Chapter 7: Asami & A Threat

Author Note: So this is my first time writing a female OC that's supposed to be sassy like this. Let me know how you think I did and what I could change in the future. Also, not every Universe will be this OC-based just wanted to show a different perspective on common universes.

Hearing her say that Shirei's thought raced for a moment as he blanked out. Seeing Shirei go silent she chuckled as she pulled a seat right next to his and sat down. "I'm just joking with you, no need to look so shocked. But I am interested in what a pretty thing like you are in this place and packing well..." Glancing down at Shirei's gun he calmed his thoughts down and tried to play it off.

"Well, I could say the same thing about you. You looked so sad and drunk I didn't know what to say." Hearing his retort the woman almost burst out laughing on the spot as she placed her drink on the part of the counter that wasn't broken. "Well, you're definitely not from around here if you're using lines like that." Reaching out her hand she let off a smile.

Glancing at her hand Shirei returned the gesture shaking hers as well. "No need to be so guarded my name is Asami thanks for that little show of yours." Responding to the introduction Shirei responded. "Name's Sh-" Pausing for a moment Shirei wondered if he should tell her his name. 'Well, it's not like it has any bearing in this world.'

Finishing what he was saying he gave her his full introduction. "My name is Shirei a pleasure." Hearing him say his name Asami let out a sigh of relief when she touched his hand. Taking her hand back she tilted her head and spoke to him. "So are you gonna tell me why you're here? I doubt this is your kind of place."

Seeing her eyes were locked directly to his face Shirei wanted to narrow his eyes. 'Two different bars in two different universes and I've only spoken to women. It hurts that my Charisma only went up after I died and was turned into a machine.' Ignoring it Shirei decided to play along. "I'm looking for someone here but I'm not really sure where they are."

Showing an interesting look she turned her chair and looked at the mobs in the lower levels of the den. "Well, there are all types of people here. Mobsters, Human Traffickers, Drug Dealers even a few people into assassination. A city for all types of people." Taking a sip of her drink her voice became slightly apathetic as she turned back to Shirei.

"So got a description to lock onto?" Thinking for a second Shirei really was at a loss as he shook his head. "Nope though I can guarantee when I see them I'll know. Other than that I can only guess they're stirring up some sort of shit storm as we speak." Hearing him, Asami raised her brow before telling Shirei something.

"Well in that case then you probably need to head further into the city. That's where shit really hits the fan in this city. Compared to that you can consider this place a rest stop." Having the AI put all this into the Local Database Shirei had a few questions as well. "Well, Asami since I told you my reason for being here it's my turn to ask a question right?"

Smiling slightly, Asami sat there and responded. "Sure but as many questions as you ask me will be paid back in full." Hearing that Shirei shrugged and asked his first question. "So how exactly is all this allowed to run? I mean what about the hero's wouldn't they shut this place down?"

Listening to Shirei's first question Asami froze for a moment and looked at him to see if he was serious. "Huh, you really don't know anything? Alright then… This is Muto City, a perfect place for all of your illegal businesses, and a perfect place to get yourself killed. By heroes, I'm guessing you mean the Vigilantes and if you are then I can happily say they fucked off a while ago."

Shirei's face suddenly shifted when he heard that and Asami saw he was confused so she continued. "You seem pretty bright so ill sum it up for ya. There were vigilantes here at one point but that changed with time. This place was a hell hole through and through and no amount of heroism would change that. So they gave up, took all the good samaritans, and went to a city easier to 'clean up'."

Hearing that Shirei noticed a slight glint in Asami's eyes. 'If I remember correctly the Vigilantes were like the first heroes as society was getting used to quirks. So this was a time long before the main story had even begun.' Understanding why things were so chaotic Shirei couldn't believe Vigilanties actually gave up on an entire city.

"Ya, I know how shitty this place must be for a group devoted to helping people had to give up on it right?" Asami's voice was filled with sarcasm but also some melancholy. Going silent for a second Shirei asked his second question. "So if this place is so bad then why do you stay here?"

Stopping her movements for a moment Asami looked Shirei dead in the eyes. "Asking the personal questions now huh… Well, let's just say me and my Quirk like it better when we're surrounded by alcohol and the filth of the world." Not understanding exactly what she meant Shirei wasn't given a chance to inquire as she suddenly spoke again.

"Speaking of filth I would duck." Hearing her warning Shirei didn't bother doubting it and ducked his head. Just a second later a gunshot went off as one of the glasses hung on the wall behind the bar shattered spilling into contents onto the floor. Once again the sudden gunshot caused everyone who was talking in the den to get quieter.

"What's with all the crap going down today. It hasn't even been a single hour."

"I mean I'm not complaining, the more action the better am I right."

Walking up towards the area both Asami and Shirei were sitting a man in a white suit that matched his rigid complexion and slightly facial hair was followed by three supposed bodyguards dressed in black. "Well, I was expecting to have killed you with that and getting that idiot Jiro to stop complaining." Turning his gaze from Shirei the man spotted Asami which immediately caused his smile to droop.

"Oh, and of course you're here to Asami. You have finally done ruining people's lives and decided to drink yourself to death?" Not taking his words seriously in any regard Asami raised her glass to him with a smile. "Good to see you too Aki how's the boss doing?" Hearing her mention his boss Aki's face stiffened even further.

"Asami, I'm sure you know we only have a few rules in this city. One of the biggest being you dont mess with 'The Big Four'. Yet despite that, you somehow managed to single-handedly piss everyone one of them off. My boss is the most so." Listening to the conversation from the side Shirei couldn't believe how calm Asami was acting in this situation.

