Chapter 3: Surprise
Once I got home I fished for my keys and went inside. I could hear my roommate playing his game and went in to greet him.
"Hey Ky." I mouthed and waved before leaving the room.
He waved and smiled back. He had the whitest teeth I swear I've ever seen.
Kyle was my best friend. I don't know why, but as soon as we met it was like we were destined to be best friends. We went to college together for 2 years and decided to move in with each other and out of our parents' house.
I head to my room and pick out my pj's ready to shower.

I finally get in my bed and don't want to move. I get snug in my covers and get comfy. I start to drift when I could feel that rush of emotions again. I sat straight up and looked around my room. Nope, no Jason here. Then why could I feel him?
Wait - how in the world can I feel someone near me?!? Oh man I must be exhausted. I need to sleep.
I turn off my tv and turn my fan up one speed. I climb into bed and make sure my phone is plugged in. I open my phone and I have 3 new messages.
That's odd, it's after 1am, who would text me this late?
I look and see Mark texted me to see if I was home safe.
I see a text from my roommate asking when I'd be home. I must have forgotten to open his message. Whoops.
Then- I see a strange number on my phone.
I click on the message thread and it says,
"I cannot stop thinking about you. I hope to see you soon. Goodnight beautiful."
No way. No - friggen - way. How. In the WORLD. Did he get my number?!?
"Who is this??" I send eagerly. Having a feeling... I know who it is.
"You know who. Now get some sleep Princess; you have a long day tomorrow."
I have a long day tomorrow? What? I have work and visiting my mother in the morning for brunch. But there's no way he would know that.
I put my phone down and check the time once more, it's 1:25am. Good grief.
I close my eyes and I could feel my body was still tense but I fell asleep thinking of the mystery man.
Oh what a mistake that was.
I was dreaming of him. We were in the field and he was standing in front of me sweating with this horrid look on his face.
"What's wrong Jason??" I said worried.
"Please princess. I need you. My insides need you. My heart and soul ache for you. You were made for me. Let me care for you. Please. Just come with me. I don't want you in danger, and I fear if you stay... they will come for you."
"What? Come for me? Who? Why? And where do you want me to go with you?! I don't know you!"
I started to pant heavily and realized I was in the field across from my house. As I turned around to see my house, I could see 3 men at my front door knocking.
I choked as I saw they busted my door down. I could hear the lead of men say, "find her! And bring her to me. Alive."
I stumbled backwards and Jason caught me.
"W-who are those m-men? And why are they after me?" I said with tears in my eyes confused and ready to run.
"The Guards. They will not stop until they have completed their mission. Their mission is to kidnap you and use you as leverage." Jason said swiftly as he kept an eye on my house and how they were trashing my home.
Suddenly, I was woken up to a loud crash.
I jerked up right and didn't move.
Was it Kyle? I decided to grab my phone and saw the time, "4:56am". There's no way it was him, he would be sleeping.
I text him, "Kyle? Was that you that made the loud crash?"
I waited about 2 minutes, No response. He must be asleep.
I get out of my bed as quietly as possible and grab the bat behind my door.
I could hear men whispering in the living room, then another crash. I go to open my door when suddenly I could feel someone put their hand over my mouth and shut the door slowly.
I instantly feel my hairs stand up and grip the bat tighter.
"Shhhh. Don't scream, it's me. We need to get out of here, NOW." I knew that voice and I felt those rush of emotions again. But this time the main emotion was worry. I slowly let go of the bat and turned around. How the hell did Jason get in my room?
"What are you doing in here?!" I whispered with an upset tone.
"I will answer your questions later, right now if I don't get you out of here you will be in a situation you don't want to be in. Trust me on that."
"WHERE IS SHE?! WHERE IS THE HALF BLOOD PRINCESS KYLE!?" I heard a man yell.
I stopped dead where I was. Half blood princess?
Kyle knows these men? It's in the middle of the night? Something is not right and my gut is telling me to leave. NOW.
By this time Jason was at the window of my bedroom and waiting for me to join him. I slip on a pair of my comfy pants and grab a sweatshirt.
I start to head over to the window when I hear more crashing from the living room. I turn and Jason grabs my hand, "Kyle will be fine. I trained him he will meet us after."
I couldn't move an inch.
"You KNOW my roommate?! You KNOW KYLE?!"
I whispered, this time I was half out my window and As I looked at him, I heard my door fly open and hit my wall. Okay what in the world is going on here!? I must still be dreaming. There is no way this is actually happening to me. Not in real life.
Before I could do anything, Jason grabbed my hand and we were out the window and in the grass. We ran across the field half tucked so we wouldn't stick out, completely. We reached the forest opening and I paused.
"Jason, where are you taking me?...a-and who w-were those men?"
"We need to go. NOW. Before they realize where we're headed. I will explain everything once you are safe. Please."
I see the worry in his eyes and take a step towards him when I hear behind me,
"There she is! Men, GET HER."
I felt Jason grab my hand and we took off into the forest.
