, plus Observation Haki, I was able to hear Yamato and Enel's short clash. but it was understandable, Enel would have a bounty of around 500 million if he was on the sea, and Yamato would have a bounty of around a billion. Adding Enel thought he was untouchable, she was sure to win if she played it smart...
It took a day for Yamato to return, and once she did, I took Enel... When coming here, I was wondering if I should kill Enel or not. But the fact this guy thought he was above me, and how he was watching me... well, that annoyed me
I went on to kill Enel while standing in a garden I had brought within the ship. Devil Fruits exist in a cycle of reincarnation; when a Devil Fruit user dies, its ability is reborn into a new Devil Fruit in a random part of the world, and the one who eats it will become the new user. Instead of growing from a plant, the ability simply regenerates inside another similar fruit, which then transforms into the Devil Fruit in question. When this happens, the empowered fruit changes its appearance. Some characteristics of a fruit's transformation into a Devil Fruit include distinct spiral patterns, a curly stem, and a color change.
There was a way to control where the Devil Fruits would appear. Sea prism stones can be used to form a cage that seals off the room from the outside world. this would mean that once the devil fruit user dies within the cage, and there happens to be a fruit nearby, it would increase the chances for the devil fruit taking over the fruit within said cage.
This is something I found out when trying to find a way to control how to get the devil fruits from someone I killed. Although the amount of Sea Prism stones needed made sure that only those from Wano could do this, devil fruits were not even that well known in Wano.
It wasn't 100%, some fruits didn't suit the devil fruit, so I needed to collect all types of fruits to be safe. it didn't take long, but soon after Enel died, I saw a pineapple slowly transforming. I watched as the pineapple finished its transformation before I picked it up and went on to take a small bite. Instantly, I almost threw up from how disgusting the fruit was, but my attention was quickly caught as my cells began shaking with the power of lightning, before slowly the electricity began to cover my body.
I looked at my palm where the power of lightning gathered, the lightning was blue. I couldn't help but wonder if I could fuse this with my solar power... but then again, I didn't care as I picked this fruit for the boost to my senses.
I went on to touch the sea prism stone, and instantly I felt myself grow weak. My eyes narrowed, as I didn't like this. yes, with some training I could learn to keep fighting even with sea Prism stones touching me, but this feeling of weakness was something I didn't like. I closed my eyes, trying to see if I could use Solar energy to cover this weakness. it took some time, but soon I felt my will come across the will of something within my body.
'The will of the devil fruit... but it's not a zone-type devil fruit, so its will is far weaker.' In my mind, I looked at a blue lightning will, which looked half dead. but when I let go of the sea prism stone, it seemed like it came back to life, just for it to return to its half-dead state when I touched the sea prism stone
'It seems to almost be lightning itself... if what I'm thinking is true, then if I fully devour this will, then I could overcome the weakness to water and sea prism stone.' I thought while my eyes glowed at the possibilities.
my conqueror Haki slammed on the will of the devil fruit, while I walked over to it, and grabbed its neck.
"Sorry little guy, but I have no interest in sharing a body," I said calmly, I never watched One Piece far enough to know the truth about the Devil fruits, if I did, then I wouldn't have eaten one as I don't want to have the will of something inside me.
Even if I lose the devil fruit, this will have to disappear. So, I destroyed it. I knew it would have not been so easy to destroy this will if I wasn't touching the Sea Prism stone, but with the will of the devil fruit gone, I opened my eyes as I felt the Sea Prism stone no longer weakening me.
"Well... this makes me wonder about the truth of this world and what Imu is up to," I said softly, as I felt how I had not lost the power of the rumble fruit... instead that power has grown stronger and become mine.
I couldn't help but wonder if some races out there gained unique powers thanks to someone who did something similar with their devil fruits... well, that wasn't important for now. I had to have everyone know a new god had taken over this world, and some other stuff. Shiki would also have his floating islands up here, this way I didn't have to worry about them falling if he ever died.
'This is why Kaido can't awaken his devil fruit, the guy's will and his devil fruit's will don't match each other. so he could never tap into the true power of the Azure Dragon,' I thought in realization while leaving the cage. Well, I should go have Kaido awaken his devil fruit, as well as Big Mom, and Shiki.
