Chapter 2: Winter of Disappointment

The next morning Mrs. Webber woke up to find that a huge snow storm had passed their street. She went out to the balcony and saw that the streets were covered with 5 inches of snow. She thought it was gonna be a rough Christmas. But the thought of Mr. Webber coming back that day calmed her. She went downstairs and made coffee and came upstairs . 10 mins later. Joe and Marley woke up their mom had promised that their dad would come last night and then they would put the Christmas tree up together that day. Joe and Marley raced down the stairs and went to Mrs. Webber. "Where is daddy" asked Marley. "Did he come back" asked Joe. " No darlings he will come today" said Mrs. Webber. "But you promised" said Marley. "Yes but daddy has some work to do" said Mrs. Webber. "Fine" said Marley. "Lets go and eat breakfast" said Joe. They ran to the kitchen to get a bowl and a box of cereals and some milk. After breakfast they went upstairs and as they did not have anything to do they wanted to watch TV. They turned on the TV but the TV wont turn on they asked their mom. "There was a huge snow storm so maybe the cable got cut off". said Mrs. Webber.
