Chapter 19: Chapter 18: Always Coming for You

I didn't use any transportation vehicle since I am in my dangerous mode of a vampire. I feel so damn hot. Through the hot blood that kept boiling inside of me, even Terek felt frightened and didn't want to cross with me. He went on his way to where I told him to be while I took my time walking toward the darkest part of the small park behind the waiting shed across my company. I groaned and panted as if I am losing my breath but no. I was just releasing such tension all over my body and it was very painful shifting. I never felt like this before. I could feel the heat was indeed crawling under my skin and the pain from the rush of my blood made me crumpled. But one roar came out on the top of my lungs, the skin on my back ripped off and a very powerful four dragon wings spread out from my back.
"I'm coming, Mirna." I mumbled then took off as if nothing happened and flew to where I learned her location through her ID's locator – it's like a GPS.
With such adrenaline in my veins, I could see my car going in the same direction which made me hurry up since I don't want to waste another time or it'll be too late for my beloved one. Feeling the need of saving her, the speed over the flight, I immediately found the exact location which was indeed the burned barn. I halted in mid-air and took in every strong scent lurking around the rice field. I could tell the air around was not that serene as it used to be as if it's telling me that someone was in danger. I clicked my tongue and when I smelled very familiar blood, I was totally not on my best behavior. I could taste that alluring scent at my lips and it made me loses control over my temper.
"No one touches what's mine." I gritted my teeth since the smell of that blood came from my beloved one, Mirna.
I rushed down with such speed but when my feet hit on the ground there was no sound at all. I might be in my angry mode but not my madness. I waltzed the burned barn as if I was just strolling around. I could tell that they were five men inside the barn and one scent belongs to her since she's the only one who possessed such a weird mixture of fruits, mints, and teas.
"Terek, remind every vampire in our estate about the rules on hurting humans." I took my phone out and called my butler while I was quietly walking toward the van that they used.
'I will, Milady.'
"Good. Are you already in the spot?" I asked as I carefully watched the smoke from a cigarette behind the van.
'Yes. I'm waiting at the rice field's boundary and waiting for your signal.'
"Good. I'll be there in a second." I told him before I hang up the call and as soon as I put my phone in my pocket, things went a little wild.
I moved like an assassin since they could even tell that I was already standing behind the two men who are having their cigarette break 'til I tapped one of their shoulders. They both turned and they were surprised to see a lady approached them so late at night.
"Ahm, can I ask direction?" I played weak as I asked them.
"Sure. Where do you wish to go and we'll company you." One of them was smirking and I already knew what they were thinking – get laid.
"Thanks. I want to go to that barn but I am scared to go alone. I've got separated from my friend since we're playing test of courage." I kept playing weak as one who asked me first went to my side and checking me out openly from head to toe.
"Alright, come with us. We'll protect you from ghosts." The other man stood up and even put his arms around my shoulders while the other one put his hand on my back as if he's guiding me but nope. His hand was going down to my butt. Horny humans.
Anyway, as soon as we got near the barn door, I grabbed the hand of the man whose arms around my neck and threw him to open the barn door. The man next to me was about to attack me but he couldn't anymore since he followed his friend toward the door. But as soon as the barn door was being smashed by them, I don't like what I saw. Mirna was tied down on a wooden chair and there some bleeding over her lips and nose. She also has a couple of bruises over her right eye, her lower lip, and swollen left cheek. I clicked my tongue from that sight while those two men looked at me in their pissed mode since they were being interrupted but at the same time surprise for another doll that they're going to play with.
"Another hot lady to mess with." The man on Mirna's right smirked as if he won a lottery.
"We're indeed having such a great night." The other man agreed before he stood away from Mirna.
"Indeed we are." The same man who spoke first agreed as well.
I'm getting more pissed than earlier but something caught my attention, the other man not far from Mirna's position. He wasn't tagging along with his friends instead, he went closer to Mirna which I really wanted to snap his head off but I saw Mirna nodding. My eyebrows were knotted in confusion over that sight until I met Mirna's orbs as if she's telling me that the man next to him was no harm. Well, I could see that.
"He's keeping her sane." I whispered to myself before my lips turned to a devilish grin which made those men that approaching me began to shiver.
Then some melody began to echo through my ear as if it was singing according to what I am feeling right now. I might be pissed at what they've done to my beloved one but I'm more concerned about saving her. The song that suddenly played in my very own mind was the full English version of the song entitled The Beginning by One Ok Rock.
Just give me a reason to keep my heart beating

As the world falls apart around us

As it began playing behind my mind, I was staring directly only to my beloved Mirna who was tied down on a wooden chair. But these two men have to ruin the moment that I am having while staring at my beloved mate.

