Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Catching a Fishes Attention
Daycare was how do I say this nicely... Boring as Hades. Since its this boring already I always turn of my Future Sight during school. The only thing interesting about this place is this kid Percy Jackson. He's like me, a demigod.
I don't know how but I can tell he is, and a strong one at that, as strong as me. Meaning he has a strong parent as strong as my father Hades. And there are only two gods who can rival my father in power, Zeus and Poseidon.
"Hey Ash stop daydreaming already and play with me and this string I found." Percy said.
When I turn to look at him my blood ran cold. The 'string' that Percy was holding in his hands was actually a snake.
"Percy throw away that thing you're holding now!" I yelled.
He threw it in suprise.
"Hey what gives!" He pouted at me.
I ignored him. I finally got a proper look at the snake and realize it was dead. Either Percy found it dead or strangled it to death with his chubby hands.
'Like Herakles' I thought.
"Percy, did you kill it? The snake?" I carefully asked.
"Snake?" He turned to look at the 'string' and I would have laugh there and then when I saw his face lose its colour.
"So you didn't realize it huh." I evenly said.
"No I didn't!" He said swaying his head left and right.
"We gonna tell Aunt Sally about this?" I asked.
"Nuh uh I don't want my mom to worry about me. She has enough problems." He said with sadness.
"So can we keep this between us?." He hopefully asked.
"Sure why not." I said while shrugging.
"Kids! Naptime!" Yelled the teacher.
As Percy and the other kids start going back to the classroom I turned to look at the snake once more and saw its tiny shadow move a bit. I rub my eyes and I still see its shadow moving. As I try to get closer to the corpse I was called once again by teacher who was now sternly looking at me so I had no choice but to listen to her.

As I enter the classroom the teacher clapped her hands and said.
"Alright kids its naptime."
Getting a bunch of yells of approval from my classmates.
As my classmates are fast asleep and the teacher went to gods know where I tried to quickly sneak out of the classroom and find the snakes dead body.
As I was about to close the door behind me I heard a whisper.
"Psst. Ash where you going?"
I turned to look and saw it was Percy energetically fidgeting in place.
"To the playground where the snake is." I said.
"Huh cool, can I come?" He asked me with hope and expectation in his eyes.
How can you say no to that?
When we got to the snake I heard it. A whisper in my head'Say it! Say it! ' It said.
It keep yelling over and over that it went from creepy to annoying in seconds.
As we stood infront of the snake I said what the voices wanted from me.
"Arise." Though barely a whisper it carried power.
After I said that the snake's shadow began to dance and it started to rise untils it showed an almost exact copy of the snake, almost because even though it had the same length and width of the snake its had a pure black color unlike the corpses color which is grey.
When the shadow, that's what I'm calling it, saw me it slithered its way closer to me and bowed as if to say I'm its master.
I heard a gasp of suprise from beside me and I saw Percy. With stars in his eyes.
"So cool!!!" He excitedly said as he began to play with the shadow and said shadow looking at me for help.
I couldn't help but smile at his antics.
"Alright Percy thats enough as you can see the snake is a little bit uncomfortable." I said to him.
I looked at the shadow, its definitely mine so its my responsibility, and I wonder how can I bring him home or better yet how can I hide him.
It must have read my mind because the second I finished my thoughts it entered my shadow. MY SHADOW.
" Woah" Was the only thing I could say.
I looked at Percy and saw him with his mouth wide open. I looked at him seriously and said.
"We won't say it to anyone, promise?"
"Okay!" He said while nodding.
"But only if you promise to tell me what's going on." He said with his childish voice.
"Of course just ask Aunt Sally if you can come over and we can have a sleepover tonight, deal?"
I said bringing my right hand for a handshake.
"Deal!" He happily said.
During Dismissal
As me and Percy were leaving the classroom we saw our moms happily talking with each other.
We yelled for them to notice us as we ran towards them.
"Mom!" I/Percy yelled.
I ran up to my mom and hugged her as did Percy with his mom. I looked up at my mom and looked at her with my best puppy eyes as I asked.
"Mom can Percy come over so we can have a sleepover tonight?"
My looked like she was shot and stuttered to reply.
"O-Of course little Ash."
At this I smile victoriously 'Mission Success.'
I looked over a the other two and saw Percy mimicking my victorious smile. 'Hehe I taught him well.'
Later that night
Our house was a three story building with 5 different rooms each floor with my room being on the 3rd floor.
Me and Percy are in my room in our pajamas having a pillow fight.
While my Mom was downstairs doing paperwork, her so called greatest enemy.
Alecto, Megaera, and Tisiphone weren't here right now. They said there was problems in the underworld and they were needed there and they just left before I could say anything.
I never told them or my mom about Percy being a demigod. Because I wasn't sure of how their going to react.
I know the Furies were only kind to me because of my father but Percy had a different godly parent that I'm sure of. While I wasn't sure about my mom because she can be can be serious as an adult or childish as a child the next second. She might scold me for keeping a secret at her or pout at me not including her in a secret. Either way I also didn't want her to be more involve in the supernatural than she is already.
My train of thoughts was cut of with my face being hit by a pillow.
"Your daydreaming again Ash." Percy said to me while grinning.
"Sorry I was just thinking on how I should explain what happend a while ago." I said while scratching my head.
"Oh! I forgot about that!" He yelled with recognition.
I had to stop myself from facepalming.
Since my mom was busy downstairs it was safe to have this conversation with Percy right now. But first I think I should explain to him about his godly parent.
" Hey Perce, your mom ever said anything about your dad?" I asked.
He raised an eyebrow at me and said.
"What's that got to do with anything?" He asked as he looked at me strangely.
I ignored the look and said.
"Everything, its related to everything." I said to him seriously.
"Well she said Gabe is-"
I cut him off.
"Not that pig. Your dad. Your biological dad." I said getting pissed off being reminded by that pig Gabe.
"Oh well, the only thing mom told me about him is that he was lost at sea but not dead just lost at sea." He said while scratching his head.
'Well that was easy, so his father is Poseidon'
I stood up went to the door.
"Stay here I'll be right back." I said to him sternly. I didn't even wait for a reply.
I head to the kitchen and got a large pitcher of water large enough to fit a head and returned to my room. I put the pitcher on the table and told Percy to not resist as I put his head in the water. He struggled and resisted but I had superior strength with me doing 10 push ups a day.
I really hope he's a son of Poseidon because if he isn't I'll be commiting murder at the age of 4.
As seconds go by he stopped resisting and he is either dead or began to calm down. I really hope its the latter.
As I pulled my hand away from his head he started to remove his head from the pitcher and looked at me with shock.
I only grinned at him and told him.
"Hey guess what, I know who your dad is."
