Chapter 1: PROLOGUE

WOLVES are known as treacherous. They deceive their prey and then kill them afterward. They are deceitful. Even the bible described them as a wolf in sheep clothing. They are hiding somewhere, concealing their identities. For what reason? To deceive their preys.

But as a spirit animal, it gives you intelligence, freedom, and loyalty. Is that true, though?

A man wearing a mischievous smile was looking down to his land from what looks like his tower. He was holding a glass of wine. He walked into his leather chair and sat. His back facing the glass wall. In front of his table, a man that looks like his right-hand was standing firm and strong.

"Is everyone ready?" Says the man who's wearing his dangerous smirk to his right-hand man. Who is he? He is the…

"Yes, Alpha. They are all ready." His right-hand man answered.

The man referred to as 'Alpha' clasped his hands together. A satisfied smile etched on his lips, he leaned backward then looked at his right-hand man, "Perfect. So, what are you waiting for? Attack the villagers, now."

His right-hand man didn't even think twice in following his orders. He bowed a little bit then marched backward, away from the Alpha.

From afar, the Alpha can be seen laughing a dangerous laugh.

A laugh directed to the villagers.

VILLAGERS are a group of people who resides in a village. They were good, hardworking, and all the good characteristics that you can think of.

They are trying to live peacefully but that won't happen because there are wolves who are trying to blend in. Lurking and preying after them, deceiving them, making chaos, and ruining what the villagers founded, their trust for their co-villagers.

"Stop lying and tell me who are you?" Says the girl in her white shirt stained with what looks like blood. She was looking at her beloved, her man.

The man turned to face her, his face void of any emotions but sadness, grief, anger, and confusion. "How about you? Can I still trust you? Tell me because I am slowly losing my mind." He said, his voice sounds so tired.

The girl bit her lip—trying her best not to break down in front of him. Looking at his face, she decided, she will not answer his questions.

The man shook his head, looking disappointed at her decision. He took a step back, turned around, and left her hanging. He walked away from her. While her? She left out a big sigh trying her best not to cry but to no avail. Tears started falling, shoulders shaking.

She tried to call him but her voice won't even cooperate. Instead, she whispered on the wind, hoping that it would reach him, but it did not.

"In all the obstacles we have faced, why have you not been able to trust me?"

Using her hands full of blood, she covered her face.

"You should have trusted me."
