Chapter 19: Unknown familiar voice

Legend has it that Banshee is a woman who mourns for people who are dead or about to die. Some have described her as beautiful, and some as very tall and scary. Some legends say that Banshee only laments certain people from certain families. There is a lot of storytelling and rumors about Banshee.

But I do not believe in myths. I accept and believe what I see. I first saw Banshee next to the corpse of a local alone witch.

She was killed by Hans when I reached that witch. Hans wanted to learn black magic from her, and the wizard refused Hans's request. Hans had swallowed all her power and then killed her. Hans is from the GerryMenders family. Like a salamander, he can capture the characteristics of everything and everyone. For example, Hans can quickly become like a mathematician by touching or even looking at a mathematician. He also can absorb supernatural powers.

The sorcerer whom Hans had killed knew the secrets of black magic, but she was powerful enough to hide them from Hans's power, and in the end, Hans destroyed her.

When I reached that local witch, I saw a beautiful woman in a white robe and a red shirt over her head. The woman was crying loudly on the witch's bed and was moaning bitterly. I approached her and tried to read her mind, but she suddenly changed her face. Her teeth and nails rose terribly, and blood flowed from her eyes instead of tears. She attacked me. I did not have the power to enter her mind because Her mind was nothing but a vacuum.

But Banshee suddenly moved away from me and did not harm me. Maybe she knew I was Hans' friend, or I tried to read her mind.

After that, I did a lot of research on that wizard, But I found nothing but her loneliness. I am sure that Banshee will mourn for those who have no one and are very lonely.

Today in that dark street, I saw Banshee again. I had heard her moan before at Maggie's death and before when Jules tried to kill herself.

This time Banshee was wearing a purple robe, the wisteria color. Banshee's face was angry and scary. It had been years since I had seen her. Banshee rushed towards me. The closer she got to me, the harder it became for me to recognize her face. I heard you should not look into his eyes, or you will be easily captured. Banshee brought her face close to mine, and I could feel her cold breaths that smelled of blood. Drops of blood came from her eyes on my face. Agnosia once again helped me to overcome another danger.

I tried to speak under a lot of pressure. I said with all my might, "It was not my job. I was not to blame for killing this tree. I was not to blame for killing Maggie or even that witch."

Banshee's breaths became faster. She was angry, and Banshee had her face almost stuck to mine. I did not know what evil she wanted to do to me, so suddenly he left me.

- "Aiden Adkins, my aunt and I never had a chance to thank you. Please get out of here faster. An aura of us will watch over you to get away from here. No one can harm you for a long time. Your house will be safe from now on. No creature with supernatural powers can enter your house anymore."

I knew I had heard that voice before, but I did not know whose voice it was. I did not know who I had helped that who is helping me now. I just knew I had to get away before Hans or Banshee came back. I was worried about Jules. Maybe that's why I said involuntarily, "Jules ..."

- "We are a family, and we will not allow anyone to harm one of us again."

I got home without realizing it. I was thinking about that sound. I knew it sounded very familiar, but I could not figure out whose voice it was. I remember all the sounds. Even if I once heard a voice, I can't forget it.

I have no recollection of rescuing a woman with her nephew. My turbulent thoughts did not allow me to fall asleep. I wrote down the plan I had wanted to do for a long time, and I was thrilled that Hans could no longer disturb my house or harm my neighbor.

I have been thinking of making a podcast and publishing it on the Internet for some time now. I had to decide whether to return to the legendary Aiden Adkins or distance myself from my name. By morning I decided not to use my name. I wanted to talk about people who were very regular and lived next to me in this city.

I decided to name my podcast "No Faces" ...

I pulled back the curtains; it was morning. My cell phone rang. I guessed it was Jules because no one contacts me except the gallery owner and Jules. My guess was correct. "I'm sorry for yesterday," Jules said.

I wrote in response: "You did not do a bad thing to be sorry."

- "Thank you for what you said to me. Thanks for the calm and confidence you have given me; I will surely succeed in this case. I know you do not know how you knew about this case, and that bothers me. I can even admit that you scare me. You know a lot, and you know a lot of secrets, but I hope you will tell me your secrets one day."

Again, I remembered last night The voice saying that Jules was part of their family. My thoughts became turbulent again.

I only sent him a smile in response. The less Jules knew than I did, the more secure he was. I turned on my microphone and said, "Hi, I'm Aiden Adkins, and you're listening to ..."

I interrupted. I had forgotten that I was no longer Aiden Adkins.
