Chapter 32: Jude Heartfilia.
Jason looked at the girls that will be traveling with him and says, "We will be flying to Lucy's house. I have never been there, so I cannot teleport there, yet. For those of you who do not have the flight ability, I will be teaching it to you. That also includes you Aquarius. If you plan on traveling with us for days on end, you will also need this ability."
All the girls nodded except Aquarius. She had a shocked expression on her face and said, "What do you mean you will be teaching it to us?" and then Jason gave the eight of the girls that did not have wings yet, the ability of flight. All the girls popped their wings out to examine them. Aquarius was shocked again. She just learned how to fly without even being formally taught. Lisa turns to Aquarius and says, "Hubby has the ability to teach others, some magic he can use." in a matter-of-fact way. Then the group walked downstairs and ate breakfast in the inn. They then returned to the room so that they could teleport to the East Forest. They will then fly to the Heartfilia estate from there as it is the closest landmark that he can teleport to without arousing too much suspicion from the girls, and it is only an hour flight away from there.
As soon as they get to the East Forest, Jason looks at Lucy and says, "Ok Lucy, we will follow you from here. We are in the East Forest; do you know how to get home from here?"
Lucy nods and says, "I think I can get us there. We are not that far." She then pops out her wings and jumps into the sky and starts to head southwest. Everybody else spreads their wings and jumps into the air following Lucy. After about an hour of flying, the Heartfilia estate comes into view. They land at the top of a hill that overlooks the whole Heartfilia estate. It is an impressive view. There is a brick road that leads all the way to a building that looks like it should be the capitol building for a large nation. Little houses and structures are leading up to the main structure, there are two mansions, one on each side of the road, that are set back a little ways from the road. There are gardens and well-maintained hedges all over the place, and there is a big mountain range in the background that just adds to the beauty of the whole site.
Jason walked up to Lucy and said, "This is where you grew up? This town is amazing!" Knowing full well that this whole area is the Heartfilia estate.
Lucy turns to Jason and says, "Yes. Everything you see is part of the Heartfilia estate. The mansion at the end of the road is where I grew up." as she points to the 'capitol building' at the end of the road.
Jason then says to Lucy, "It truly is beautiful. Why did you leave?" also knowing that at this point and time, her dad is kind of a dick.
"My father and I did not get along very well. You will see what I mean when you meet him." Lucy said.
Jason grabs her hand and says, "Well, let us go. I want to see this so-called father that could not give the time of day to his beautiful daughter." and they started to walk to the main part of the estate. As they are walking, they pass by a lot of empty buildings and houses. Even the two mansions look empty, Jason thought to himself, 'What a shame. To let all this beauty just, be left empty and unused.' as they continue up the brick road. Once they get in front of the main house, a gardener is tending to the bushes. He was startled by so many people just showing up suddenly, completely unannounced.
"Ms. Lucy?" The gardener said, and then he yelled "Ms. Lucy, your back. Welcome home." The people that work in the estate started to come out and see what was going on and were shocked and happy when they found that Lucy had returned. They all started to gather around her and talk about how good it is to see her again and asking her questions about where she has been and what she has been up to.
What looked to be the head maid came out of the front entrance of the main house and said, "Ms. Lucy, your father is waiting for you in the study." This upset Lucy because she had been gone for almost a year, and he did not even come out to greet her. She just nodded and started to enter the house.
The maids tried to take her away saying she had to have the proper attire on to address her father and Jason said, "That will not be necessary, show us to the study." in a commanding voice. The maids all looked a little nervous and did as they were told.
They got to the door of the study and Lucy lifted her hand to knock, and Jason said, "What are you doing, my dear Lucy? Is this not your house as well?" Lucy looked at Jason and said, "It is not proper to walk in unannounced, where the man of the house is." Jason nodded, understanding what Lucy was trying to say but, at this point, he did not really care. He opened the door and walked right in like he owned the place. Jason remembers how this whole conversation went down in the anime.
As soon as Jason entered the room, there was a tall older man in a black business suit with a blue tie on sitting at his desk, looking through some papers. Jason, Lucy, and the rest of the girls walked in silently heading straight for the desk in front of them.
Jude looked up and saw all the girls and Jason walking straight at them. He stood up and slammed his palms on the desk as said, "Is this how you show respect for the man of this house? You come in, unannounced and not dressed in the proper attire? Lucy, I thought I raised you better."
Lucy stepped forward to argue back at him for not greeting them at the door when she finally returned, but Jason raised his hand and then said, "Is it not you who is the rude one here sir? We were merely following your example. When you have guests, is it not customary to greet them as they enter your home?"
This made Jude even angrier, and he yelled, "This is my house! I will do as I see fit!"
Jason said in a calm and almost, not caring tone, "Is it not hers as well?" and pointed his thumb at Lucy who was still standing behind him.
This made Jude who was already angry, even angrier, and he starts to walk around the desk clenching his fist as he says, "I should have all of you thrown out and take Lucy and teach her a lesson!" This made all the girls behind him terribly angry and they all started to look at Jude with the intent to kill him.
Then Lisa steps forward and says, "You do not have enough people here to through us out. Trust me when I say, the man in front of you can level nations if he wanted to."
Jude was now a couple of feet away from Jason and the girls and then,
{New ability detected. Do you wish to acquire?}
Jason now has a full understanding of his system started to think about what kind of magic it is and finds out it is 'Pocket Change' and then he thinks [Yes].
{Acquiring}
{New magic acquired. Analyzing... upgrade available. Do you wish to upgrade?}
[Yes]
{Upgrading... upgrading complete.}
Jason thinks [Stats. New magic.]
Jason smiles and says, "Hey Friday."
Friday says, "Yes brother?"
Jason then says, "Do you know what the exchange rate for gold is right now? I have not had a chance to look."
