Chapter 2: First day at Fukurodani
A/n: This is my first fanfic if you don't like then it's ok I know there are better fanfics out there but I wanted to try writing since that's what I am good at in my opinion, oh one more thing Maria is trying out for the boy's volleyball team I actually know if it's allowed or not but for the sake of this story lets just say it is, I also got this idea from the author of Our sunshine girl so go read that fanfic on Wattpad. So enjoy🥰
Maria pov:
It was my first day at Fukurodani Acadamy and I am excited but nervous as well, *This school is huge I can't believe I'm actually here* as I walk into my new class, I saw a familiar face sitting by the window, he had crow black hair, deep blue eyes, and an emotionless face. I introduced myself and I sat right next to 'pretty boy' who was sitting right next to the window. He didn't really notice me but I didn't care because the only thing that was on my mind was tryouts for volleyball. *Should I talk to him or at least say something* as soon as I was about to say something he asked me something that really shocked me.
"D- do you remember me?" he asked me but he wasn't looking at me.
"Um.....I- I don't really know" I stuttered not knowing what to say.
"It's fine, you do look familiar," he said slightly smiling.
"I- I do, wait how do I look familiar if we have never met?" I replied with a surprised face and slightly confused.
"I don't know, you just look familiar that's all," he said who is still isn't looking at me but I didn't mind besides we don't know each other but only look familiar.
After class, I went down to the gym for the tryouts and I was the only one who was there for tryouts. I felt a little scared since I was the only one trying out but exciting at the same time, I look around the gym but didn't see anyone just as I was about to leave the gym I heard a voice behind me. I turned around to see a tall boy standing in front of me and just stand there frozen *he's freaking tall*
"Uh....hello, hey, are you lost?" asked a boy who was in one of my classes.
"N- no, I'm just here for volleyball tryouts, do you know where the could captain be?" I asked nervously looking around.
Then I heard one of the boys shouting, I look to see who it was and it was a boy with white hair with black streaks and golden eyes, and he was at least around 6ft tall.
"Hey hey hey!" shouted the boy with the golden eyes "I heard you were looking for the captain," he said while looking down at me.
"Yeah, do you know where he is?" I asked while looking straight into his eyes.
"You looking right at him, silly," he said to me while doing a pose.
"Oh so you're the captain of the Fukurodani Academy volleyball team," I said to him while crossing my arms.
After a few small talks with the captain I learned a few things about him:
1. His name is Bokuto Kōtarōu
2. His position is the ace
3. He is the 5th best spiker in the world or so he tells everybody
4. He was Akaashi's best friend
I got to meet the rest of the team as well and they were pretty cool about me trying out for the boy's volleyball team, they kept asking me why I wanted to join the boy's volleyball team then the girl's team and I kept giving them the same answer 'because I want to see how well I work as a group with my opposite gender' but they just keep on asking.

Akaashi pov ❤️:
I was on my way to the changing room and I heard voices and volleyballs hitting the ground from the gym, to my surprise the team was already practicing, but what surprised me the most was the new girl she was practicing with them. *Damn she's pretty good I wonder if she's trying out for our team, it would really help* After I got done changing Bokuto-san runs up to me and starts talking about the new girl.
"Akaashi have you seen Maria play volleyball, she is amazing and she is also trying out to be a middle blocker and she is doing amazing!" exclaimed Bokuto whiling jumping up and down with happiness and excitement.
"Really, she's in one of my classes," I said while looking at Maria's practice serves, smiling a little *she is good and she might be the perfect player we need for the team* "C'mon Bokuto we gotta go practice," I said still watching Maria practice.
"Ok coming!" he hooted.
After practice, we went our separate ways, while walking I get a text from Bokuto saying how we should add Maria to our volleyball group chat, I told him it was ok to add her, I also told him to ask her permission first.

At home
It was already 9:30 and I was scrolling through Instachat (Instagram and Snapchat put together) and saw that Maria had added me to be her friend *how did she get my account, I bet it was Bokuto or the other team member* I decided to add her back since I didn't want to be rude. After adding her she texted me a few minutes later:
Texting:
[Maria] 9:50 pm
'Hey Akaashi, that's your name right?'
[Akaashi]
'Yeah, that's me'
[Akaashi]
'Hey, how did you get my Instachat account'
[Maria]
'Bokuto gave it to me'
*Of course, he did*
[Maria]
Gtg Akaashi I'll see you tomorrow gn'
[Akaashi]
