Chapter 10: Misson?

'Screw you , want to fight?'

Zeph heard the curse as soon as he stepped into hall of building.He found two sides facing off each other .One side consisted of young man with black spiked hair and green eyes who was looking pretty pissed off whereas other side a man wearing suit with hands in his pockets smiling sarcastically.Both sides released their full energy in form of aura .The aura blasted off from their bodies went off like bomb.

Other spectators including staff members felt suffocated by dense clashing of energy auras.They purposely channeled of extremely condensed energy from their bodies to push each other back if weak person gets caught between it they would be sent flying by force.

"Such a dense aura by Sauren ,probably reaching second chakra level .He had quite purity of fire energy."

"Even Kyton who is at second chakra level is barely able to suppress it with his ice energy "

"Oh sh!t ,we have protection of counter screen but person who just came in he will be crushed by pressure."

Staff and other spectators realised that energy wave of clash also bounced towards Zeph but it was too late to do something or atleast shout warning so he may not get caught off-guard.

As both fire and ice energy waves of aura clash came toward Zeph he realised that if he didn't dodge he will be knocked back but there was no time to dodge as he was caught off-guard by the waves.He simply didn't think that someone would be really fighting inside mercenary hall.So to counter waves he hurriedly channeled lightning energy through his own body and compressed it to release his own aura to clash with upcoming energy.

All onlookers were lamenting over fate of just entered guy.They heard a huge cackling sound as white coloured energy aura fiercely struck incoming fire and ice energy and disintegrated both.They saw white aura fiercely clashing with both ice and fire energy and now three tier equilibrium is constructed between auras .

Both Kyton and Sauren gazed toward Zeph and he clearly was watching straight ahead . Then sound came of opening door as someone came from inside and shouted.

" Both of you stop ,this place is not for fighting ,if you want to fight go outside and have battle don't destroy public buildings.Both you have to pay 15 percent of your latest commission payment as fine .Now get out "

Hearing the voice both of them retracted their auras.Zeph also stopped channeling of energy.Hearing the word 'fine' corner of Sauren's mouth started twitching.

"Hey sorry boss , let me go this time .I promise I will not do it again.You see this man was lying straight through face that he alone captured that beast whereas I know that s impossible."

"Well do you have any proof "asked boss.

"Yes ,Sauren if you want to defame me you must provide sufficient proof otherwise you can shut your trap"smirked Kyton as he winked toward Sauren.

"No I don't have proof but I am sure "

"let's forget about it then Sauren ,now you both can go . Don't disturb corporation buisness.

Zeph was quietly watched as dispute was settled by the so called 'Boss'. Then boss approached him and extended his hand for shake and introduced himself ,

" I am boss of this branch of mercenary corporation,name Elven.Nice to meet you youngster .It pleases me extremely to see such talented young warrior to visit our office.Can you tell us how we can help you?"

Zeph did not understand niceties as he directly shaked his hand and replied,"I will like to register as mercenary"

"Surely ,would you like some tea so we can discuss some topics or would you like to do it now"

"Now"

Zeph nodded as he thought he didn't have anything to share with this man.Elven raised his eyebrow as he figured out the personality of young man ,He told receptionist to fulfill formalities.

"Here May will help you with procedure.Now if you excuse me"

He went away back to his own room after giving instructions to May the receptionist.

Zeph waited for some time after May responded to him that he is successfully registered as D rank mercenary .He can take any of D rank missions and after completing ten such missions can take C rank missions.After completing 1 C rank mission he increase his rank .furthermore ranks could be similarly increased by completing 50 C rank ,100 B rank missions respectively to reach highest A rank.

Zeph nodded as he took his identification coin and stored it inside his pocket.He was beginning to move toward mission board when receptionist called him

"Excuse me, sir Zeph ,there is suggestion if you like?"

" What is suggestion?"

"Sir there is mission right now which is C+ rank ,and if you accomplished this mission you can directly be printed to C rank .Are you interested"

"Can I directly take C rank mission?"

"No sir ,but our boss can recommended you to higher ups if you agrees to take mission. Don't worry sir he himself asked me to do so."

"Ok I will decide after reading the mission"

"Right sir ,this is the file of mission"

Zeph took the mission file and sat down to read the mission details.

'Mission rank- C+

Objective- Mercenaries are required to form 5 man team preferably of experienced C rank to investigate the source of missing villagers from distant village of Rook .

Details- Available information is limited with only confirmation of 100 villagers abruptly disappeared over ight from village no sound was heard by travellers ,no signs of forceful abduction no signs of blood shed. Everything is same as it used to be in village with nothing missing only people.One team of scout was sent to obtain information but we lost contact with whole team .

Inference- done by some demon,beast or yaksha. Probably of low rank that's why used covert means than rampage.

Advice-Proceed with caution .Can be trap of criminal.'
