Irritation sprouted in Diamant, she searched through her gown for her dagger and placed it carefully on the table, right in front of her. "I might not be able to account for whatever happens tonight." She raised her head, looking straight at him for the first time since they had gotten to the table. "I'm drunk."

Aaron pulled his hand away like as if he had been burnt, a light glare on his face. "Fine, I will give you tonight but if this persists tomorrow, I won't back down easily."

Diamant's hands tightened on her dagger at that. Seeing that her thinking was very much clouded, he moved away from her and said icily. "Goodnight, Fireball."

Immediately he left, she raised the goblet to her lips but it didn't quite make it. Her hands were trembling and she had to drop the goblet right back on the table. Uncontrollable tears rushed down her face, she raised her hands to her chest like as if to stop it from squeezing painfully.
