Chapter 11: Chapter 11
A taxi stopped at the side of the road, then two girls got out of the taxi.
Then, the taxi drove back, and continued its journey.
"I feel bad for you, because tonight I have to stay in your apartment again" said one of them, who is Maureen. Because the two girls, are Maureen and Sophie.
A smile began to etch on Sophie's face, then she took Maureen's shoulder, and said, "You don't have to feel bad for me, because I don't feel trouble by you at all."
"But still, I feel bad for you, Sophie," said Maureen, bowing her head, "Plus, you had an argument with Mr. Arthur," she continued.
With a smile still etched on her face, Sophie rubbed Maureen's shoulder, and looked at her coworker from the side, "It's okay Maureen, you don't have to think about it. Besides, I feel good to be able to help you, and you are staying overnight in my apartment, so I don't sleep alone," she said.
"Very well, then thank you," said Maureen, turning her head towards Sophie, and smiling.
"You're welcome," Sophie replied, nodding her head, and smiling at Maureen, "Then let's go across," she continued, and Maureen just nodded.
Then they started walking, and across the street, to get to Sophie's apartment, which was on the across there.
"Watch out!!!" shrieked someone, making them both immediately turned their heads. But they were so surprised, when they saw a car, which was speeding towards them.
Seeing that, made Sophie immediately round out her eyes, and remembered an incident that had happened to her friend. Immediately she took Maureen's hand, and invited her to run.
And after arriving in front of Sophie's apartment, they immediately stopped running, and caught their breath.
"Are you all right?" Sophie asked, turning her head towards Maureen, who was standing next to her.
But Maureen just nodded her head, because she was still in shock, over the incident that nearly cost her life. Luckily, someone yelled at them, and Sophie quickly grabbed her hand and invited her to run. Because if not, they would have been crash by that car, and maybe now they are lying in the middle of the road, with blood coming out of their heads.
"Then let's go in," Sophie said, hugging Maureen's shoulder. And again, Maureen just nodded her head. Then, they immediately walked, and entered the apartment, where Sophie lived.

"How was today, Arthur?" said the man in his fifties, turning his head towards his son.
"As usual, Dad, running smoothly" replied Arthur, with his head lowered.
"Then, you took Maureen back to her house, right?" asked his father, staring at him.
Hearing what his father had just said, Arthur immediately fell silent, and remembered this afternoon he didn't take Maureen back to her house, because the girl chose to stay at her friend's apartment again.
Seeing Arthur who was just silent, made his father confused, and frowned, "Arthur, why are you just silent?" he asked, causing Arthur to wake up from his reverie.
Immediately Arthur nodded, with his head still bowed, "Yes Dad, I took Maureen back to her house, as your ordered" he replied, deliberately lying to his father, because he couldn't possibly tell the truth.
"Really? You're not lying, are you?" asked his father, who looked incredulous, and narrowing his eyes.
"Yes Dad, I'm not lying to you" replied Arthur, while nodding his head.
"Good" said his father, nodding and looking away, "Because that means, you obey what I command" he continued.
But Arthur just nodded, without saying anything. But now, he feels guilty and sinful, because he already lied to his father.
"Then on Saturday, you invite her to have dinner with us. But I want, you pick her up to her house, and you have to come back to take her home" said his father.
Arthur immediately rounded out his eyes, and lifted his head, after hearing what his father had just said, "What?! I have to pick her up, and take her home?" he said, looking surprised, and incredulous.
"Yes, you have to do that" replied her father, nodding and turning to him, "Because I didn't want to, she was picked up by my private driver again. After all, you are her future husband, so it should be you who did it, not someone else, or my private driver," he continued, staring at Arthur sharply.
"But Dad, I can't do that" said Arthur, lowering his head again.
"Fine, it's okay" said his father, so that Arthur, immediately glanced at him, "But starting tomorrow, you go to the office, by using a taxi" he continued.
Hearing what his father said, made Arthur immediately frown, and looked at the man in his fifties with confusion, "Going by taxi? You mean?" he asked, looking clueless.
"What I mean is, from tomorrow on I will be confiscating your car, so you go to the office by taxi," replied his father, without turning his head.
"But Dad, why did you do that?" asked Arthur, who still looked clueless.
"Because you don't want to pick up and take Maureen back to her house, on Saturday," his father replied, turning his head at him.
"But I bought the car, with my own money, Dad," said Arthur, without taking his eyes off his father.
"That's right, you did buy the car using your own money" replied his father, nodding his head, "But you get the money, from my company that you manage, and that means it's still from me" he continued.
Arthur immediately sighed roughly, and lowered his head, having heard what his father had just said.
"Remember Arthur, you are nothing without me, so you better obey all my orders, if you want to still live in luxury. Besides, it's for your good too" said his father, staring at him a little sharply.
But Arthur just kept quiet, with his head still lowered. And now, he feels more and more pressured by his father's words, he is even feel more stressed.
"So you better, stay a good boy, if you don't want to lose all the property you have," said his father, as he got up from the chair he was sitting on, and left.