I dodged their incoming attacks which by the way was totally predicted or easy to see where they were aiming. But they won't stop till they could hit me which I suddenly smelled something lurking around these men.
I'll risk everything if it's for you
A whisper into the night

What I grasped onto, unable to relinquish
I might keep dodging from their fits and kicks when I heard some groaning coming from the men that I threw earlier to help me opened the barn door. They were waking up and when they do, they joined the other two – in short I am outnumbered. Not to mention that they were getting a hold of their selected weapons like a baseball bat with nails, broken pipe, a kitchen knife, and bike chains.
So stand up, stand up

How crazy I am for this breathtaking moment
They all used their weapons to me but me being in my typical human strength, they managed to hit me at my head, my stomach, my leg, and even at my back. It was indeed a couple of hits that made me bleed but not too much. It was funny but I seriously don't felt anything.

Brief flashes of anguish contained by subconscious impulse
Blinded, I can't see the end
So where do I begin?
I stood still on my ground waiting calmly for whatever attack they were going to give me since I already could tell what move next they were going to make. One, a swing from a baseball bat coming behind me that I smoothly dodge and let it hit to the second incoming attack from a broken pipe. Then the third one was the bike chains that suddenly caught my wrist and managed to pull me down. It made some opening for the kitchen knife to charge openly to my side.
"ELRISHA!!!!" Mirna screamed at the top of her lungs when the kitchen knife managed to pierced my right side.
Say not a word, I can hear you
The silence between us
Harmonizing like there's only emptiness
I'll take this chance and I'll make it mine
Still pretending exposed matters are like hung decorations
Hearing her voice snapped me from being just in my human strength and reminded me of the reason why I have to be here and that's to save my beloved one, my Mirna.

The magnificence of sorrow and misery
With my free hand, I took a tight grip over the man's hand that's holding the kitchen knife pierced over my side. I held it tightly and didn't let go even the man was struggling with the pain that I am inflicting through my grip. I could feel his bones were breaking – well, more on shattering into pieces that made him wailing like a pathetic loser.

Crumbled, wept, blossomed, and dissolved, this hope
So blinded I can't see the end
I let go of his broken hand and with my right hand that was wrapped by the bike chains, with my vampire strength, I pulled it before making a whipping motion. Doing that, the man who's holding the chains lets go because of the strong impact that he's being thrown at that made him loses his consciousness.
Look how far we've made it
The pain I can't escape it
Like this, I can't possibly finish what I'm being forced to end just yet
No matter how often it looks like I'll collapse exhausted, even if I crumble away completely
There is no "end"
So where do I begin?
The remaining three might felt threatened yet they didn't hesitate to fight back and charged at me.
"What a fool." I whispered which made me make another whipping motion of a cowboy that made them halted from their attempt attacks.
If I spread wide my clenched hand
The inert days spent without anything I throw away
Will look like they're scattering as if I had never lost them
And you
Doing that, I watched them carefully as I let my free hand removed the kitchen knife from my side. They were watching and frightened of what I just did since I don't react to how I easily remove the knife away from my stomach's side.

Blinded, I can't see the end
With their fear finally visible through their faces, they still attacked me which made me guessed that they were under the influence of the drugs that made this pathetic fight ended like a dream. They charged randomly and so recklessly which made me used the chains as a defense and counter like in Kung Fu.
Look how far we've made it
The pain I can't escape it
Like this, I can't possibly finish what I'm being forced to end just yet
No matter how often it looks like I'll collapse exhausted, even if I crumble away completely

It finally begins
At every heavy hit onto their faces or their stomachs, they stumbled and loses their consciousness. I released a heavy sigh and dropped the bike chain that I used to fight these drug users. I clicked my tongue as I kicked the dust over my ankle boots when I suddenly felt a very warm body that I needed around me.
"Told you, I'm always coming for you." I whispered but my sight began to blur and I faint in the arms of my beloved one, my Mirna.