And even now she continued to act so with her response. "Well, I thought me and him had a great time that night." Gritting his teeth Aki suddenly yelled. "He hired you to simply make sure he had a good time out while drinking. But instead, he woke up naked in an alleyway with all his stuff stolen!" Hearing that Shirei would have choked if he could have as he glanced at Asami.

'Holy shit this girl is crazy. I wonder why I never heard her mentioned in MHA. That's something I would love to see.' With MHA being a relatively straight casted anime he couldn't imagine what Asami would be like if she was older and interacting with the main cast. "What can I say? If you go out drinking flaunting your status like that you gotta expect to be robbed one day right? Karma at its finest."

Still smiling at Aki he suddenly calmed himself down as he spoke his next sentence. "Well unlucky for you all your stunts ended up catching 'HIS' attention." For the first time since they started talking Asami's face dipped slightly as she whispered in disbelief. "All For One?" That name of course was caught by Shirei who was stunned.

'Wait someone like All For One is here in this city?' That immediately raised the threat level of this place to a point he felt uncomfortable with. All For One in this time period would still be in his prime and he didn't want to find out how his body would fare against someone like that. "Oh so now you finally decided to shut up?" Aki looked down at Asami and smirked.

"Looks like a thieving bitch like you can tell when they fucked up." Shirei suddenly heard Asami sigh and he could partially feel her animosity. If he had been spoken down to like that and had to keep a lax attitude even while drunk he would probably go off on that person. "You know Aki, that's the second time someones called a bitch today… And unlucky for both of us, I'm now sober."

Not knowing exactly what she meant Aki was surprised when she suddenly threw her drinking glass at him. The glass shattered on impact with his face leaving him dazed. "Gah!" Stumbling back slightly Asami took this chance to run towards him as his bodyguards began to draw their guns.

Jumping slightly Asami grabbed the back of Aki's head before kneeing him in the face at full force. The sound of a broken nose echoed throughout the den as even the caged match fight had ended and everyone's attention was on what was happening near the bar. "Ugh!" Feeling so much pain in his face Aki let go of the gun in his hand which Asami quickly grabbed.

Landing back on the ground she used her free hand to hold Aki by his collar using his body as a shield to stop the other bodyguards from firing while she shot the one who was still aiming up his shot. A hole appeared in his head as he fell to the ground. Continuing to use Aki as a shield she placed him over her back slightly and bent down to shoot the second bodyguard to her right.

"Dammit!" Realizing he was next, the last bodyguard was ready to shoot through Aki at this point as he aimed to kill Asami right then and there. But before he could even pull the trigger a similar pulsing sound went off as a hole appeared in his chest. This shot was from Shirei who was watching from his chair and being impressed.

'She's good especially using a quirk…' Seeing Shirei kill the last guard for her she glanced at him before sliding Aki off her back and slamming him on the floor with his face looking at the ceiling. Sitting on top of his chest Asami jammed his gun into his mouth with a smile. "You should really learn how to treat a woman that's probably why you're still alone."

Not in the mood for her jokes Aki glared at Asami as he spoke with his mouth full. "Youuu… Think just caaauze you kull me ull be safee." Looking at him Shirei had to admit he was ballsy for talking to Asami like that with a gun in his mouth. However on the other hand Asami acted nonchalantly.

"I don't care what All For One wants he can hunt me down if he wants. But since you want to talk so much about what's going to happen, how about I tell you your future instead." Pressing the gun deeper into his mouth Aki saw a cold glint in Asami's eyes which immediately caused him to lose all confidence. "Wautt! Waaast!"

Ignoring his clear pleads she spoke so everyone could hear it. "I predict that you'll die sad and alone with no one giving a shit about you." In that instant tears welled up in Aki's eyes as a bang went off in the den. Letting go of the gun's handle Asami stood up and dusted off her pants before walking back over to the bar.

With zero traces of her tone before she looked at Shirei. "Thanks for the help but sadly I gotta go. See you around pretty boy." Tapping Shirei on the shoulder Asami made her way to the exit before finally leaving the den with no one bothering to stop her. Shirei on the other hand was left stunned. 'Well, that was something… I ended up killing a man today...'

Glancing at the corpses on the ground and the blood begins to pool out of the back of Aki's neck Shirei supposed it was time for him to go as well. Asami had already given him a hint of where to go so now all he had to do was follow it. 'I wonder if it's because All For One got to her that she didn't show up in the Cannon.'

Thinking about it for a moment Shirei decided it would be best if he checked her Biography later when he had the chance. Meanwhile, in a tall building miles away from Shirei's location two people were in a room. One of them was sitting in a previous chair overlooking the entire city from his floor's view.

The other was standing beside him silently. "You did a good job dealing with your latest assignment and it seems you got even stronger from it." The man who was sitting in the chair had a mannered way of speaking while the second person standing next to him was around the age of a normal boy and didn't speak.

"I never imagined an Elemental quirk like yours would be so great at assassination. And my interest grows in it every day due what a shame I can't steal it…" Speaking blatantly he paused for a moment before continuing.

"I have another mission for you now. A woman has been causing trouble for the people under me. Her name is Asami. Her quirk is quite interesting from what I can tell and it would be best if you brought her to be alive."

The black-haired boy standing next to the man lowered his head not letting emotion show on his face as he read two prompts that showed up in his vision.
