Chapter 5: Chapter 5
The next day after escorting Elizabeth home, I was on my way to one of what I'm sure are many taverns in port royal. I am currently garbed in my 'captains regalia' or uniform.
As I walk in one of the bar wenches sashayed toward me "Captain, can I get you a table?" She asks sweetly. She is probably only around 17-20, it's hard to tell really, brown hair, blue eyes, fairly stacked.
"Aye, lass, looking for some decent crew today, if you don't mind, also a meal and a cup of wine if you would" I tell and ask her while handing the pretty girl a generous amount of silver. She nods quickly, gives a beautiful smile and walks off quickly taking to a few people along the way.
A few minutes later she comes back with a good bowl of lamb stew and my wine. "I sent the young men off to the other taverns and inns around the town, anyone looking should be here by the next few hours I would assume!" She told me with what seems her signature smile.
"Thank you dear, may I know your name?" I ask politely. She is pretty but I'm not really intending to go any further than politeness though. At least not until I know of there will be anything between myself and a certain highborn girl. Oh well, it never hurts to look anyways.
"My name is Abigail, good captain! Is there anything else I can get for you, or do for you?" She almost purrs. It's a temptation to agree to her advances but I can't just now... sigh.
"For today anyways, I think this will sadly have to do. Perhaps another time though?" I tell her with my own smile. Hoping to keep her at least friendly to future possibilities.
"Why of course captain! I think you know how to find me if you change your mind!" She says with a wink before sashaying away.
With that my quartermaster showed up about 30 minutes later to help me deal with the possible future crew. About an half hour after that perspective individuals began showing up to hear the spiel. I won't bore you with the details, we ended up with 27 extra men for crew. Nobody really stood out to me as anything but extra hands really so it was boring work.
We would cast off tomorrow to look for our first ship to loot as well as take a cargo of sugar and tobacco to Portmouth England. And maybe while we are at it, go after the treasure from my map? Yes that could be fun.

The next day we were rigging the ship to leave port "Alright gents get us out of here, cast off! Weigh anchor! I bellowed "we sail to Portsmouth!"
""Aye!"" the crew yelled back with excitement.
After several hours at the helm of my ship I retire to my cabin, leaving the ship to Ackley, my quartermaster(just decided his name...) to handle while I went to rest for a few hours. When I opened my canon door I was somewhat startled with what I found in there, a one Elizabeth Swann just sitting there on my bed in trousers and a shirt, not to dissimilar to what the other sailors were wearing just better quality.
"If you don't close your mouth, a fly might fly in you know!" She said sounding extremely amused and most likely satisfied with herself.
After a moment "well excuse me, it's not exactly every day I have a beautiful women just waiting for me in bed" I said while smirking at her, knowing she couldn't flirt or take it further than that. She blushed prettily though so that's something.
"Well, come claim your prize captain!" She cooed with a little heat in her voice while blushing much more heavily. Well fuck me it looks like I may have misjudged her abilities just a little bit I just sighed out loud though
"Haha ok, you may win this once but I will of course win the war." While she just gave me a self satisfied smile.
"I am sure you will my captain!" She laughed out loud at me "I am sure you will."
Then she sighed "so I may not have thought things out completely. Mmm what exactly will do do on ship while we are at sea? Where will I bunk and stuff? I did take into account my being here in terms of supplies, and added enough for several people for a month in food and drink." She told me, either expectantly or curiously, I couldn't tell which really.
"Well, Elizabeth, since your on board ship, you will be added to the ships log as a guest, I will also like to thank you for the supplies, while we weren't hard up, it always helps.
And lastly you will take my bunk while I will set up a hammock outside the door of the cabin, I will add a sheet for my own privacy a little further down the hall as a sort of divide so don't worry, that way anyone will have to go through me to get to you, it will also settle my mind knowing you are safe. I trust my original crew well enough, but we did take on several dozen unknowns so better safe than sorry, yes? You can also be permitted to roam the main deck so long as the weather is fair, to get fresh air and to see the scenery, as it can be quite nice. What do you think Elizabeth?
She sighed after a few moments of thought and agreed to my terms and rules as they were more than fair considering she stowed away.
"Also, if you would like to learn anything while we are out to see, you need just ask." I told her after a moment of thought.
"What would you teach me hmmm Alexander?" She got up from the bed walking close to me.
I may or may not have gulped a bit, this is not the personality I remembered from the movie! "Well whatever you want really my dear lady! I would go with learning to shoot a pistol, as that could save your life one day? You could learn the different parts of the ship, like piloting or even swordplay?" I answered quickly. She just smirked... sigh I think I have been played.
"Good answer! So basically whatever I want Hmm, I would like to learn to shoot and maybe pilot a ship if you are willing to teach be Alexander" she actually got a serious look for a moment, her eyes almost glowing with anticipation.
"Of course I will personally teach you. You don't think I would leave you to the mercy of the crew do you?" I actually had to scoff at that.
"it's late though, you should rest easy tonight" I say softly, brushing my hands along her cheek before grabbing my hammock and a few necessities and leaving the compartment.
