Chapter 5: Light went off

"Shut up! What are you doing here, here in my room ?" his voice melted, "and why is she here, why is she crying ?"

"First of, this room of yours is prohibited for all of us except Eunji, So I brought my soon-to-be sister-in-law to her soon-to-be husband's and her room--"

"Shut up Jay!" Jin's coerce voice mixed with Eunji's sniffed voice as they both chorus scolded shameless Jay.

"Tell me why is she crying?" he questioned Jay.

"Don't you have a mouth to ask her by yourself? Don't you think at this time you should go and comfort her, try to share her pain ? How long are you going to act shy in front of her? If this goes on, someone will take Eunji far away who will deserve her!" Jay spoke the sour truth not to humiliate his brother but to make his emotions stronger.

Jin turned to Eunji, who was seated on the bed sobbing continuously. He was shy to express his feelings which lead to lack of comforting words he could find at that point of time.

"Eunji, Wh-what happened to you ?" that all came out from him.

She didn't say anything but tossed a diary in the direction of Jin. While Jin's eyes went wide in fear, humiliation that she read everything that he wanted to convey to her for a very long time, but couldn't confess to her.

"Jay! You bastard, why ?" he gritted his teeth.

Suddenly, the light went off leaving the whole room in dark. The windows of their third floor room were open, and it could be seen that their neighbourhood houses had their lights on. That completely meant only the Young mansion's electricity was gone.

"I think there might be some problem in the basement that disconnected the whole electric supply to the mansion, I'll go and check there." Jay said in a hurried concerned voice and without hearing their reply, he ran out of the room, closing the room's door.

His footsteps could be heard by Jin and Eunji which were fading slowly, proving that Jay was going to the basement. While both Jin and Eunji were left in a cold room which was completely dark.

"Perhaps I should close the window. The heater went off, you can wrap yourself in the quilt, I have a duvet in my cupboard let me get you that." he pushed himself to open the cupboard so that his lady didn't die out of cold, and pulled out her velvet duvet for her.

Walking toward the bed with the duvet in his hand, he said "I don't know where you are. Can you speak so that i can know?"

"I;m here, on the bed. Just throw the duvet onto the bed." she spoke with a soft voice echoing in his bedroom.

He threw the duvet into the direction of her voice, "Yeah take it, wrap up yourself in it. You will feel cold as the heater is off."

"Thank you" she wrapped herself with both a quilt and the duvet.

"I should go and see what happened in the basement." said the man who was reluctantly getting cold as only a cotton shirt and a trouser pant was all that was on him.

Eunji was about to resist him not to go because she would be left alone in darkness on the third floor when Jin turned the door knob only to realise the door was locked.
