Chapter 3: Chapter: The Contract 2
Tuesday morning, when Anna was waiting for the jeepney, outside the subdivision the black Lamborghini car stopped on her front.
"good morning!"Mr. Yang greeted her while the window of his car was rolling down.
Anna smiled
"Mr. Yang !" she greeted him back
"Come on, I will send you to school" He invited her
Anna had a second thought
"Get in ... don't be shy, I came from my friend, two blocks away from here, I saw you and thus wanted to give you a ride "he explained
Anna got inside the expensive car.
" You live here?" he asked astonishingly to the place where she lives
"Yes, unexpected my sister won a house and lot last week so...yes!" she said feeling proud
"Wow...! Very lucky, "he said and smiled at the lady
"By the way, I was planning to meet you at lunch ...since we've met now so I need to tell you something."
she was amazed after she got in, the engine was loud, and a felt rumbling through her bones. when Mr. Yang starts the button.
Mr. Yang gave the brown envelope to the young lady,
"What is this? "she's intrigued
"Open it" he requested
Anna raised her eyebrows and started to pout his kissable lips.
" I don't know if it was a gift to you or not "he spoiled her " but your grandfather gave that"
They drove off to University.
Anna opened the envelope, slowly pulled the thread on the center of the envelope and she leisurely rotated the thread that surrounded it. she picked up the papers inside the brown small envelope. She saw the letter and was eager to read it.
While Anna was reading the letter, she started to frown and changed her reaction. Her forehead wrinkled, her eyes narrowed. when she was in the middle of reading a letter from her grandfather, she folded it and didn't want to continue, she looked away, her beautiful eyes filled with tears and she couldn't hold them, she secretly wiped her tears while looking outside the window.
The car stopped after the traffic light changed to red color from yellow. The people seem frozen at the pedestrian crossing.
" It is true?"Anna asked with a croaky voice
Mr. Yang looked at her while holding the steering wheel.
He nodded "It's the letter from your grandfather, he wrote it eight years ago" he explained " I know it's hard to believe but... we promised... and that has been included in our brotherhood since high school..." he explained to Anna
Anna remained silent, she was trying to understand what was written in the letter but her mind was closed and didn't want to sink in with the all information. her eyes filled with tears
A second later, the traffic light changes to the Go signal. Mr. Yang drove off. Anna tried to look again in the letter, she read the contract and the passbook that was included in the envelope. She looked at Mr.Yang,
Mr. Yang caught her gaze "That is all for you, including that passbook, and half of it was transferred to your account, when the company officially accepted you as the CEO of the company, all the assets were gonna transferred to your account".
When they arrived at the University, Mr. Yang Parked his car front in of the School, everyone caught their attention because of the luxury car.
Anna is a shy type of person and gullible thus she didn't come out
" Mr. Yang!, " Anna said
"Uh uh !" Mr. Yang interrupted her "You're forgetting something"
Anna's eyes widen
" How many times that I told you, to call me Lolo, not Mr. Yang," he said
Anna nodded and tried to smile
"What is it? "
"Can you park your car at the back of the university, I am shy to get out in here, "
"What?"
" They will think that I am rich " Anna explained
Mr. Yang laughed "And so you are," he said proudly
"No I am not "she answered quickly
" Mr. Yang turned to his right, Don't you really know who I am right?" he confused
Anna shook her head "No"
"I am Chairman Yang!, and that company is mine, but as you've read just now ... your grandfather was the real owner "
"is it a Prank...?" she asked "That is common right now"
"Do you really think is it a prank? he seriously asked the lady
"I don't know "she answered
" promised me one thing ... don't tell to anyone about this..." he requested "It's for your own safety "he continued giving her a warning
Anna felt terrified when she heard those words from him
" Sa... safe?" she asked
chairman nodded "A lot of people were interested in the company" he explained "so let's keep it secret"
" I don't want to be married, and...I'm still studying" she interrupted him
" I know, but you can still continue your studies even if you married "the chairman insisted
" WHAT?" she raised her voice "My father doesn't allow us to have a boyfriend while studying" she explained "Do you really think he will be allowed me to marry "she laughed "That's not gonna happen "She continued " No!" She added
" Are you mad..?" He said
Anna nodded and
Mr. Yang drove his car and parked in the backyard of the University.
"I'm going, "Anna said and got out of the car.
She continued to walk away and entered the campus. while Mr. Yang drove off.
Anna sat in her seat, Shania came forward
"What is wrong?"Shania closed her face to her "Something bothering you? "she asked
Anna shook her head "I'm tired ... "she said and sighed "Do you know that we're still cleaning our new house" Her excuses
Shania laughed "You need to rest ghurl "
"You know what you and your sister are very lucky, " Shania said
"Yeah, I know, thankfully to God"
"Yes, out of nowhere, Your sister won a house and lot, with free furniture "
Anna smiled
"And take note, you're not living anymore in a slum area. " she continued
, "Yes, it's true "
"by the way, do you know the lavage and garage? Shania changes topics suddenly when she remembers they have quizzes. Anna smirked and shrugged her shoulder
"I'm always confusing to them" she leaned on her desk "Tell me what is it ?"
"GAVAGE is the administration of food, and drugs by force, typically through tube feeding "she explained Anna shooked her head
"What about Lavage?" she was interested in knowing
"it therapeutic cleaning or washing out the colon or the stomach "Shania answered
"Ohh lavage is out...while the Gavage is... in " she laughed and sat back "Now I know" she understood the two of them.
"By the way, have you heard about Kevin?" Shania asked
Anna and Shania went to the washroom
" Oh my Goodness, he is dating?"
