Chapter 7: Chapter 5: You're Quite Welcome
I can't help myself from being curious about the other members of our club. I guess what Yuno said is accurate, that we're all kinda weird. I hope our club will be a success.
Anyway, the campaign for the student council starts now. My team finished making our campaign materials and we're now hanging some posters by the corridor.
We're up against 4 other teams. My party list is the only one that has members who are scholars. I tried recruiting other students, but they chose to be part of other party lists. Let's say that I'm the second top student but that doesn't change the fact that I'm just a scholar to them.
"Look who's here." said the girl as she approached us and looked at me from head to toe. She is Annie Fujima, candidate for the president of Party D.
"Poor scholars trying hard to join the student council." said the girl beside her then laughed. Look who's talking. Excuse me? Trying hard? They are the ones trying hard just to look 'beautiful' with all that stuff in their face!
"You got some problem with that?" I asked. I hope they know that I'm quite short-tempered. These girls are starting to get on my nerves.
"Yes, this school has a problem because they allow poor people like you to participate in the election!" Annie shouted which caught the attention of other students. What's wrong with this girl?
"Then build your own school, and then do whatever you want. You're rich remember?" I replied which made her more furious.
"Rin, just let them be," Chelsea whispered to me.
"I'll just let them look down on us?!"
"Pres, don't mind them." my other teammates said. That's the reason why they keep on bullying us 'cause we let them do as they please!
"Who are you to answer me?!" her face looks amusing. She looks so annoyed.
"I'm Rin Ayuzawa, it's not so nice to meet you-" I closed my eyes when she suddenly raised her hand and was about to slap my face but...
"Hey, let go of me!" I saw Aki holding her right hand.
"How can you run for SSC president with that attitude?" he said with piercing eyes.
"D-Did you just protect that filthy schola-"
"Didn't she tell you that her name is Rin Ayuzawa?!" I've never seen Aki being this serious before. His cold stare was scary, Annie is probably about to pee in her skirt. Get lost.
"GAHHH! Let go of me!" she shouted out of frustration and walked out.
Aki glared at the gossipers around us and they left. I walked towards him little by little, because he has this scary aura when he gets angry.
"A-Aki?" I called him nervously.
"Are you okay?" his eyes turned soft as he approached me. How can he change his mood suddenly?
"I-I don't need your help but t-thank you." I stuttered. I don't know why I'm getting nervous right now.
"You're quite welcome, Miss Number Two." he suddenly lowered his face to the same level as mine and patted my head. His face is so close-
"PAK!"
"Ouch! What was that for?" he shouted when I slapped his face. I don't know how to react to what happened so I just let my reflexes do what they want.
"I-I feel like slapping your face. You got some problem with that?" Why did he pat my head anyway? It's not necessary!
"You're blushing." he teased me.
"No, I'm not!" I know I am blushing but I don't know why.
"Yes, you are-"
"I SAID I'M NOT!"
"PAK!"
"Ouch!" he shouted when I hit his arm. It's his fault. He's too naughty.
Aki's POV
Our first day of the campaign finally ended. I was with Yuno who was resting on the rooftop of the school. I can't help myself but smile as I recall her reaction when I patted her head. She blushed, she just keeps on denying it.
"Mr. President quit smiling, you look crazy," Yuno said while teasing me.
"Don't call me that." I scold him.
"It's obvious that you're gonna win right?"
"Underestimating others won't do us any good." his mouth turned 'O' when I said that. Do I look like I'm joking right now?
"Hmm, this isn't like you. She indeed changed you huh," he said and winked at me.
"Oh, shut up."
