Chapter 17: 16) Dance!......
The family enjoyed their movie night together with Artemis falling asleep during the third movie tired from the day, they all went to bed after that. The next afternoon they got a call from Alice who told them everything that happened it played out like the movie with Bella ending up in the hospital and being bitten.
They were all going to be back tomorrow, now all that was left was the prom and then it would be summer, Rosalie had to wait for Alice to come back since they were going dress shopping. Alice was actually going since Cory offered to help Jasper out, them, Emmett and Becky were the only ones who weren't made at them for the Bella thing instead they saw it from his view.
Since it was still two days away he took his dad and Artemis who begged to come into Port Angeles so that they could go for a Tux fitting for him. He knew what color dress she was going for so he was going to get something to match, his dad also told him about the Triwizard Tournament that he already knew but he said he would get something for that in London.
This week they had already made so many different plans from meeting with Gringotts to a meeting with Dumbledore so he could take test to get into Hogwarts. He had already gotten a wand from a dungeon dive that they did so he wasn't going to Ollivanders which suited him cause his was untraceable and it could never be monitored by the ministry.
When they three made it into town they went straight to the place though it was small because they didn't get much custom work mainly it was people renting a suit. His dad and him were heavy against being in something that someone else had already worn that they didn't know who, Artemis looked around with interest though her eyes scanning them all.
"Daddy, can I get on too?" she asked looking a him with hopeful eyes.
"Are you sure these are mainly for boys, girls wear pretty dresses." he wasn't going to stop her if she really wanted one but she had been like Rosalie a lot and been a girly girl so he wanted her to make sure that she wanted it.
Artemis bit her lip thinking it over him and his dad watching her with a smile, she looked at him with a firm look, "Yes I am sure. Though dresses are pretty I also want to look cool like you and Grandpa so I want to wear them both."
They both smiled at her, "Okay then we will get you a custom one made too." he ruffled her hair while looking at the shop keeper who was smiling at their interaction but was really just happy he got more business.
Cory went first and got a solid black tux but the dress shirt was a maroon red with a rose pattern, he got a red and black bow tie to go along with it. Though it wasn't a branded Tux it was going to look better than what they had for rent, he had already ordered the shirt online it was Torchy which was the name of a high-class brand here.
Artemis went next and while she said she wanted a cool one like them she still chose a hot pink full suit with a black dress shirt and bow tie, he had to admit he kind of wanted one too. His dad laughed seeing that he actually wanted one, Artemis didn't want to leave and wanted hers right away but they would have to go back the next day it was a rush job and it was already thirty percent done.
The three went home and Artemis told her mom all about her new suit with interest and vigor even ratting out that he wanted to copy her, his mom and her hand a laugh at that. The place only rented dress shoes so last week he had already bought some wing-tipped black oxfords.
They spent the rest of the day just lounging around, his dad wanted to go dive into a dungeon since they haven't been in some days but his mom held him back saying they would go once more before leaving Forks. There was nothing left to do now but wait since they had spent all this week packing and bring Rosalie's stuff over her family already coming to terms with it.
Not that they would be here much longer anyways since they would leave after Bella's birthday incident, Rosalie was still on speaking terms with them but he could tell Esme was really sad. They promised to meet up during the summer sometime Bella's birthday was a day before his, so she would be there for that to since he would be in Hogwarts.
Him and her were just going to celebrate his birthday before he took off to Hogwarts for the year since she knew that she wouldn't be able to join him there, the earrings could only do so much. She had gotten a wand from the Dungeon but it reacted badly to her since her magic wasn't natural and she was a vampire in nature that didn't use magic.
-----Two Days Later.
It was already six o'clock and the dance started he was currently sitting in the living room waiting for Rosalie to come downstairs, his mom was waiting with a camera and tears in her eyes. "I never thought there would be a day that my son would actually be doing something like this." she said wiping away the tears but more still flowed.
He could only sigh luckily his dad was on his side, looking at the man he also had his head held high while talking to his mom, "Right dear, he was a lost cause until Rosalie came along and saved him. I know that we are perfect and that our son is good looking because of us but there was a moment there I thought he would turn into a monk and be a virgin forever."
Well never mind then looks like they both were against him, Jasper and Emmett were sitting on another couch trying to hold in their laughs hearing his parents word. Esme and Carlisle weren't there instead they stayed home to see off their favorite 'son' Eddy, these two showed up earlier with an excited Alice who wouldn't let Becky stay home tonight.
Cory only had one thought and that his only friend in the room was Nissy, looking at the little elf he heard her mutter, "So young master was close to being a big time monk, thank goodness for young mistress Rosalie. Nissy will pray for her to stay with him." Cory's smile froze and he turned back to watch the stairs, turns out he had no true friends among them.
Thirty minutes later the girls finally came downstairs leading them was Artemis who was wearing her pink suit, although she wasn't going with them she still got dressed up to send them off. She looked adorable with her wide eyes and toothy grin as she slowly came down steps, "How do I look daddy?" she asked him stopping in front of him.
"Great as always little moon." he compliment making her giggle before she ran over to his mom and dad waiting with them, she wanted to show off her look more. He turned back to the stares and his breath caught in his throat seeing Rosalie.
She was wearing a off the shoulder silk red dressed that hugged her frame perfectly, her hair was in a long braid going over the exposed shoulder with a red ribbon tying it on the end. She had two inch black high heels along with dark eyeliner that made her eyes pop out even more, she smiled at him and he had to make sure he was still breathing.
Stopping in front of him the two watch each other for a moment before his dad's cough brought him back, "Wow, you look absolutely stunning." he took her hand and pulled her close giving her a chaste kiss on her lips. Her eyes heated up some but before they could get into it his mom rush forwarded demanding pictures of the six of them.
She took nearly a hundred before getting several with him, Rosalie and Artemis who turned into a little fashion model, it distracted her enough for them to take off for the dance. When they got there they each took turns taking the photo at the front before splitting off, though Becky and Emmett weren't into it they never left the dance floor.
Cory saw Edward and Bella come but she was now talking to a long haired Jacob, he ignored that and went to slow dance with Rosalie luckily Alice taught him to dance or he would be a fool. After awhile the went out for air with their enhanced senses the packed teens and sweat were getting to them so they needed a minute to themselves.
"This has been a perfect three months." Rosalie said leaning her head on his shoulder as the watched the sky together.
He had to agree yeah it was a short time but it was filled with so much, he was grateful for this life not knowing what landed him here but he would thank whatever did. He kissed the top of her head, "Yeah you're right, I'm glad that I met you or I would probably be walking aimlessly around this world right now."
She giggled, she had heard enough of that from his mom to know that he was a bigger loner than her or Edward before the two of them met. If they hadn't come back to Forks then they wouldn't have never even met he would have just taken off to London and Hogwarts without meeting her.
The thought made her sad since she wouldn't have him or Artemis, he felt that because he squeezed her hand, "Don't think about what if's, We are together and that is all that matters." She agreed and they both started to slow dance to the music that they heard drifting out from the school, the rest of the Cullen's joining them.
Cory had felt the presence of Victoria watching them but she was only after Bella so he didn't do anything about it, if she went after his parents or Artemis then she would get his wrath. After one last dance they took off to go home the night was ending anyway and other than more dancing there was no other reason to be there.
Alice was the only one who was leaving with a big smile but he did feel the happiness radiating off of Rosalie as the walked out. When they got home they ended the night right, in the guest rooms there was the sound of moan but of course it was muffled by the charms set up.
He came out again carrying a tired Rosalie and they both kissed Artemis goodnight before they took a shower then got in their own bed for the night.
