There was silence on the field. Total silence. If one had to deceive this silence with a color, it would be pitch black silence.
Rackvelli was particularly shocked as he looked down at his timer. Fuck! that was a new record. He would be hard-pressed to find any one better, even in some of the top military schools he knew. But as their military instructor, Rackvelli regained his composure immediately. H was unwilling to lose composure in front of a bunch of rookies. He looked back to the race track.
Kenny came in second, a full 30-sec behind Argo. Third was Harry who was panting like a horse in heat. Jared was just behind him, leisurely jogging over the finish line. Adah was now slowly walking instead of jogging to meet up with the others.
One hour later...
Rackvelli looked at his timer, clapped his hands once to call attention to himself, and ordered the students to gather around him.
After the events of this morning, the students were naturally very obedient and well mannered. Thus they dragged their slightly recovered bodies, and gathered quickly.
Rackvelli nodded to himself at their attitudes "From today, your daily training will be divided into two categories: Your physical training, which will be handled by me..."Rackvelli chuckled seeing some of the students flinch.
"... and your magic training which will be handled by a special instructor hired for this very purpose. I'll will let him do the honors of introducing himself when you see him. Now, I expect each and everyone of you to be obedient and pay attention in class.
Did I mention that you will be graded regularly based on your performance in training, and that you will be sent out once your grades fall below.
No? guessed it must have slipped my mind. heh heh"
The students in their minds: Slipped my ass!
"Well, now you know. Work hard!" He continued.
The students in their minds: Work hard my ass!!
"Oh one more thing." Rackvelli stared at his smartwatch.
"You have 5 minutes to get to the Magical lessons room #1. Latecomers will be severly punished."
The students in their minds: Punishment my... Oh shit!
They scrambled and fell over each other in their hurry to get to the Magical lessons room. They had witnessed the previous punishment for late coming. And this next one was supposed to be severe! No one wanted to find out just how sever it would be.
Due to the grand tour they received yesterday, they had no problem making it to the Magical lesson room #1. The tricky problem was making it in 5 mins.
Maybe due to adrenaline, or fear, or perhaps they just got faster after the race, but they made it in just under 5 minutes.
Panting like suffocating fishes, they barged into Magical lessons room #1. Unexpectedly, it was empty. They guessed that the Instructor was still on the way.
Five minutes later. Just as they were tired of waiting and getting impatient, a booming voice echoed.
"HELLOOO LITTLE KIDS! I AM YOUR INSTRUCTOR, THE GREAT LEO!"
"I BET YOU ARE ALL WONDERING WHERE I AM HMM?"
"Umm, aren't u under the ground?" A weak voice rang out.
"COUGH...Cough" The mysterious voice chocked at what he heard. A moment later, The ground split open and a pillar of earth arose from below. There were two people on it. A bald muscular man, and a young pretty faced woman with braids.
The man sighed and spoke after a moment with a hint of annoyance of one who who's prank just failed. "Who was it that ruined my surprise?"
