Chapter 132: 129. Sudden Nuisance, Part II
BOTH I AND VAL TURNED OUR HEADS TO HIM, "What's with that reaction?" I exclaimed in shock.
{"If your father had stayed here for a little longer, he would probably have sensed me!"} What?
"Didn't you say no human could?" Val questioned with his eyebrows raised.
{"That man, your father, isn't just a human. He's one of those, as I like to call, rare human monsters. He's probably as sharp as Stradivarius! And if you two turn out to be like him in the future, even spirits will fear you,"} his eyes stared into mine. {"Especially you!"}
I bit my bottom lip, anxiously. "Were you scared of our dad?"
{"Nothing scares me, kid. But he got me wary and on my guard. He's stronger enough to get me to acknowledge him. You are lucky to be his children, not enemies' offspring. That would fuck you up. And I'm pretty sure your dad would be compatible with the water spirit,"} his eyes met Val's. {"I think that annoying hedgehog would be able to bond with you, kid!"}
Val's face lightened up with that beautiful smile I love so much, "Hedgehog?"
Chaos nodded, {"The electric spirit isn't bonded yet, kid. You can bond with him,"} he turned to me. {"Find a way to talk with Varius about this. I bet you would feel more at ease if your dad and the person you love the most were both with spirits by their side, hm?"}
I turned to Val, then to Chaos. "I'll think about this later. We don't have much time for that now, do we?" They understood what I meant by that right away. "Let's go. This is more important now."
Heading towards the empty stables, we found Moondust and Thunderbolt, and not long after that, we were on the road. Thankfully, there was almost no one, up at this hour, only some drunk idiots and homeless people. As well as a guard and some Black Imperial Knights here and there.
To the forest we went in total silence, enjoying our own company, only stopping when we reached the north side of the heart of the woods. When we were sure that no human souls were around, we got off our horses and prepared to train.

Chaos told Valerian not to dare to go easy on me while helping me out on this, and Val seemed unsure about that, probably scared of the possibility of hurting me. But he shouldn't be. "Val," he turned to me, biting the inside of his cheeks. "Chaos is right on this. You cannot go easy on me. It's common knowledge that one's magic usually explodes when they are frustrated, angered, or sad about something. Don't forget that if I do not control this magic of mine, I'll end up hurting everybody and myself. That would break me, and you don't want to see that happening do you?"
The cat smirked, clearly noticing that I was kind of manipulating his emotions on this. But I had to do it, or he wouldn't come at me with full strength because I would get hurt. I know him, he's the same as me on this.
"Keep in mind that you won't be hurting me, but helping me out, Val!" I giggled. "And be aware that when I began to help you out with your swordsmanship, I will go hard on you, because that's the best way for you to learn."
He giggled. "Alright, I think that will do. Thanks for the pressure, sister!"
"Anytime you need that, come to me," Chaos chuckled softly to that. "Come, Val, make me pissed!"
{"And do not worry, subconsciously, she might freeze this whole area, but she'll leave you unscathed. Just as subconsciously protected herself on the day she caused the ocean accident,"} I hope so, at least. I wouldn't forgive myself if I hurt Val, but I trust that deep inside of me, I won't let myself cause him any harm.
Not again!
"Sorry," for what?
The second I asked myself that, I felt a strong wave of invisible power pick me from the ground, throw me higher into the sky, and then bring me back by throwing my body on the ground with a force that would have killed me on the spot. It would have if something inside of me didn't freeze the entire ground to soften the impact. But still, it hurt like hell.
"Goddess above, you really aren't holding yourself," I muttered and turned to Val, to see him floating using his telekinesis, and laughing. And to my dismay, Chaos was standing on his shoulders. "Is it funny to you?" He covered his mouth but didn't stop laughing, which made me laugh too. It's better if he's like this, than worried by the possibility of having hurt me or not. "Alright, do it again," I said as I got up, hiding from them the pain I felt in my ribs.
Crossing his legs, as he sat on the thin air, Val did it again, but this time it was so fast that my magic didn't react. However, I managed to fall in a way that wouldn't break any of my bones. When he saw that I was fine, he did it once again, and again, and again, and again.
He seemed to be enjoying himself. And so was Chaos. The goal was to piss me off to see how much of this power inside of me, I would be able to unleash.
Well, they succeded. When Val threw me to the sky and hit me with a not-strong enough-to-kill thunder, as Chaos instructed him to do, I lost it. I felt my anger burning me from inside out, and then I screamed frustrated.
As I screamed, I felt the power rushing through my veins, and taking over every tiny bit of my body, until it released itself. And it did it right before I was to hit the ground, spreading to everywhere I could see with my eyes. My eyes closed for a second, and when I opened them again, everything was ice blue.
Chaos was right when he said that I wouldn't hurt Val, because he was intact and so was the cat, of course. But the ground of the woods, and the trees in about 5 kilometers, were all still and covered in thick ice. And when I looked down, I realized I was floating as well, and my knees weren't touching the ice that covered the earth.
My eyes went to Val, and he came floating in my direction, "I was afraid you could end up hurting yourself," he giggled. "You did well, sis." Then he looked around. "But I think we'll have to go farther in those woods because it won't be proper to train my swordsmanship above all this ice, would it?"