" ouch!" she said while clutching her chest and they both laughed
Kevin has been her crush since they were in first-year college.
" but two months or less, I don't remember... after they broke up...and now he is dating?" Anna asked
"third party " Frej Interrupted, " someone told me last two months, someone caught them in Hotel
"Hell no!!!" they grinned " Yikes.." they continued " meaning she is not a virgin anymore" and they both laughed
"Yeah Kevin is the first" Frej told them
"Legit ?" Shania asked
"Yeah! , "
they sighed "Oh dear !..., what department did she come from?"
"From Mass com..?"
"whoa! their reaction after hearing the news "Last girlfriend from tourism department... and now mass com..." Anna said
"so what is your problem with them?" Frej asked
"Nothing... " she answered her
two of her friends didn't want to believe that is why they both raised their eyebrows
"it true nothing!" she insisted "They are all pretty that is all" she whispered
"Don't worry girl. you're the last " Shania interrupted
"no!" Anna disagreed " he's my crush.. and period," she said
a few moments later, while they are walking in the hallway, Kevin suddenly appears in their front from downstairs
All of them were star-stuck, they froze
Kevin smiled at them "Hi girls" Kevin stopped and greeted them
They both waved and said hi
When Kevin passed, they walked fast toward their classroom when ...
"Anna" Kevin called her attention
Everyone turned around
"Yes?" Anna quickly response
Anna suddenly felt butterflies in her stomach, she could feel her heartbeat fast, lubdub lubdub her heartbeat sounds,.
" By the way, we had a council meeting, this Wednesday," he said with a masculine voice "You're coming right?" he asked
"um...ye...yes" she answered
"Alright then see you on Wednesday," he said and went off
"Ayeyeyeeye" her girlfriend's kilig for her "Kilig to the bones !!!" Shania and Frej said with excitement
(kilig means when used as an adjective, refers to what a person feels when exhilarated by an exciting or romantic experience; thrilled, )
"Ahhhhhhhhh" all of them laughed while entering their class. They teased Anna, she felt really shy and thought Kevin might hear what she said.
"It's alright, you don't need to be shy," Frej said
After their class, Anna went home. Anna starts searching on the webpage about Chairman Yang. She read about his family and company. So she realizes Chairman Yang is real and not a scammer. She saw all the family pictures, including the man that she was going to marry. She found out that Tom was already in a relationship, and she felt bad for him.
Anna felt that she had already met him. He looks familiar, but can't remember when, where she saw him.,
while having their Dinner, Anna can't stop asking her siblings, She's asking about their opinion...
"What if one day you're the CEO of the company ?" her sister laugh
"That's not a dream...and I'm sure Gonna take a lot of pain, tears, blood will you shed before you're going to be a CEO," Dana said
"It's true... How I wished it would happen to me," Karen said while washing her hands
"Are you done ?" Sarah asked Karen
"Yes, I'm done," She said
"So what if? A stranger came and told you" She's telling a story " You are the rightful heir of the company, your asset will be transferred to your name" she said while impersonating Mr. Yang
they sighed "Don't have too many movies, " her elder sister Karen said while tapping on her shoulder "You should focus on your studies, someday you will have your own hospital ... and become a CEO just like you're dreaming of since you were young" Karen continued
"tsk tsk tsk " she glared
" If that happens in my life ...yes... I will grab it " Sarah interrupted
"Well me too, like what happened in this house" Danna agreed
her elder sister Karen nodded
Anna drank her water "Okay "she said while she put all the dishes on the sink, while Sarah wiped the table.
Anna can't stop thinking about the Company. She's thinking what the best solution for her to escape especially the fixed marriage.
She thought that her father might have a cardiac attack if they knew she was getting married. Anna always thought about her family. She might strong outside like a tiger but deep inside she was like a lamb.
After washing the dishes she put all the plates and glass on the dish rack to drain the water before they were put on the cabinet.
Her sister is busy watching a film in the living room. Anna sat for a moment then went off to her bedroom. While walking in the hallway she saw her sister Sara studying.
" wow!! You've got a nice room, girlish" She was amazed, and she sat down on the single bed size, the wall was pink, and beside the bed there is a studying table and small lampshade over the table. Sara looked back at her and grinned.
"Want to sleep in here ?" she asked
Anna shook her head "no" she answered and lie down on the bed
"But I miss sleeping beside you" Sarah
She got up "Tsk," she said and stuck her tongue, and walked out
Her sister do the same "bleeeh" she said and smiled at her
Sarah is sweet, young, and vulnerable. She's good-looking compared to Anna. A lot of guys wanted to catch her attention but Sarah seem to focus on her studies. She does respect and always follows the house rule, which is not allowed to have a boyfriend until you graduated college.
Their elder sister Karen and Dana finished their studies without breaking the rule, thus they are the role model for them. Both of them are included in the dean's lister.
Their father is not perfect but he wanted the best for her children. He worked hard for his family. A God-fearing person, a disciplinarian, strict but sweet. They are not like the papa's girl but they respect and love the man, who is the pillar of their home. Who taught them to be strong in life and be meek.
Anna slowly walk to her room, she opened the window, the wind blew to her small face and whispered to her ears. The white moon shining and kissed her. The stars twinkling and singing to her eyes.
Anna can't say anything, doesn't know what to do. She's can't hold her tears.
She lie down on her bed and closed her eyes trying to forget.
Everything was vivid and fast. She positioned herself like a fetal in the womb, which makes her feel comfortable.
The wind blows strongly thus the curtain dances in the rhythm of the wind.
