Chapter 9: A new product and a new plan
Emma entered James' office and greet him. She bring along a man. The man's age seems like at late 30s.
" Let me introduce to you our head researcher. This is Edward. Edward this is our boss, James William." Emma introduce Edward to James. Edward then greet James.
" Hello Edward. Glad to have you in our company. Anyway, I want to show you something. Do you know what are these?" James ask Edward while pointing at the two Amu Sphere on his desk.
Edward then look at the Amu Sphere. A curious look can be seen on his face. This is because it is the first time he saw Amu Sphere.
"Boss, what are these things?" Edward can't help but to ask his boss. to satisfy his curiosity.
"Well, put it on your head. You can figure it by yourself. Let me show you how to wear it." James then take one of the Amu Sphere and then wear it. Before Emma and Edward enter his office, he already try it.
"Now, you wear it Edward. You also can try it Emma." After showing how to use Amu Sphere, he told Edward to try it while also gave the Amu Sphere he just wore to Emma. Emma and Edward wore the Amu Sphere.
"Now both you close your eyes." James then help them to turn on the Amu Sphere.
Both of their jerked off because they were shocked. In their view, there is white light then an interface was emerged in front of them. After couple of minutes, James then turn off both Amu Sphere then Emma and Edward took off the gear.
"Boss, is this Virtual Reality gear?" Edward asked James. In this world, there are already Virtual Reality gear. However, they don't need to close their eyes. The user also need to move so their avatar will moved according to their movement. But the thing that he just wore seems like use human's nerve.
"Yes, this is virtual reality. However it is quite different common virtual reality. I think you already figure out the difference. Now, what I want you to do is, to master this technology with your team. However I need you and your team to sign disclosure of this machine. Emma will prepare the disclosure. After your team master this technology, I want you to research further this technology. I want a virtual reality capsule. The main objective is to obtain virtual capsule technology. Can you do that?" James answered and told his plan to Edward.
"Sure boss, my team and I will gladly sign disclosure. We will not miss this chance." Edward answered excitedly.
"Good. Now I will give you these two first. They are called Amu Sphere. If you need more, just inform me. Also, try to finish it as soon as possible. The early this project ended, the more bonus your team will receive. One more thing, I want you to report to me personally when your team have a breakthrough."
"No problem boss. Don't worry, my team will do this project with our best effort. We will finished this as soon as possible."
"Good, you may leave now." Edward then take both Amu Sphere and leave the office.
"You can prepare the disclosure Emma."
"Okay James but I want ask. Is this gonna be our next product?" Emma curiously asked James. She actually excited. If this project was successful. The company will get more profits and also, they will the one and only company that can provide this technology.
"Hahaha, of course Emma. We will sell virtual reality capsule in the near future. We are gonna be super busy so prepare yourself."
"Hahaha, great. I will leave now and prepare the disclosure." Emma then bid goodbye to James.
"Miya, you now an intermediate Artificial Intelligence. Can you develop a virtual reality game?" James asked his AI, Miya.
"Before this I cannot aster but now I can. What kind of games do want me to create master?" Miya ask her master.
"Hmmm, can you create VRMMORPG? The theme should be galactic wars. Maybe kingdom building and army building. For the players, there should Lord and Adventurer. Player can choose either to be a lord or and adventurer. For the NPCs. Can you create basic AI to act as NPCs?" James already planned to create Virtual Reality game.
"I can create basic AI master. Intermediate AI can create Basic AI while Advance AI can create Intermediate AI. It will take a long time for me to develop this game master. Do you want to proceed master?"
"Yes, you may proceed. You can fill in any hole in my plan for the games. Just make the game to your best."
"Okay master."
'Now all my plan already being laid out. Hmmm, maybe I should strengthen myself. Well let's see my status.'
The reason why he want to strengthen himself was that he got a hunch that in the future there will be invasion from outer space. Why he think like that? Just last month, all five countries announce that they finally success have contact with alien civilization.
Now, all five countries were planning to create alliance. The plan was to create a federation. All countries will be united to be one. However there are opposition from royal faction in the beginning. They afraid of losing their wealth and power. But the population are more lean to federation. Representative from pro-federation faction were in negotiation phase with all five royals families.
James thought that, even though the federation was successful being created but there will be lot of problem in early phase of federation. However for him, he did not care about the struggle. He have confidence in himself and his company. He had a system.
Now he planned to strengthen himself and want his company to enter military technology sector. Before the invasion happened, he will create his own army. However that may take a long time to come. He still a significant fellow in this world. What he truly need right now are wealth and personal power.
