Chapter 8: The Lich Queen.
The gray woman had a shocked look on her face and then said, "You can speak my language? Very interesting. I said, so you are the one that has been wrecking having in my dungeon. I have been watching you for the last couple of weeks. You are very interesting indeed. No one had made it past my goblin chieftain on the 10th floor and yet, you are standing before me, the final challenge of this dungeon, by yourself. It is a commendable feat."
I looked at the woman and now, I had the shocked face this time and said, "This is a dungeon? I thought this was a really weird cave. I guess I got lucky."
The woman laughs and says, "What do you mean lucky? I think you would call it misfortunate because now you are going to die."
I said to her, "Many things have tried to kill me in this dungeon, and they have all failed so far. What makes you think that you will be any different."
The woman stands up with a serious and annoyed look on her face and said, "Those same things that tried to kill you earlier will get a second chance at it. Behold!" And she raises her hands toward the ceiling and the whole room starts to shake. I pull out the staff of Zamany with one hand and my spear in the other. As soon as I did that, I looked around and saw, what looked to be every creature I had killed in this 'dungeon' so far, including all the spiders and the queen spider. I screamed like a 5-year-old child. I am not even going to lie about it. I never wanted to see those spiders ever again.
It was not only the spiders and their queen, the minotaur, and the orc chieftain, and all their minions were there. Skeletons, goblins, and kobold They all showed up for this party. There were even slimes. Once I was done screaming, I quickly used 'lightning strike'. It is the best thing for a large group of people.
Lightning Strike Level 3
The user can summon 3 lightning strikes at the same time. The lightning strike will cause 1000 HP damage and will send out a shock in a 7-foot radius from each strike, causing 250 HP damage. MP cost 150.
If there is only one target like there was on the last floor when I summoned it at the lich, you do not really see the full effects of it. But in a situation like this, where we are in a tight space and there are a lot of enemies, it is the best. So, I summoned it at the minotaur and a lightning strike hit the minotaur, the queen spider, and a kobold. I kind of feel sorry for the kobold, as soon as the lightning hit it, it was gone. The other 2 at least had time to let out a dying roar before they disappeared. I was holding my new staff that doubles the HP damage of any attack magic I used, so instead of being 1000 HP damage and 250 HP damage spreading out, it was double that.
In an instant, hundreds of my former fallen enemies disappeared like they were never there in the first place, and this quickly made this staff one of my new favorite toys for fighting. I then summoned my divine sword and started to go to work, destroying all the enemies around me.
"Bahahaha. Splendid! Truly splendid!" The woman who is still standing on the stage said. I quickly focus on her red dot and find out she is a lich queen and a level 25. She is by far the highest level I have seen yet. I used 'platform' (which I guess is like jumping 3 times while in the air), and fired 2 magic canons at her, and sent my 5 flying swords at her at the same time, all while she was laughing. They all hit because she was not paying attention. She made me a little upset for laughing in the middle of a fight, and I made her REALLY upset when I hit her when she was not paying attention.
She then started to fire all kinds of magic at me. Fire magic, ice magic, she even threw a boulder at me. I have no idea where she even got a boulder from. As I am running around, dodging her attacks and beating up her summoned army, I was also watching my MP bar going slowly back up. When it back to a little over halfway full, I used platform again and quickly fired a lightning strike and a magic canon at her, while also sending my divine swords at her again. She put up a magic barrier before everything could hit her but, the lightning strike being as powerful it was, especially since I now of my new staff, hit the barrier and it shatters, and the lightning continued to travel towards her and ultimately, hitting her. The magic canon and the divine swords also hit her. She freezes in place, looks at me, and then shatters into light particles. The rest of her army also disappears when she does, and I get a notification that I am now a level 21. I leveled up 4 times in that fight. I check my minimap to make sure there are no red dots, and then I walk over to the stage and sit down on it. I had to come this way anyway, the treasure chests were behind the throne, but I was a little tired and I wanted to go through my status screen real quick just in case something else pops up that I must fight. Having 8 A/P I upgrade my divine sword. Now it lets me control 15 swords and I can add any magic I have an affinity with, to all the swords I am controlling. That means, since I can use fire, ice, and lightning magic, I can now add those effects to my flying swords.
I am going to need more good swords. I can use all the steel swords I have collected, hoping I would be able to sell them but, I think my Damascus steel swords are the best. That just means I will have to find more. I stand up and go over to the 3 treasure chests that are behind the throne and stab each one of them with my spear. These chests were huge, they came up to my chin. That is how tall they were. I opened the first one and there was a bunch of gold and 12 books. Feeling a little disappointed, I quickly put everything into my inventory and move over to the second chest, and opened it up. There was more gold, 5 more Damascus steel swords, and a set of gray and black arm bracers. I put everything into my inventory and looked at the arm bracers, they are called Lich Queens Arm Bracers, which doubles the user's MP while worn. I quickly put them on. My MP which was at 700 after leveling it up, is now at 1,400. I am very happy now.
I walk over to the third chest and open it up, there is a lot more gold, 3 rings, and a scroll. I put the gold and rings into my inventory and then pick up the scroll and it disappears. {New item acquired} That is the first time I had ever seen that notification. I focus on it, to get more information and {Final Boss Contract.
The user can now form a contract with the final boss of the dungeon, Lich Queen Tavanya. Would you like to complete the contract?}
Figuring, at least I will finally have someone to talk to now, I confirm the contract and the lich queen appears before me. She looks at me and says, "Since I am a Queen and you are now my contract holder, that makes you my King. I am yours to command."
I stood there with my mouth and my eyes open as wide as they would go. Needless to say, I was shocked. I did not expect to become her King. I had never even had a girlfriend before.
