Chapter 239: Evil ( II )

If Evil was what she was, Lumielle would accept it. She would openly allow herself to be called evil, but she wouldn't allow those that she cherished to sit in the cell. Especially since she could tell that this man didn't want to be locked up. Was she also a hypocrite? Lumielle thought of the white-haired male and how she had yelled at him to stay. Why did he leave her? Was Rias the one in the cell? 

"Why?" Allard asked, grabbing the bars. Her brother grabbed her wrist, forcing her behind him as if by habit. She admired the strength of her brother's grip. Aristele had been practicing with Magnus, a man seasoned by war, and his grip felt stronger than before. Pride swelled in her chest and her anxiety was quiet for a second. 

Allard's dark cerulean eyes pierced her own, "Why him?" 

"You do like speaking in riddles?" Lumielle shot back, her eyes narrowing, "Is that something you enjoy?"
