Chapter 2: Chapter 0: The Start of it All
We ran around enjoying the cold, wet rain on a summer evening. The pitter-patter of the later afternoon, wind-driven rain set on us. We were just kids playing in the rain, not giving a care in the world about anything in the world.
As the rain poured out, cheers got louder, and louder, until we were in a mess of noise.
We splashed each other with the water from puddles forming around us, and we were laughing like crazy, hiding around bushes, trees, fire hydrants too, we tried to desperately avoid getting wet, and obviously failing miserably.
"You gotta do better than that to catch me," A loud laugh was heard as we followed the older, brown-haired male around while waving our arms about desperately trying to grab onto his shirt to get our towels back.
"Get back here!" The youngest laughed running with all of his might to catch the other.
"Save me!" He screamed out once he was tackled by the others.
Our parents are laughing from the front porch, just smiling, forgetting the problems they once had.
"Nikki, come on!" The others called me.
"Catch me if you can!" I yelled out, giggling furiously.
I smiled and soon joined in the happiness lingering onto my skin, onto my heart.

Before the drama.
Before love.
Before puberty.

The air was cold and toxic, our reality was slowly appearing right in front of us and changed our lives.
"I'm going to get expelled for this, for this rumor! What did I ever do to you?" Her quietness echoed throughout the whole platform, as the sun was setting, matching the mood.
"Expelled?" My words were lost within the scenario, everyone focused on the scene in front of us.
All we could do was watch in silence as the most unlikely pair broke out into a hysterical fight. She brushed him off harshly and turned around angrily. He tried to hug her back again, but she swiftly pushed him back making him fall into the floors.
"Renjun!" Jaemin and Jeno rushed to his side, and tried to help him up.
Nikki stood over him, and glared so ferociously at the broken boy, while Hyuck held her back slightly.
"What the hell Nikki?" Chenle yelled as he got up in her face, angry that she pushed his best friend, and brother figure.
"Do you know what that asshole did?" She gritted her teeth once again.
"Whatever it could have been, does it really require you to push him?!" He yelled back.
