Chapter 27: The past- How it all started
Four figures could be seen in the Cole's sitting room ,immersed in the story the eldest woman among them was sharing.
Flashback,
Twenty-three years ago
"I Sabrina walker take you Christian Cole to wed as my husband,to have and to hold from this day forward for better ,for richer ,in health,to love and to honour as long as we both shall live, according to God's ordinance,I pledge you my truth"
"I hereby pronounce you both husband and wife,now you can kiss your Bride"The pastor concluded.
After the wedding thing went smoothly for the Cole's they lived fine, continuing their Good deeds in the community and country were they lived in,Mr Cole was raised and born from a golden spoon household,like wise Mrs Cole.
They both had businesses and enjoyed the happiness their job gave them, little did they know that a lot of relatives were eyeing their properties,and we're jealous of their lovely and free lifestyle.
It's been three years since the Cole's got married,still Mrs Cole had not conceived,which brought concern to her and her husband even though he never bothered her about it.The relatives who pretended to love her had begun to show their true colours,but the Cole's nevertheless were not bothered and we're not cautious of the people around them,they were the down to earth kind to people,so they were not suspicious of the scheme going on behind them.
Mrs Cole however was bothered and had gone to the church where they fellowshipped most times.
Mrs Cole had prayed to the heavens that very day,and the heavens replied her as there was rumbling in the sky,as a thunder struck in the sky without rain,Mrs Cole was scared of the thunder and she had fainted in the church,
Fortunately there were people present on the church at the time she fainted, unknowingly to her an angel had been sent in human form,as a reply to her prayer and was currently laying in her womb,
It wasn't until later before Mrs Cole woke up in the hospital with her husband beaming happily beside her bed, curiously she asked and found out she was pregnant,she knew something strange was happening with her,she had dreamt of being before a kind of throne but was pulled out by an unidentified force, that connected her to the earth.
Days,passed Mrs Cole stayed indoor ,she vowed to protect the baby in her womb,her maids got whatever she needed from the market for her, doctors attended to her in her home, including her sport master,so her baby grows gracefully.
Two month passed and the news had veen spread ,of the couple's expecting,The whole people in Cole's street,(The street has been named after the Cole's who were loved by all), where happy that their benefactor had finally been blessed,prayers were made to all the God's the people knew, except for Mr Coles uncle who had always coveted his nephews successful life.
He was angry at the fact that the coles would finally have an heir to inherit the property he so much wanted for himself,which he didn't want,ever since Mrs Cole's barreness had been known,he has only thought of killing the Cole's then he would be the only relative left to aquire all the properties for himself.
"Mrs Cole was in the house,taking session with her gynecologist,she suddenly felt a strong arm attack her, before she could fight back,the gynecologist was already lying in the floor rolling in pain,before she could react a drugged handkerchief had been brought to her nose that sent her unconscious rendering her helpless that was all she remembered before,she found herself in a forest with her husband,where they began a journey they weren't sure they were ready,prepared for,it was scary still they moved on and all this was done all because of the baby in Mrs Cole's womb.
Then something strange happened one day,she had gone out to urinate and had gotten bitten by a strange wolf,the pain,fire that burned right onto her body was unbearable,in tears she had screamed and collapsed,luckily her husband had knowledge, he had aquired from his ancestors on herbs.
After she was okay and her baby's growth in her convinced her that her baby was not ordinary,she vowed in her mind to protect her child and give it all she had,if they ever survived this ordeal.
The Cole's living room,
"so mum you and dad went through all this but you never told me any of this before"Jasmine who had burst in tears listening to her parents ordeal,broke out the more.
Jasper seeing her reaction immediately wrapped her in his warm embrace as he placed her chest in his, consoling her.
"we could not tell you because it wasn't time and u never wanted you to grow up thinking of revenge"Mrs Cole who was fighting back her years as her husband rubbed her back slowly in a loving manner.
"so where is that uncle now"Jasmine said angrily.
"Jass that's not important now what is important is,I think there's something strange about you , even if I can not say what it is but I'm sure you were born for great exploit,and yes I got my palm read when I got to this city,it was assuring,honey it gave me hope to move on and acknowledge the joy in my womb I'm not privileged to tell you,but I'll tell you just a thing the fortune teller told me was,your soul mate would come and a sign would appear when that time comes and I see the signs now"
Mrs Cole told her daughter, she was sure her daughter's meeting with the prince the same time the king's man who had offered to marry her death happened wasn't coincidental,and the way things moved drastically between both the Royales and the Cole's was out of her hands,she felt her daughter needed to know what was happening,she was not aware Jasmine knew more Already but her words had given her a Glimpse if what she could be or probably was.
"what of father's Uncle"Jasmine asked again like all what are mum had said earlier wasn't what she wanted to listen to.
"Your father's company was inherited by him, our home got burnt,we managed to escape with some vital documents we could have used against him,but your father and I was scared of his uncle because,we didn't want him to figure out your existence,what if he finds out we survived in the forest he had asked one of his men to throw us in and you are alive as well,"Mrs Cole said.
"and trust me you are the treasure we don't deserve,you are our main reason of living,I'm sure if you weren't there in my Tommy,we would be dead now, cause I would have had no reason of living"Mrs Cole continued again.
"Jasper,please take care of out daughter,I swear I will hurt you if a strand of her hair falls"Mr Cole added threatening Jasper, showing a father's possessiveness.
"Mr Cole I promise you no harm will come to Jasmine,if u may ask do you know the where about of this uncle,the name of your company,what you are into before everything happened,and can I have the documents you spoke of?"Jasper assured his in laws also asking Mr Cole of everything as his mind struck a thing..
Jasmine after calming down,turned her head relaxing it on Jasper's chest,she didn't know her behaviours was causing Jasper possessive of her the more,he was the only one without emotions in the room.
Mr Cole told Jasper of all he asked,then went to his room to retrieve the documents as well as he handed everything to Jasper,he trusted the youngest wealthiest business tycoon,so he never bothered to question him,after all they officially will be families soon he wished for his daughter happiness and every Good thing.
The documents,Jasper has received from Mr Cole looked new like it hadn't been touched for years he touched it and felt the elements around it and nodded his head approvingly,Me Cole had kept the documents before his uncle could think of retrieving it,he had been suspecting a lot of things around him,but he had never suspected his uncle who was so close to them.
He had kept the documents in a bank he trusted and knew no hands could reach for it except his and his wifes,he had only retrieved them days ago when his wife told him of the sign she felt in the air,even though he want aware of the supernatural things happening around him he trusted his wife's judgement,the one who stood by him both in the good and the tough time and never complained.He wished everyday to be able to gift his wife a better life,she deserves to be treated as a Queen since she was one at heart, all round.
"Thanks for trusting me with this ,I won't disappoint you"Jasper assured his wife's parents.
Mr Cole lightly nodded his head at Jasper.
"mom, dad,I and Jasmine would be on our way now,Thanks for sharing this with me,I promise not to disappoint you"standing up with Jasmine in his arms he repeated his promise to the Cole's again.
