Chapter 1: The Discovery
BEEP BEEP BEEP I open my eyes to see the roof of my house, I slowly get up still feeling groggy and a little tired after just waking up. I reach over and turn off the alarm, I then hear my mother yell from down stairs " Jacob, get up, it's time for you to go to school. " I quickly yell back I'm up mom, I'm coming. ( I'm going to put parenthesis when MC is talking, let me know if I need to change that) before taking a quick shower and changing my clothes.

I was currently finishing class, where I'm like a mini celebrity due to my young age. I'm currently still six however I'm already in high school, I would have went straight to college to be done with school as quick as possible but my parents wanted me to socialize before becoming an adult so I could have some friends. Let me tell you, that did not work out, I feel like a zoo animal here with all the stares I get just walking around, and nobody takes me seriously due to my young age or they think I'm stuck up due to my good grades

I was sitting in my room doing something I should have done a long time ago, jerki... no I'm just kidding I am currently hacking into the governments files to see what caused my dad to always run off to work all the time, This is supposed to be hard. I mumble to myself after getting into the files of the government. People around me always tell me I'm a genius but l don't see it, isn't everything just easy? My parents always tell me I could achieve great things if I weren't so lazy, so now l'm being productive, don't blame me for this, blame yourselves. Why do I keep talking to myself? Am I going insane.
I quickly start searching through the files and find one titled 'Cultivation' and click on it because it seemed interesting. I quickly skim through the file and retain all the knowledge, due to my eidetic memory, and am shocked by what I find. After being stunned for a while I quickly laugh it off as a prank by my dad, I knew it wasn't that easy to break into the governments files. I decide to just quickly go to sleep and worry about it tomorrow.

I currently just got home from school and am currently bored, so I decide to play around and try that cultivation technique I seen in that email so I remember what it said ~~ Beginner guide to cultivation, sit cross legged in a lotus position, close your eyes and clear your mind, you will then feel an energy all around you. Try to absorb that energy into your body through your stomach where you will leave the energy in a circle you envision, called your dantian. You will then enter the 1st stage of cultivation, the energy gathering stage, this stage has 9 levels to it before you reach a higher stage. ~~
I quickly follow the instructions and enter meditation, however I sit there for what feels like thirty minutes and cannot feel any energy. I quickly decide this must be a prank by my father and am about to stop meditating when I feel something, an energy of sorts, and quickly pull it into my body through my stomach and into my dantian, where it rotates before settling down. I am ecstatic to have finally found something interesting, however I am quickly depressed after realizing how long it took me to enter the first stage. I quickly realize I have no talent for the path of cultivation.
After realizing this I am depressed for a while before trying to think of a way to overcome this problem. I quickly come up with a solution that is plausible and quickly decide to try it. I have decide to use insects that can suck blood to cultivate by giving them some cultivation energy (I will call it Qi from now on) and swallowing them into my dantian. Luckily I live near a lake that has some leeches in it that I can inject with Qi to see what effect it has on them.

I have just gotten back to my room and have 6 leeches in a cup in my hand, to make sure my mother didn't see them. I take one out and leave the rest in the cup, I quickly pull some Qi into the leech, by quickly I mean thirty minutes, I notice that the leech seems to have grown a little bigger but can't see anything else different. Well here goes nothing, I say before letting the leech bite me and I notice that the leech seems to be draining something other than my blood from me. I then realize that it's absorbing my life essence from me and quickly pull my finger back. ( I know what MC did is stupid but this is for character progression)
